Hold on to your seat this is a LONG comment, trust me it's worth your time The part where shadow tears up is beautiful, not because he's showing emotion but because i think its interpreted that he's finally allowing himself to grieve about Maria, because throughout shadow history he's always tried his hardest to not think about her because he thinks grieving about Maria (even in the ending of shadow 05 he tells himself that he needs to let go of her) he does this because he thinks thinking about Maria holds him back from his true potential, but this game shows us that shadow was wrong about that, holding maria in his heart is what truly makes shadow strong It's because of his care for maria that he was able to overcome black dooms darkness in the end, everytime maria comforts shadow in the game there is always light shining ON him, and near the end of the final boss fight shadow's body starts to glow bright, implying that marias light was now shining THROUGH him this time, and that's all because he was finally letting himself accept the past that he tried to constantly push away and that's honestly so beautiful, that's that kind of depth I love to see in sonic the hedgehog, some people think sonic stories being edgy, cool, and overall serious is what makes the stories so good, but that's wrong, it's the characterization, depth, and world building that we love to see, and in my opinion this game perfects it, which is why I'm so excited to see where this franchise goes next.

I always had trouble with how they handled Shadow on his stories, both in SA2 and ShTH. With the "serious" moments having the subtlety of a brick and made silly because of the funny cartoon animal having a gun. Not to mention the outlandish plots he is involved... Etc. But the story in this game and particularly THIS scene, is executed beautifully. The seriousness is still there without getting too overbearing, having some little moments of levity to balance the tone which makes it flow much more naturally compared to its predecessors. This also helps making the emotional moments hit harder. And basically making Shadow accept his history as a part of him. I'm glad my Shadow finally has his beautiful and well written story. Kudos to Ian Flynn!!!

Sonic games before The Sonic Renaissance era started by Frontiers were Sonic facing badniks, eggman, robots, monsters, the government, aliens, demons, and even gods. Sonic games Frontiers onwards, all of those things are forced to face Sonic. In Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 Shadow is forced to face his past and Black Doom. In Shadow Generations, Shadows Past and Black Doom are forced to face Shadow.

Completely off topic but I used to use WinRAR when I was in the DMC 5 modding community and I found WinRAR to be a bit of a pain in the ass to use half the time. I do think 7Zip is the better option cause 1. its actually free and doesn't try to shove a license to use down your throat (I know its still usable without the license but its still a bitch to have to close the prompt every time you open it.) And 2, It's generally a much quicker and straight forward process to use than WinRAR. Tutorial helped a bunch, I just think 7Zip is better and more efficient than WinRAR!

guys i think i found the problem to why it may not be showing up if the mod doesn't open up to where the fighters ui sounds and stuff bit is, but theres another folder, click into that, if it has it then go back out and move it to the mods if not keep going through folders until you reach it and then move it. hope this helps

I do find it surprising how many people had issues with the pacing. I mean, I agree the pacing is slow, but in my playthrough it just wasn't something I was paying attention to, it didn't bother me at all and I was simply just having a fun time. It's easily the most fun I had playing Mario & Luigi.

Where are my bean spots Why did they kill the damage/defense formula... it feels as if they took TERRARIA's defense formula instead of the old M&L games. I WANT TO 9999 A SEEDLE NINTENDO Slightly more spoilery stuff below. More bosses need their own theme. The final boss has one, but all of the other bosses use one of two themes at random. Exploration is less rewarding when all the spark dudes are on the map, giving less reason to search for hidden stuff. Hammer rally is the worst addition in the game by far... Bring back the infinite bros move gauntlets NO BOSS GUANTLET OR SECRET BOSS!??! I WANTED TO FIGHT SEPHRIOTH!!!! Feels like there is only a little bit of enemy diversity... Sure there are some cool ones, but half of em feel like they're just there instead of that they fit the island they're on.

for the hammer, there's a solid amount of time before you get it in superstar saga or partners in time

find a way to integrate mushroom kingdom more with concordians make bosses look more appealing make final boss more intimidating do more with boat (zelda spirit tracks vehicle) fix luigi ai and b button load screens need to be shortened specials need to be shorter enemy mechanics need to be shorter

Finally finished this game today. Man I cried at this ending, definitely a very sad finale for a sonic game. So glad that shadow can finally have some closure with his past and got his final goodbye with Maria and Gerald

the pacing is shocking. the first couple hours absolutely DRAGS on! once peach and bowser show up it gets a better but hard to ignore that slow opening
