How many people are currently playing this game? It looks great but it is quite old.

I'm not surprised by the lengthy application process for the professionalism in pvp aspect mentioned in the video and the simple fact of Goons being famous/infamous for their espionage gameplay tactics and paranoia that comes with that. Not a negative comment by any means. Goonswarm history is loaded with not only their infiltrations but also those defecting to them from other alliances.

Wow how can I convince you to coach me in game. I suck at PvP and got killed by solos and even npc’s and drifters… I really need some hands on fleet and of course it would be worth your time. Is that even a possibility?

Taking what ChatGPT says about anything at face value is ridiculous, and I can't stand how uncritically people treat it. It doesn't know anything. It will readily make up bullshit. And it's trained on (and therefore relies on) traditional text media like forums, Reddit, etc., so there is no way that it will ever fully replace them.

I believe there are players who play the game just to answer questions in the help channels... that's their passion, and there are quite a few of them.

The biggest issue is detailed information being out of date (i'm assuming out of date and not just wrong). I've used ChatGPT for strategy, tactics, and game mechanics questions but I've had challenges when asking about fitting help. I'd get responses with deprecated modules or with the wrong number of high/mid/low slots. These are easy enough to "fix" but you have to be aware of the issue. If you treat it like asking into the forums and getting a response back, without the filtering of other-player-feedback to correct things, it's pretty good. The training data was likely 20% wrong with limited corrections so you get that in the output.

I am a newer player and I can admit to learning a TON of systems via ChatGPT alone. I have never once used the in-game help channels and I've never asked a single question to my corp. I have been able to ask for fitting advice and it provides actual fits that I can copy into the fitting window. I have also been able to paste pyfa screenshots and it is able to interpret the results and make fitting adjustments based on the pyfa numbers. I have asked for interface questions like how to abandon my wrecks so my alt can salvage them. I have asked for help adjusting my scanning probes to scan down a site that I didn't have the scan strength to finish with the normal probe layout. I have asked questions about making new keybindings to make activating modules easier. I've asked for help about which skills to prioritize in order to maximize Tengu dps. These are just some examples, but ChatGPT has been the single best resource I've had in learning how this game works.

Let's be brutally honest-are player help channels even worth joining in 2024? Seriously, why ask questions there? We’re in an world where ChatGPT is fast, accurate, and available 24/7. Need a game tip, strategy, or quest solution? Why wait for outdated responses from some help forum when you can get an instant, on-point answer from GPT in seconds? MAYBE player help channels are becoming obsolete, yes?. Yeah, I said it. Forums, Discords, and old-school advice threads are like relics from a time before and ChatGPT is took over the scene, yes or no ???? Why deal with (sometimes toxic communities), slow responses, and outdated advice when GPT does it all, faster and smarter? What do you think? Let me know it below.

Goons are cancer. they destroyed BoB ( which was the best Corp EvE ever saw, generally speaking, mOo was good too ;) ) with filthy tactics because they just couldnt beat them, no matter what they have tried. Goons are just a bunch of Kids.

It's not PvP dough when you are attacking a mission runner with 0 kills. Then again that guy has been in the game for 2 years and should know better. Real PvP is @ null sec :)

I've been in Eve since 2009. Some on and off time there and there. Did tons of PVE and mining in highsec, mainly mission running. Sometimes ventured into lowsec time to time for a few lvl 5 missions. Then I decided to join Pandemic Horde, did tons of nullsec content with them. Also did tons of pve sites in nullsec. Then I give a break. Came back again. Chilling highsec pve again. The year is 2024 now. During all of these times I have never ever heard of this guy. None. Encountered countless other content creators countless times for solo pvp, fleet running and alike. But never heard of this guy. Do you know why? Simple: UA-cam algorithm simply haven't recommended his videos yet. But it recommended Ami's... Well, tough luck. Curse on algorithm , not to the people who haven't heard you! :)

i make the same and more per day in a mining alliance w free boosting but I had to almost max out mining barge and make a 1.7b hulk fit lol.
