THE GREEN MILE FIRST TIME WATCHING REACTION *THIS MOVIE DESTROYED ME!* ACTRESS REACTS
THE GREEN MILE MOVIE REACTION! FULL LENGTH REACTIONS, EARLY-ACCESS TO NEXT VIDEOS: www.patreon.com/callmeclariss I'M IN HEAVEN! Here is my first time watching this Frank Darabont, Stephen King adaptation the Green Mile starrting Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) walked the mile with a variety of cons. He had never encountered someone like John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), a massive black man convicted of brutally killing a pair of young sisters. Coffey had the size and strength to kill anyone, but not the demeanor. Beyond his simple, naive nature and a deathly fear of the dark, Coffey seemed to possess a prodigious, supernatural gift. Paul began to question whether Coffey was truly guilty of murdering the two girls.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your thinking but honestly my thought was that John got to the girls when they were long dead and there was nothing he could do. The lady isnt dead so he was still able to save her no problem

0:24:43 - 0:25:41 *Y-E-S!!!!* 😍 0:41:38 - 0:42:35 John couldn't help the girls because they were already dead when he found them. So if he manages to get to Melinda in time I don't see why he shouldn't be able to help her. The problem is...will he get there/get there in time? 0:55:52 - 0:55:58 YOU are an angel!!😭😭😭😭🤎🤎🤎🤎 What a perfect movie!💖 1:11:52 - 1:12:00 If you wanna laugh...(2 videos with crying face appear)😅💝

Clariss could please manage to show just a little bit of emotion in your reactions? 😉😉😉. I’ve seen literally dozens of other peoples reactions to this movie and this one is among the best ones. You didn’t quite know what you were getting into when it started did you? I knew this would stir up a lot of extreme emotions in you because like all the best reactors you are an empath. You feel the emotions of others. It written all over your face. I also like that you’re not afraid to use a little “blue” language here and there. I laughed when you screamed “punch him in the face!” as Brutus was clocking Percy with a right fist! I also could see that you’d forgotten all about the Fred Astaire clip and enjoyed that release of emotion when you heard the music. There’s an emotional part for me and that’s the scene where John is healing Melinda. When I first saw this it was not long after my mother had massed due to the stage 4 Parkinson’s she had that had affected most of her body. I had always wished she could have been magically healed and that scene gave me the visual of what that might be like. Please forgive my much too long message. Oh I’m sure someone else must’ve mentioned that there’s a little “hiccup” in this video where it jumps back about 3 minutes and we see the part that leads up to Percy being an asshole and tells Del that mouseville wasn’t real. Anyway I loved the reaction and I’m curious as to why it took so long for you to post it?

This movie was the first time I really felt what depression was, I didn´t want to see the sun for a damn week, it took a lot of me for several personal and old reasons. Then I understood many new things and I realized that a MOVIE had changed my way of seeing the world, I started acting different in some things I knew were wrong and I promised myself that if I ever faced a true miracle...I wouldn´t let anything happen to it, and I realized that miracle was already with me, in the form of my little sister :´)

I have seen the black and white movie over a hundred times in my life, but after seeing it in this movie, it has a different feeling to it. I feel for John Coffee even though he is a fictional character. Another time Michael Clark Duncan got me was at an awards show when he and John Lemmon were both up for an award, and I want to say it was the lifetime achievement award. Michael got the award but told everyone they made a mistake and told John Lemmon to come up and accept the award from him. A true gentleman and an honor to his craft. Every bit the embodiment of John Coffee. Rip Michael Duncan.

I think they kept the crimes for Arlen and Del was to keep them a sympathetic mystery to the audience? Arlen got into a drunken fight and killed a white guy, so being Native American in southern 30s US, he was given a harsh, unfair punishment of death. Del (if I remember the book) tried to cover up a theft with a fire that ended up burning down an apartment and killed 20-something people.

Clariss... First of all... thank you for my tears. I ball like a baby at this movie every time I see it and I've seen it at least 20 times. The empath you are makes me understand why I am the way I am. Now, to get to the theatrics of it all... So, Stephen King is on record for saying the the character of John Coffey is, indeed, a parallel to Jesus Christ. So let's get to the screen time parallels... 1) J.C. - the initials are the same 2) John was a middle aged man accused of something that he didn't do, but had to suffer the punishment for it, just like Jesus. 3) When Paul asked John if he wanted him to take him out of there and let him free, John asked "why would you ever do such a foolish thing?" because he understood his purpose. This is in direct correlation to Jesus hanging on the cross saying "not My will, but Your will be done." 4) As for the two thieves on the cross... we'll start with the easiest one, which is Wild Bill. Jesus was mocked by a thief on a cross condemned to die beside him and suffered a horrific death, just as Wild Bill did. The second thief, on the other hand, was a parallel to Del. Del was condemned to die for sins committed and got to a place where he understood why he deserved his punishment. Two things about Del - first, I think when Del said yes to handing off Mr. Jingles to John, that was correlation that the thief understood and knew who Jesus was and second, I believe when Del said "God have mercy on me" in that desperate, sincere tone, it also correlates to when he thief asks Jesus to remember him in paradise. 5) The obvious cuts of Mr. Jingles being raised from the dead, just like Lazarus. It's an incredibly written story with an amazing cast behind it. MCD, in my humble opinion, deserved an Oscar for his portrayal of the most beautiful "gentle giant" I've ever seen.

Thank you, Clariss. Masterpiece. Thank you, too, Stephen King. And to Frank and everyone else for the masterful adaptation. I've watched so many reactions to this favorite movie of mine (I've heard many say, why would I ever want to re-watch this). With your reaction, I feel I've finally come to an understanding. In these times, I wonder if this movie couldn't be used as a litmus test to determine the quality of a human based on the level of impact the story has on them and what they may say about it. I've done my share of stupid in this world. I've also worked really hard to course correct. I cry each time I see this. I, too, am empathic. There is just so much here, I can't see how someone can't at least identify with some situation or character in this story if they are striving to be decent in this life. If this were a litmus, I think you might quality as saint 🥲. May whatever powers bless and keep you on your continued journey. ❤

Watching this movie should be mandatory. No matter who you are, good, evil, neutral, empathetic, apathetic, young, old, sane, unstable, etc. This movie makes you have a perspective in life. It brings like you said, and like a lot of people including me say after watching this movie every single time, it brings you an appreciation for life, as well as the appreciation for death. It makes you feel as though no matter how bad life gets, no matter how hard it is. You should enjoy life, despite all of it. Enjoy the little things. Enjoy any amount of good in your life and dont take it for granted. Dont give up, dont make excuses. Go for your dreams and go for a better world and life than what you live, especially if youre someone like me who grew up with very little. At an early age i didnt understand everything in this movie, but i cried, and i loved it. Ive watched this movie at least once a year since i was 12. Im almost 21 now and i still hold this movie as possibly the only perfect film in existence. Its raw, it pulls no punches, and it feels so real, even with the "unrealistic" elements. I stand saying no matter who you are, if you watch this movie, and you dont cry, youre not human. I recently showed this movie to my little sister, whos 12 now. Since i saw it at her age i thought she should too. She wasnt paying attention all throughout, but she cried, several times. I regard her as being spoiled and a bit heartless at times, but even she knows how good this movie is, and she has the empathy for animals and humans to cry. This movie can really prove who is and isnt a psychopath potentially. But thats just a rambling. All in all if youve made it this far, i hope you have a delightful day, a wonderful week, a marvelous month, and an outstanding year. Because be it you be evil or not. You still deserve to be happy, and a chance to repent for your sins. We all have them. And we will all face judgement. Until then, love life, love people, and be happy with what you have, because theres always someone out there that has it worse, that has less, and that thinks they have it the worst. But even for them, theres someone thats got it worse and worse and worse. So appreciate the little things. Smile. Laugh. Have fun. Bless everyone who made it this far, and those with good hearts.

I remember going to the theatre to watch The Green Mile when it came out and I remember Percy being the character you loved to hate. I also remember that I hoped John Coffey would somehow survive the electrocution and wake up on the table. Most importantly I didn't realize the length of the movie, when I walked into the theatre it was still daylight outside but when I left it was dark out, that is when I figured out the movie was 3 hours long and I had sat in my seat the entire time.

Do you two watch each other's reactions after you've seen a movie the other has reacted to?

I only recently realized how I will always watch reactions to this movie, and Forrest Gump. And how both of those movies star Tom Hanks. The reactions never fail to leave me emotional and I love seeing people react to absolute masterpieces like this.

I'll be honest I've seen dozens of reactions to this movie, and yours was quite possibly the most emotional. Thank you for sharing it with us and showing how empathetic we should all be. 💖

I love this movie so much because in the first 30 seconds you hear greasy gross wild bill’s voice threaten the girls. Then for the next 2 hours we all try to guess if the giant colored man did it. It’s pretty funny once you get distance from how traumatizing this movie is lol

I read the books before I saw the movie so even though I knew what was going to happen it made me cry too.

Okay,I have explain the John Coffey allegory...John Coffey is basically Jesus Christ. If Jesus Christ came back to Earth,he would take a different form and still be persecuted. And oh...John Coffey/Jesus Christ...They have the same initials.

What a reaction. When someone makes me emotional about a movie I've seen a hundred times, I KNOW the reaction hit me hard. Hope you react to "Good Will Hunting" eventually.

This movie broke every person I know who has ever seen it. Whoever didn't cry watching it, isn't human.

the movie he was watching was Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers "Top Hat" from 1935, and the primary question posed by this movie is "if Jesus returned today, what would we do" answer? We kill him again, his initials werent JC by accident

I'm glad you came into my recommendations today, I have seen many a reactor react to this movie, one of my all-time favorites, and yours was a joy to watch. I am now subscribed. By the way, regarding John's fear of the dark, it's symbolic rather than literal. Despite his immense size and physical strength, John embodies childlike innocence and goodness. Darkness often symbolizes evil or negativity, which John is the complete opposite of. His fear of the dark can be interpreted as a fear of the evil and suffering that exists in the world, a burden he feels acutely due to his heightened empathy. I think that's why I relate so much to this film and his character, as I am neurodivergent, AKA ASD, and most of us are true. Natural empaths, not unlike our friend John. Cheers. ☮️🎬

46:28 Going to write this in Spanish because I can express it better, sorry: Hace años atrás mi mamá sufrió de cáncer, fue bastante agresivo y paso muchos años en tratamiento, está escena en particular me recuerda a esos años. Hoy está bien pero ella no puede ver esta película debido a que le recuerda mucho esa época. Gracias

I'm glad you saw the movie and let yourself feel everything. A great movie I think to reflect on humanity and life's mystery and gift. The old guard at the end reminded me of a quote from Master Kahn from the Kung Fu TV show, "The soul doesn't measure time, only growth". You are a beautiful and lovely lady.

I was in high school when I read this novel even before I saw the movie, and the movie was already out on DVD. I had a home room period that was just to keep up with home work, I chose mine to read. This was one of the novels I read. This was 2001 or 2. Some Percey's would see me reading a book and tearing up and make fun of me. I was called every name in the book. "Crybaby fag", rings out the most. I'm not even gay and I never thought much of it really. I was the secure one, they were the toxic males of that time. Did it piss me off? Yeah, but I wasn't going to allow them to make me feel like they wanted me to feel. Then when I saw the movie I was so happy that like Shawshank, it stayed almost 100% to the novel. And the performances? Top tier

Percy does a great job of coming off as a creep....mostly because he literally is a creep in irl. He groomed and married a 16 year old acting student he was teaching years ago
