Good video. As someone who dropped HS dxd after 1 episode, I'm glad I did. Anyways, 2 things to touch on. 1. Anime is 99% of the time, made for Japanese audiances with a japanese mindset and culture first. Anything Christian is used for plot or an afterthought. You're not gonna find biblical accuracy in 'Gabriel Dropout'. 2. About using discernment. Use the tags, and do your due diligence when it comes to anime and manga. Ignore the Ecchi tag. Some anime may be better for some to handle, that others will find very degrading and harmful (to them). Just look into them with general research and stay away from ecchi/harem stuff. I would know, since I LIVED that stuff before I became a christian.
Great video as a Christian myself I’ve been uploading video reviews and trailer reactions. If there is a show or a movie, I am reviewing I make sure to let the viewer know if it is OK for children to watch, and in the future I might do similar content like this, but as for right now, I am focusing on reviews and reactions.
@@nicwithnok Yeah I’ve noticed there aren’t a whole Lotta traditional reviews anymore so I thought some good content to do would be some straightforward anime reviews for movies and TV shows
I know this is your video but you shouldn't lump all Christians into one category. There are over 200 Christian Denominations in the USA and supposedly 45,000 Christian Denominations globally. So in my opinion I think you 100% need to clarify which denominations with internet linked receipts are talking negatively about Japanese anime. Also, you say your a Christian yourself so I'm asking what denomination your belong to so us the viewers can better understand where your coming from? Myself born into a Catholic family then switing over to being a Baptists later on in my life I have never once heard anyone saying anything negative about Japanese anime because like all media out there it's lump into general entertainment which can be both sinful or not depending on your viewpoint. Just saying you need to clarify or this video is just a dud.
I didn’t specify my own denomination because it didn’t feel relevant to the overall message of the video. It’s also not something that’s specific to one denomination. The overall goal of the video was to talk about why Christians should watch anime, not attack the ones who deem it demonic (which is a totally different video imo), and this video achieved that goal.
I also recomend you Tokyo Ghoul (manga). Imo Ken Kaneki character is a modern Job character from Book of Job :)
as a mormon which is technically christian in a way (i think), i LOVEEE anime
Good video.

Two very good points, I try to steer clear of ecchi stuff myself

That’s awesome! Keep at it if that’s the content you’re passionate about!

I have not seen it yet 😬
@@nicwithnok Tokusatsu is a genre of Live Action shows and movies made in Japan dude
Like Godzilla
Okay, just watched this all the way through to the end. This is a reasonable take, I can understand what you're going for here.
And my channel is mainly around anime and video games
