My mom was a great cook. She learned to cook as a young girl from her mother and grandmother. So I grew up around someone who really knew how to cook and this lady really knows how to cook.

I don’t understand how adding the eggs at the end is any different from adding them at the beginning. Does it affect the custard somehow?

I’ve never had very good luck actually frying stuff in an air fryer but you can make some mean stuffed peppers using your air fryer lol. It will fry stuff in a pinch but there are a lot of more efficient ways of going about it in my opinion but they’re still handy little things to have in your kitchen.
Yes I agree that air fryer food does not get as crispy as deep fried but there are trade offs. Each method has its bonuses. I fry my bacon exclusively in the air fryer now.

Love this idea for a microwave Coconut Cream Pie. However, I am gluten free, can you substitute gluten free flour for the wheat flour? And, get the same crust? thanks
I must say, that, that is a lot of sodium you are using, because, every spice that you put into your flour and wet station, contained (salt). But I do appreciate your thorough explanation of using both the electric skillet, and the air fryer, because all of the other videos only said “medium heat “ when referring to the electric skillet, and every comment always asked “what is medium heat?” Also, I don’t remove anything from my dry station, because I usually use that leftover flour for gravy. Thank you for sharing your recipe with social media. PS, I cringed when you had the mixture on your hands, because I can’t stand the feeling, so I am anal about keeping the wet hand separate from the dry hand!

Looks good…curious if you can just mix the bacon in with the blender instead of putting it on top? I’m guessing either way.

I agree with how you incorporated the egg yolks. You tempered them first so they didn’t “fry” like you said. …. Smart move. Thank you for teaching me this. Tomorrow I’m making two. One for my aunt and uncle and one for my house.

Did you use plain flour or self rising flour?
That’s not coconut cream pie. That’s coconut meringue pie. Cream pies are topped with cream.
That’s what we call it in the south.

Well you can see by these comments that most do. I’m from Texas and all of us call it a coconut cream pie. It’s really not that big of a deal.
