Awesome work, only two things I’d have done differently; a smaller loop in the fuel lines and the plug wires over the line from the fuel pump. But that’s strictly a personal preference thing.

The shifter looks good but I hope the camera perspective is throwing me off. Because it looks like the knob is going to be almost behind the driver’s seat.

Couldn't help but notice on this video at least, you never showed the actual build. I wouldn't either. Directions are vague and not all the pieces fit. Front nose piece and hood, tires and wheels. I thought the two sides were a challenge and maybe it was not exactly lined up, off kilter, that created future problems from then on...sounds reasonable. I dont have a jig to make sure its square. Been modeling since 1960 and i really wanted to add this to my collection of racers but i was frustrated and disappointed. I have now switched to changing it to a wrecked car for a diorama. It will look better wrecked than together as a poor example of the build. I could have used better instructions..Dont take it personal i just dont think i wanna try any others of this series after this disappointment. But am really looking forward to turning this into a diorama.....Model on Dudes!

What kind od model cement do you use clay?

At model contests, there should always be special class for you and the people like you that puts that amount of detail into an already existing kit or make a model from scratch. Because the guy that doesn’t have these skills or the tools or the know how doesn’t have a chance against you. You’re allowed to come in and take all the awards while the guy in the corner who doesn’t know really much more than build a model out of the box and slap some paint on gets mad and doesn’t want to take his models anymore.

The large frame on chassis floor (between front and back assemblies) - what do you do if that piece is warped? The frontmost part of that piece is warped and doesn't fit flush against the bottom. I can get the 2 rear nubs to fit flush in their respective holes, but 1 of the 2 front nubs are then up in the air. I'm sure I'll be able to just crazy glue them into their holes ok, but I'm afraid what's going to be off because of this.

What did you use to thin the House of Kolor black paint for airbrush use? It looks like it goes on like glass. Subscribed and enjoy all of your videos.

JR Salvinos did a great job, proactively correcting a small quality problem ( plugged or broken ejector pins ) in the 3 mounting pins on the 2 rear wheel brake fairings ( parts #58 & 59 ) and a small omission on the decal sheet ( decal #42 ) the “Shell” logo for the rear wing is missing from the main decal sheet. Proactively mailing the corrected parts & missing decal demonstrates JR Salvinos approach to customer satisfaction - GREAT JOB JR Salvinos ! 👍😄

You do nice, clean, neat work man. And letting glue dry, during assembly is crucial. I rush my builds too much. I'll try letting glued up parts and assemblies dry completely during my builds from now on. Keep up the good work, and keep doing these modified builds.

I notice you don't scrap away any paint, before applying glue during assembly? I've always done that. I know your under time constraints with your online videos, so is scraping away paint from glue areas really necessary?

What glue difference is there using the toothpick vs the zap out of the bottle? Or is it just easier applying small dabs here n there? Great build Clay! Thank you

You know what’s impressive? At no point did you have to do extensive puttying, sanding, shaping, and scribing. No replacing “incorrect” parts with resin or 3D printed ones. No scratchbuilding suspension. Just a well-designed kit out of the box, an enjoyable experience.

Clay, are you able to glue the rear flip-ups/fenders to the sidepod before you insert the inner well that needs to be black and before you place the side pod on the undertray? If possible, when the time comes, I might like to smooth the seam between the side pod and those "fenders". Thanks.
