Brisc was a long time CSM member who served there for quite a bit (2 or 3 terms? something like that) and Merkelchen was the second in command of goonswarm when Mittani was still Ally leader and CEO of Karma fleet. So both are ppl you could know and they well known within the Imperium and Init but I´m not sure about outside of that. At least some should know of Brisc as he was in the CSM for quite a bit.
Dunno, i was part of the Imperium for a long time now. Had my pauses but i still know the Mittani Times and also played after his step down. And i had no idea who this Guy is. I also had no idea who Merkelchen is until yesterday, where i coincidentally checked out Karmafleet do to a friend of my joining them. XD From my perspective, no one in the Imperium cares a lot about some Goon CSM Guys or the CEO of a Corp like Karmafleet. OMG, when people think they’re big streamers or Eve Online celebrities and then get upset about other content creators not knowing them, it’s just embarrassing. Ami, you don’t need to know him; he is rather unimportant fo the game, in my opinion. 😅
Brisc is known within his gameplay style he is focused to it with his main interest within others in that game bubble . he is not known by the greater part of players except he is yet another member of the csm that is focused in the null blocks .
Thank you so much for your video's. For the vast majority of us who are not in 0-0, who just want to play the game, but are tempted to join up with the null sec empires and expand their horizons, this series is a real eye opener, especially the whole participation model, which I am sure is contributing to many new bro's quitting. I have a serious long term health condition, and the last thing I need is a member of HR or an FC breathing down my neck. I really would recommend reviewing both Brave and EVE University, as this is how some of us learnt the game. I am biased but the Uni has been an excellent experience, but others experience may vary. Personally your solo approach seems to be more my style anyway, and I'd like to see more solo gameplay and your set up. Too much content, while good, seems to be geared up as recruitment video's, however after a short hiatus I am going back in taking what I have learned, and going on my own path, partly inspired by your approach. Indeed the whole solo PVP market, aimed at the 'newbro' market, focusing on setting up with a T1 frigate and looking at every aspect of PVP has struck a chord with me. There is a guy called Abbadon21 who has a YT channel called EveProGuides, who's content, while 'old', so in depth and sound, that if applied to todays meta, with your talent for a story telling arc, could really be a huge hit. He would certainly be worth reaching out to. Keep up the reviews, and the content Monika!
Brisc is a funny character. No need to take his words seriously. Half of what he is saying is a light hearted EvE Joke and he is fun to watch. He was in INIT. for a period of time and served on the CSM for a few terms. When INIT. decided to leave the Imperium, he joined goons.
Brisc was a very large part of INIT for years with being our "public figure". He would run our weekly podcats, news outlets, ect. He has since stepped back as a director in goons i believe. This sounds like this is his ego talking from not being as recognized anymore. I always had super positive interactions with him in fleet and anywhere else.
I know Brisc and I think he felt he was being trolled. Most people know him because he's been hosting the Meta Show for years plus he was on the CSM until he got term limited. I too find it a little odd that as an Eve content creator you don't know who one of the most recognizable people in the game is. But honestly KF doesn't care if you know about Brisc or anyone else. Come and have some fun with us.
Yes, I also didn't understand why he gave me so much attention during a stream. There were some goon streams about me, and I only watched a few seconds of each because it didn't interest me. Thats a game only. Pay attention to your online time. Take breaks. Meet friends. What do I care about who is who in the CSM? Not at all.
I mean they do giveaway supers from time to time, so totaly worth keeping an eye on the stream. Also i am pretty sure in all of history the whole 'do you know who i am' bit never really works.
Brisc is ineed pretty well known, at least to those who follow nullsec politics, he was also a long standing member of CSM among other things. He's also a pretty good tank at fleets since everybody wants to shoot him.
I can't agree with you. I'm a long time Imperium Member, former Corp CEO, pretty interested into Null Sec politics and i had no idea who that "big ego Person" was until today. XD

Never heard of the guy. He seems entitled and a bit arrogant/narcissistic. To be surprised that someone doesn't know who his majesty is made me laugh lol Calls himself a celebrity... I've been in Eve since 2009. Some on and off time there and there. Did tons of PVE and mining in highsec, mainly mission running. Sometimes ventured into lowsec time to time for a few lvl 5 missions. Then I decided to join Pandemic Horde, did tons of nullsec content with them. Also did tons of pve sites in nullsec. Then I give a break. Came back again. Chilling highsec pve again. The year is 2024 now. During all of these times I have never ever heard of this guy. None. Encountered countless other content creators countless times for solo pvp, fleet running and alike. But never heard of this guy. Do you know why? Simple: UA-cam algorithm simply haven't recommended his videos yet. But it recommended Ami's... Well, tough luck. Curse on algorithm , not to the people who haven't heard you! :)
I honestly think he is a cool guy for the most part. He can be a bit arrogant at times and this is definitely one of those times. I don't think it's necessary to know who he is...unless you are trying to join his alliance.

You should have stayed in [4S] lounge, much more laid back. They are a great group of guys with some high-sec corps also. Then again he did put it in perspective. Like he said, Goons know him , so maybe you did a little research about Goons you would know who his character is. ya maybe 'eve-celeb' is a bit of a weird way to say it, but he's fairly important in the internet space ship game .. which to some folks is 'serious business'. Eve is a complex game that's been around for quite some times. You're trying to join one of the more established and organized groups in this MMORPG . Pretty much like if you tried to join Horde and was like 'whos goblins'.. .. They might say 'oh hes a notorious guy in horde' .. same difference. Anyway, find your way in Eve you will enjoy it.
@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb First of all, really like your content, so please keep it up! :) Even if a lot of players go the "Grrr goons"-route, Brisc has been on the CSM for years and years, he has been organizing EVE-meets irl in the US for years as well as streaming/creating content for Eve "before it was cool" so i would say his statement from the clip is somewhat accurate in that regard. This ofc varies from person to person though. I will say that the Rampage Inc is more chill and relaxed compared to the "Meta show" that he also hosts. Srsli is a bit more of a niche/stretch, not everyone is into the whole "Parody songs of Eve Online", but personally i really enjoy the content.
@MA-uy7iu no, not at all. My corp left INIT back in 2019, so I'm not sure if he became leadership after that point. But he was just a director in one of the corps, only really knew of him cos he was our CSM candidate.
I'm in Brave so I know him as I watch Imperium News and the Rampage streams, which I really enjoy, but before that I had no idea he existed. But I'm mostly a hisec/lowsec player and we don't really care for the nullsec shenanigans, I didn't even know who Mitani was before all the controversy that came out about him prior to him leaving Goons.
From a causal player, this seems like a fine way to review groups. I have no experience with any null groups. I have seen many biased comments in the comments. Any way, I enjoy your videos.
I think perhaps you took this a bit the wrong way. Brisc has been on CSM a few times and is a very prominent member in his corp and in Goons. Think he was more miffed about people complaining about wait times when there is like hundreds of applications to review and it takes a significant amount of time to perform KF required background checks. Really tho, the wait times to get into KF varies. It’s not fair to put that as a negative point since the amount of background check goes very extensive. My first time took like 3 days, went afk for a year, took a week, went afk for 3 years, took 2 weeks. It’s just part of being in a nullsec alliance. Different world than lowsec and highsec.
im not active on eve anymore but i do know who Brisc is thanks to the ImperiumNews channel which i check out every now and then to see whats happening in eve..... probably the best Eve news channel there is

Goon here, I only know my corp mates and some allied and enemy regular pvp players and fcs... As a goon is easy to find some pvp content since most of the people that looks for pvp content comes to our regions...

He's just one of the more popular eve streamers on twitch. On youtube there are loads that are far more popular than he is.

Your post in the most stupid take on this so far, I think most people in null sec no matter what alliance they were in thought the Goon video was pretty poor compared to the previous ones. It was 15-20 minutes whining about recruitment and very little about interacting with goons or the wider Imperium. I mean for starters saying fleets are super serious.. when from my experience there's a lot of trolling and joking that goes on in Ops fleets. It came across as someone who didn't really do anything in the 4 weeks they were in it but needed to produce a video so filled it full of waffle.

Were all the US-TZ streams on the meta show, the fireside chats, his CSM campaign posts and videos, appearences on podcasts, and the relentless posting on r/Eve and the forums not enough?!!!! Obviously not. I can see that from within the Goon bubble it must seem weird that someone doesn't know him. But if you aren't interested in null-bloc politics and don't consume a lot of secondary Eve-media, it's very easy to miss a lot of people. Brisc Rubal included. The fact that brisc isn't known for his streams is one thing. but for someone that went full tenure on the CSM he should at least be known for. considering he did represent a good portion of the game. even if he was a goon.
Should he be more well known considering his tenure on the CSM? Maybe, but to what ends? Who cares if you know who X person is. But if were being honest here, most of the player base doesn't care that much. Even hyperactive eve players like myself are also in the dark about a lot of things beyond our home space. Other than the names on the CSM that I recognize because they come from my alliance, I dont know jack shit about any of the other representatives from high, low, and WH space. Hell, as many goons have pointed out here, there are many people within the imperium who don't know him either. It's more than easy to miss being exposed to his content depending on what kind of Eve content you choose to consume, if you consume any at all outside the game. I think brisc was trying to point that out. We're all kind of siloed in our own groups. Even though he's been on the CSM for multiple years, has a relatively popular following because of his prominence within the imperium, there's still a huge majority of the player base who aren't in nulsec that have no clue who he is and vice versa. There's not really a common figure that all players across new eden know and talk about. I think thats fine, Eve has always been about making your own story.
I love listening to The Meta show with Brisc, but he certaily is a little arrogant at times. Not everyone who plays the game is interested in the content creator side of things.
Same, I know Brisc from Meta show. The show gives me an overview of what's happening in EVE. Sure there is an Imperium point of view, so you need to adjust your perception a bit. But overall I like the show.

Fleet pressure or PAPs are pretty standard among all organizations. 4S is a veteran corp which would require more than a new player corp. Your saying the fleet requirements are to much. KF requirements are 3 in 90 days. Apps depend on the quality of the application for timeframes, thats standard even in PH. The fact that you played with goons for over a month, didn't get involved by your own admission and then give a review? saying corps do their own standing fleets...some do. Most people are hanging out in JU standing unless something changed (I stopped playing at the start of the test/goon war). Your review on goons is pretty disjointed and awkward. The fact that you aren't aware of different corp standards is very telling in this. You were given a free pass into an established corp to take a look around...and that corp probably rejects 90% of all applications if not higher. To be fair about Brisc though if you don't know who Brisc is then you have to wonder did you really try to enjoy your time in goons and integrate for however long your time was in there?

Too much content, while good, seems to be geared up as recruitment video's, however after a short hiatus I am going back in taking what I have learned, and going on my own path, partly inspired by your approach.
Indeed the whole solo PVP market, aimed at the 'newbro' market, focusing on setting up with a T1 frigate and looking at every aspect of PVP has struck a chord with me. There is a guy called Abbadon21 who has a YT channel called EveProGuides, who's content, while 'old', so in depth and sound, that if applied to todays meta, with your talent for a story telling arc, could really be a huge hit. He would certainly be worth reaching out to.

Brisc is a funny character. No need to take his words seriously. Half of what he is saying is a light hearted EvE Joke and he is fun to watch. He was in INIT. for a period of time and served on the CSM for a few terms. When INIT. decided to leave the Imperium, he joined goons.
Brisc was a very large part of INIT for years with being our "public figure". He would run our weekly podcats, news outlets, ect. He has since stepped back as a director in goons i believe.
This sounds like this is his ego talking from not being as recognized anymore. I always had super positive interactions with him in fleet and anywhere else.

I know Brisc and I think he felt he was being trolled. Most people know him because he's been hosting the Meta Show for years plus he was on the CSM until he got term limited. I too find it a little odd that as an Eve content creator you don't know who one of the most recognizable people in the game is. But honestly KF doesn't care if you know about Brisc or anyone else. Come and have some fun with us.
Yes, I also didn't understand why he gave me so much attention during a stream. There were some goon streams about me, and I only watched a few seconds of each because it didn't interest me. Thats a game only. Pay attention to your online time. Take breaks. Meet friends. What do I care about who is who in the CSM? Not at all.
I mean they do giveaway supers from time to time, so totaly worth keeping an eye on the stream. Also i am pretty sure in all of history the whole 'do you know who i am' bit never really works.
Brisc is ineed pretty well known, at least to those who follow nullsec politics, he was also a long standing member of CSM among other things.
He's also a pretty good tank at fleets since everybody wants to shoot him.

Never heard of the guy. He seems entitled and a bit arrogant/narcissistic. To be surprised that someone doesn't know who his majesty is made me laugh lol Calls himself a celebrity... I'm sure he is well known within his circle but to expect that everyone MUST know him who plays the game is a bit ridiculous.

I've been in Eve since 2009. Some on and off time there and there. Did tons of PVE and mining in highsec, mainly mission running. Sometimes ventured into lowsec time to time for a few lvl 5 missions. Then I decided to join Pandemic Horde, did tons of nullsec content with them. Also did tons of pve sites in nullsec. Then I give a break. Came back again. Chilling highsec pve again. The year is 2024 now. During all of these times I have never ever heard of this guy. None. Encountered countless other content creators countless times for solo pvp, fleet running and alike. But never heard of this guy. Do you know why? Simple: UA-cam algorithm simply haven't recommended his videos yet. But it recommended Ami's... Well, tough luck. Curse on algorithm , not to the people who haven't heard you! :)

Eve is a complex game that's been around for quite some times. You're trying to join one of the more established and organized groups in this MMORPG . Pretty much like if you tried to join Horde and was like 'whos goblins'.. .. They might say 'oh hes a notorious guy in horde' .. same difference.

Even if a lot of players go the "Grrr goons"-route, Brisc has been on the CSM for years and years, he has been organizing EVE-meets irl in the US for years as well as streaming/creating content for Eve "before it was cool" so i would say his statement from the clip is somewhat accurate in that regard. This ofc varies from person to person though. I will say that the Rampage Inc is more chill and relaxed compared to the "Meta show" that he also hosts.
Srsli is a bit more of a niche/stretch, not everyone is into the whole "Parody songs of Eve Online", but personally i really enjoy the content.

@MA-uy7iu no, not at all. My corp left INIT back in 2019, so I'm not sure if he became leadership after that point. But he was just a director in one of the corps, only really knew of him cos he was our CSM candidate.
I'm in Brave so I know him as I watch Imperium News and the Rampage streams, which I really enjoy, but before that I had no idea he existed. But I'm mostly a hisec/lowsec player and we don't really care for the nullsec shenanigans, I didn't even know who Mitani was before all the controversy that came out about him prior to him leaving Goons.
That being said, you as a streamer I think it wouldn't harm you to know who are the biggest EVE streamers and Brisc is one of them to be fair.

I think perhaps you took this a bit the wrong way. Brisc has been on CSM a few times and is a very prominent member in his corp and in Goons. Think he was more miffed about people complaining about wait times when there is like hundreds of applications to review and it takes a significant amount of time to perform KF required background checks.
Really tho, the wait times to get into KF varies. It’s not fair to put that as a negative point since the amount of background check goes very extensive. My first time took like 3 days, went afk for a year, took a week, went afk for 3 years, took 2 weeks. It’s just part of being in a nullsec alliance. Different world than lowsec and highsec.

Goon here, I only know my corp mates and some allied and enemy regular pvp players and fcs... As a goon is easy to find some pvp content since most of the people that looks for pvp content comes to our regions...

So TLDR is…Goons had opportunity to look good to new potential members who watch This is Ami content and instead now look like the most important issue is that This is Ami doesn’t know who Brisc is…..looks like Goons just missed an open goal to me…..again I stress please come and spend some time in Brave, I don’t believe any of our directors are as concerned with their celebrity status in the game.
I think the biggest issue is the lack of reading comprehension and the want to literally do anything. Yet speaks in absolutes when nothing was attempted.
Your post in the most stupid take on this so far, I think most people in null sec no matter what alliance they were in thought the Goon video was pretty poor compared to the previous ones. It was 15-20 minutes whining about recruitment and very little about interacting with goons or the wider Imperium. I mean for starters saying fleets are super serious.. when from my experience there's a lot of trolling and joking that goes on in Ops fleets. It came across as someone who didn't really do anything in the 4 weeks they were in it but needed to produce a video so filled it full of waffle.

I'm a former Imperium Member (Over 3 years of service), not as a base line Member but also as Corporation CEO and pretty interested into the eve 0.0 politics. I was in three different Imperium Alliances and i have no freaking idea who this guy called Brisc is. So you do not need to know him. From my perspective, no one in the Imperium cares a lot about some Goon CSM Guys or the CEO of a Corp like Karmafleet. The ppl who you know as a Imperium Member outside your own Corporation, are your Alliance CEO, some Members of the Sigs your active in and the FC's your flying with. And that it. :D This Brisc guy is just hot air and nothing else. Just a bad Egg every big coalition/alliance like the Imperium has in there basked.
The fact that brisc isn't known for his streams is one thing. but for someone that went full tenure on the CSM he should at least be known for. considering he did represent a good portion of the game. even if he was a goon.
Should he be more well known considering his tenure on the CSM? Maybe, but to what ends? Who cares if you know who X person is. But if were being honest here, most of the player base doesn't care that much. Even hyperactive eve players like myself are also in the dark about a lot of things beyond our home space. Other than the names on the CSM that I recognize because they come from my alliance, I dont know jack shit about any of the other representatives from high, low, and WH space. Hell, as many goons have pointed out here, there are many people within the imperium who don't know him either. It's more than easy to miss being exposed to his content depending on what kind of Eve content you choose to consume, if you consume any at all outside the game.
I think brisc was trying to point that out. We're all kind of siloed in our own groups. Even though he's been on the CSM for multiple years, has a relatively popular following because of his prominence within the imperium, there's still a huge majority of the player base who aren't in nulsec that have no clue who he is and vice versa. There's not really a common figure that all players across new eden know and talk about. I think thats fine, Eve has always been about making your own story.
I love listening to The Meta show with Brisc, but he certaily is a little arrogant at times. Not everyone who plays the game is interested in the content creator side of things.

Same, I know Brisc from Meta show. The show gives me an overview of what's happening in EVE. Sure there is an Imperium point of view, so you need to adjust your perception a bit. But overall I like the show.

"Eve Celebrity" makes me laugh. It's like being the most popular dog at a pony show. I play this game way too much and I don't know who SRSLI is either.
Fleet pressure or PAPs are pretty standard among all organizations. 4S is a veteran corp which would require more than a new player corp. Your saying the fleet requirements are to much. KF requirements are 3 in 90 days. Apps depend on the quality of the application for timeframes, thats standard even in PH. The fact that you played with goons for over a month, didn't get involved by your own admission and then give a review? saying corps do their own standing fleets...some do. Most people are hanging out in JU standing unless something changed (I stopped playing at the start of the test/goon war). Your review on goons is pretty disjointed and awkward. The fact that you aren't aware of different corp standards is very telling in this. You were given a free pass into an established corp to take a look around...and that corp probably rejects 90% of all applications if not higher. To be fair about Brisc though if you don't know who Brisc is then you have to wonder did you really try to enjoy your time in goons and integrate for however long your time was in there?
