I think you were the only one who explained it clearly. As a beginner who needs to find her form in a safe way I needed this video to know what's really going on "VISUALLY" . Thanks for the video.
Does this mean that muscles only work together if they are co-activated? Heard about "tension-bias" what is it and how does it relate to archety?
My entire left arm is swollen after shooting 100 arrows threw my long bow…
I was a victim of #1, cheers ears
Awesome video! Thank you!
Thank you.
Question for you. My tendons and elbow on top draw arm are now injured. They were already hurting and I took some time off and when I went back to shooting on one of my draws it jumped forward on me and re injured it. Do you think maybe I injured the tendons? I can't even pick up my coffee cup without it hurting, pretty bad. Now I have to take more time off. Not happy about it
👍
It is my draw shoulder that hurts, but the same thing should apply... I'm probably just new to it still and stuck somewhere between building strength and being able to adjust for comfort.
Great knowledge. First time that somebody pays attention to the muscle endurance for muscle health.Everybody talks about archery but just a few about muscle power specific for archery .For recurve bow it's so much important.
Lifting weights exactly before bow training to focus the draw muscles?
😂😂😂😂
Is there an alternate for the face pulls. I feel like that would throw out my lower back
So you’re telling me I’m not supposed to draw to the sky at a million miles an hour with a deer at 15 yards?
The new video clips are hot!
great video, very instructive. :)
I'm relatively new to archery. Jumped straight into a 45 #recurve bow. My draw arm can go all day with it, but my bow arm elbow and shoulder hurt super bad after 20 shots or so. Causes me to take a break for a week before I can go again. So I got a wimp bow at 25 pounds to build muscle memory to but it's way to weak it feels, no strain at all. I do work out but honestly when I go back to the heavier bow the pain comes right back... guess I need to get one somewhere in the middle at 35# or so. It's really discouraging when most ppl I know shoot 80# bows with no problem at all.
Thanks so much for this Christian. I visited your website. Wow this resonates with me, as I am a rehab specialist myself. Been shooting from 2018 but with many AC joint and rotator cuff issues due to initial wrong biomechanic stabilizing at full draw. Would like to do the 6 weeks program. Just need to save up due to the exchange rate. Keep up your solid good work.
Great video-I have actually experienced severe pain in my bow arm shoulder, so much that I had to quit shooting for almost a year. My shoulder finally healed, but I still limit my shooting to prevent recurrence. Have you addressed bow arm shoulder injury in another video?
Feels unreal thanks
This is the ultimate best explanation available on the internet.
Too figety.
You're making great work. Thank You! All the best
My draw length is def a little short causing my front arm to not be as straight as I want causing front elbow/tricep fatigue but once I saw this video and consciouslly started pushing back a little with my front not just resisting all front elbow discomfort went away engages my back a little more thanks for this video
Great video.Thanks.
Thank you for this explanation. That pulling aid looks very interesting. What is it called?
Hi Archery Strong ..... are these exercises good for bowing of a cello?. I had rotator cuff surgery post a fall and dislocation of my right shoulder in Jan 2024. I just finished 6 months of Physical Therapy and I need to be able to play my cello again. My right arm muscles are weak on the that side and I want to get them stronger. I'm right handed and this is the arm I use to bow the cello with. Thank you for your time.
Hello Sir, greetings from Malaysia. Should i fully retract my scapula on my string arm ? To the point they “touch” ? Im new at this. Tqvm
im not into archery but do watch videos... i was wondering what about a back harness to keep the shoulders pulled back and stable i would think.... that would help alot
Any key exercise videos? Great analysis
Keep it up bro please, I have shoulder pain too huhu
My left ear enjoyed this.
Oh it is exactly what I need! Thank you for the explaining. I am a beginner of tradbow and I get a painful elbow of its upper side. I thought it was because I slightly bent my bow arm but now I realize that the reason should be my over-stressed grip. Thanks a lot.
I shoot a 105lb Hoyt made with custom limbs. I literally won't even talk to anyone who shoots less than 80lb. Get stronger.
jesus ur a tough guy aren’t you!
this is great, thanks
How many time in week i can praktice like this ?
Hi can you do follow along workout for archery?
My bow arm is always bent when I start pull the string. Any solution?
I’m a competitive archer and these tips really help me a lot thank you
Thank you.
How many reps should i perform?
How many reps and set should I perform?
1 minute 3 times
How many reps and set should I perform in each circuit?
Thanks again, Christian! I happen to it started doing hangs again just last week and hadn’t noticed your video until today. The level one hangs for me, as you well know, my limited range of motion, are great! Every morning, before shooting, and then often in the evenings, when I remember. Very cool!
I start every workout with 4 30 seconds dead hangs and end with 2.
I love hangs. I do dead hangs for a minute at the end of my workouts
What do you do when your biceps tendon is inflamed when drawing in your bow shoulder? Then never goes away. Only thing that helps is a cortisone shot but then it comes back after shooting. Going to give up archery most likely unless i can figure it out because its getting in the way of my surfing now : (
Glad I discovered your content. I'm basically in-between weeks 2 & 3. Getting ready for late Summer bow season in SE Florida. 👍
nice greetings. I have a problem with swelling and hardening of the fingers on the hand I use to shoot arrows. even my wounds are forming. I use a glove, of course. I shoot around 50lbs bows (traditional), I would like to improve my bow strength but my fingers are hurting. do you have any advice? thanks in advance.
You could try a finger tab. They can be a lot thicker (and therefore more padded) than gloves, which is especially useful for higher draw weights.
@rhokirsolx thank You, sir!
