For those who did everything in the tutorial and it still crashes on startup, try updating the game to the latest version (13.0.2) everything didn't work with the mods enabled until I tried using an updated version of the game. Hope this helps!
This worked for me (mostly). The only issue so far is that the game freezes when i try to stop the emulation, but that's minor. If your game is crashing or not working otherwise, make sure your emulation is on version 13.0.2 (i don't know if the newer one works or not)

Had someone here ask me to help with piracy. I refuse to help with that. Anyone who is having issues, it's because you've done something incorrectly. So let me list a few things here and this will probably help you. 1. Are you on Smash ver 13.0.2? If you're not you need to be otherwise this won't work. 2. Do you have Switch firmware installed to Ryujinx? Ryujinx requires that to run properly. Just get 18.0.0 the latest switch firmware. You can dump it from your own switch, or get by other means, which I will not tell you how to for obvious reasons. 3. Do you have your controller configured? If not sometimes Ryujinx crashes if you don't have that configured beforehand. 4. Do you have mods for any other games installed on Ryujinx? If you do I'd try removing them just incase, sometimes they can cause issues, but very rarely, but worth a try. So with that said, these should be the only factors as to why it's not working for you, unless you're installing a mod that requires more than what I've provided in the sd.rar file, then its your job to find out what that mod requires and install them yourself.

guys i think i found the problem to why it may not be showing up if the mod doesn't open up to where the fighters ui sounds and stuff bit is, but theres another folder, click into that, if it has it then go back out and move it to the mods if not keep going through folders until you reach it and then move it. hope this helps
It just isn't working for me. I have 18.0 firmware, smash 13.0.2, and Ryujinx 1.1.1330, and when i do as the video instructs, it gets stuck on an endless "loading smash Bros ultimate" screen. It isn't *frozen* but it never goes past the loading phase. I am on Linux, specially steam deck, so maybe that changes things?
Is it normal to need to task kill Ryujinx whenever I want to stop the game? Trying to close it normally or stopping emulaton just causes it to stop responding.
@AwesomeDr111 Ryujinx can be a bit iffy sometimes. I've had to do that before multiple times. If it happens, just keep doing what you're doing with task killing it. You could try asking in the Ryujinx discord server if it bothers you at all. But idk of any fix for that. Sorry.
mod works great, but when trying to quit ryujinx by going to file and exit. It hangs and the console show two errors. "HLE.OsThread.7 SurfaceFlinger DequeueBuffer: No available buffer slots" and "HLE.OsThread.7 SurfaceFlinger OnTransact: Error returned by transaction DequeueBuffer: Busy". I have to manually close the console to close the emulator. Any idea what it could be? Thanks

For me it's straight up not working. Ryujinx came with these already installed but when I try to put the skin mod I want into the mods folder everything is the same.
I followed the tutorial and everything works fine when it comes to singleplayer. But when I try to create a local wireless match with Ryujinx LDN I get stuck on a loading screen forever. This doesn't happen without the modded firmware, and I can't find anyone having the same problem. If anyone has the same problem / finds a fix for it lmk.

because you're obviously doing something wrong. I just helped someone else a few mins ago and wiped my Ryujinx clean and redid everything following my own tutorial and it works fine. So it's something on your end that you've done incorrectly. Are you on Smash ver 13.0.2? Do you have the latest switch firmware installed to ryujinx? What mods are you using?

Hi great vid but I got a slight issue, I did all the file stuff that you said, and I extracted my mod and place it into the mod folder but my game keeps crashing without even fully starting up. When I manage mods in ryujinx there is this mod that is in there named 01006A800016E000, when it is enabled the game crashes, but when its disabled the game works but with no mods. I'm a little stumped can anyone help? I also cannot delete that file that is in the mods management tab, it physically doesn't let me
@@DonOSC do everything in this video, but also make sure all your ryujinx files (firmware, prod keys, and games) are updated to the newest update. I also used emudeck to install ryujinx if that helps

the moveset mod you're trying to install has additional requirements that are needed for it to work, check the gamebanana page again for the mod and download the required plugins for it.
Quick question : is it possible to add a new modded character on ryujinx ? (for example the custom moveset alucard) If yes, do you think you could provide a tutorial about it ?
you would do the same thing. the only difference would be that you need install the extra dependencies (skyline plugins) but they are included in the alucard mod. as well as a readme
You have to obtain the game yourself it doesn't come with Ryujinx. If you've already done that. Whatever folder your games directory is add that to Ryujinx.

@KhalilHarris-r9w pretty sure you can't emulate switch on Xbox One lmfao and 2nd of all I don't use iPhone or any apple products so I can't show it on iOS and even so I'm pretty sure mods don't work on the mobile version of ryujinx and it's probably not even worth your time either even if it does it's bound to be pretty stuttery.
I'm on the 13.0.2 update, Firmware is updated to 18.0.0, I only have smash so there isnt any mods for any other game, I put the mods exactly where the video said to put them, I enabled them in the Manage Mods area, and when I try to see if the modded skins are there it still shows the original smash skins. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Just does’t work even if you have everything the exact same, won’t load the game.
Whenever I enable a mod, the game loads the shaders but then infinitely loads the game. It works when I disable the mod.

Sounds like you disabled them because you don't need to enable them the first time. They're enabled by default.
