@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb because at it's heyday, there was no counter to a uboat. hunting for it was a matter of rinse, lather, repeat - either solo or in pacts...
I used to play Eve back in '06 through '09. The game has changed in many ways since I was there. In many ways, nothing has changed. I love the fact that you think a "kill is a kill," and you don't take things personally, like many others that you have showcased. There were plenty of butthurt players back then as well.
I'm seriously considering coming back to Eve, because you can take the player out of Eve, but you can't take Eve out of the player.
I have been living vicariously through your videos, remembering when I played. You are a big part of me deciding to come back to Eve. Thank you for all of it. o7
I'm really happy to read that... I think EVE is always like an on-and-off relationship between the game and the players. It's complex and exciting, but if you don't find variety, it can get boring too. The game evolves quickly, and if you're out for even just 6 months, you will miss a lot...after 12 months you need to learn a lot and after (like you) 2009 you will nearly re - start as a noob / beginner..
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb Oh yes, I'm realizing that now. Wormholes, combat sites, none of that existed when I was playing. But solo pvp hasn't changed a lot. I'm realizing that from YOU. And doing the solo pvp/pirate thing is pretty damn close to the exact same thing as when I played. And when I get back in (I need to do a major upgrade on my computer) I'm most likely going to be back in low sec "ganking noobs" in belts and gates, and now I'm realizing that there are even more opportunities than when I was active! So again, thank you for what you're doing. It brings me back to my "happy place."
Garmur is a good, but expensive tackler. I love that ship too !

haha...the beginning is hard....The learning curve is brutal... lots of losses... pirates are everywhere in most systems... you really have to push through.
My Lachesis has been mothballed for years mostly because I wasn't satisfied with its fit for solo play (especially since I live in a wormhole). Definitely going to dust it off and give this a try!
ohhh yes...but for sure you need some additional npc dps or you need some time to brake the tanks...if you are rich use geckos

Garmur, Kikimora, and Orthrus can punch above their weight like no other, fantastic ships for the lone lowsec pirate to evade and blow up bait ships of MUCH larger groups without getting caught

It spools up to 570 DPS with mystic, which is kiting range. Or 800 DPS with occult, 928 dps heated. So u can break pretty strong tanks.

@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb Yeah, here it is. It ramps up to 570 DPS with mystic (38km range) or up to 800 DPS, 930 heated with occult (15km range). It can deal up to proteus-level DPS while staying out of scram range which is nutty. Anything you can't kill, you can disengage from.

With 2x skirmish bursts, it can go 2600 m/s and can't be scrammed. You can swap skirmish burst modules for high speed + high agility, or high speed + longer point range.

I love the lachesis. The scram range and damps make it virtually impossible to any solo target to hit back or run away. It's so dirty. Soloed a trashtalking Vedmak with it, he was burning after a Epithal. :)

Hey, nice video, I always enjoy them. I only flew Garmur twice. My first one had 60 killmarks. It's a crazy good ship that often gets people mad. Do you have any implants? I guess snake implants or nomad would work well.
yes snakes works well for sure....atm i use a enolution set. but snakes works much better...some dps imps will be nice to.

Wieder ein sehr klares & sauberes Video, ich persönlich mag die Garmur auch außerordentlich, darum habe ich damals gleich zwei von ihnen gekauft, als ''Trainings Geräte'' PS: mit z.b. einer Phantasm lassen sich auch sehr nette Kill's erzielen, vielleicht steht sie ja auch auf deiner Liste 😊
Phantasm bin ich noch nie geflogen, AB ist hier das Maß aller Dinge korrekt?
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb Ja, wie z.b. auch die Nightmare profitiert die Phantasm von dem AB Bonus, was sie dadurch recht unempfindlich gegenüber Scrams macht, dafür aber mit ausgezeichnetem Tracking belohnt. So lassen sich z. B. auch meist Drohnen anvisieren und gezielt ausschalten.

but the most important condition for becoming a successful low-sec pirate, i guess, is the presence of not very smart people there who are ready to give you their loot :)

true. You gotta make money and as a pirate, stealing and shooting is a huge part of it.... it includes unfair PvP fights with poor PvE players...its bad, but that's the way it is. the point is not to lose any ships, or at least loot way more than you lose, otherwise pirating it's just not worth it.

How do you find ratters in low sec? I can never seem to find anyone in low sec.
use d - scan for that or combat probes. check who´s in local and the try to find them
