I'm really happy with Uraraka's resolution!! I was just talking to some of my female friends and we're just happy that she's the heroine she always wanted to be. It's not always that a crush develops into a relationship, sometimes a person inspires you and makes you better, like a friend. Falling in love was part of her arc, but not her goal like she always say!! It's always refreshing to see a female co-star who didn't just end up being the male lead's wife or something! The ending of My Hero Academia seems to undermine the message of "Anyone can be a hero." Deku, who was at the forefront of the war alongside Bakugo and Endeavor, is suddenly sidelined. His friends don't make much effort to find him, and when they do, it feels like they're buying back his friendship. The show seems to suggest that without a quirk, you're not worth much unless you have support from at least 5 heroes and funding from All Might to get a hero suit. Without all that, it seems impossible to become a hero. The ending makes me sympathize more with the villains and makes me wish for the downfall of hero society.

I got into my hero about a month and a half ago and read the whole manga and I thought the ending fit perfectly. It made sense he wouldn’t keep his quirk. He’s the greatest hero not the number 1 hero. Without deku the world wouldn’t be saved he did something no one else could, even all might couldn’t do it. I think people forgot the initial propose and story horikoshi was trying to tell. I think the leaks and incorrect translations really altered peoples perceptions of the final chapter. They went along with the wonky translation and didn’t wait for the official translation.

I feel like the ending was bad because he was still at the same point as he began the whole whole story could’ve been him learning from other heroes and inspired in the next generation and getting technology to help him become a hero. It’s just cruel and weird having his dreams put in front of them and the audience caring about his development and growth and being tossed away at the end.
