I was quite shocked by the news when I first heard the rumors. Upon seeing the Equestria Girls series get announced, I had mixed feelings about that. But in the end, neither of these new elements in the show were so bad after all.

It might look dumb, but i noticed that everyone remember about AJ only when it comes to her elemental harmony like: -AJ is never lying! -ohh did you know the AJ? She's never lying!! -You're supposed to be the elemental of honesty, AJ, not the.. And etc. i mean it's not her whole character. We can see how other ponies living out of their elrments, they have their characters and lifes, meanwhile AJ...is just honesty. Actually it's sad, episodes with her always heartwarming for me:(

As an artist, I'm glad you brought up the color palette. Applejack's color clashes a lot with the other main character's color. If you look at her beside only one or two characters, she looks fine - like, her color scheme contrasts with rainbow dash, but that's okay, because there's only two ponies and no pattern for comparison. But in the middle of all five... She stands out because of the bright orange and yellow in the middle of more purple/pink/pastel colors. Maybe that's why they decided to leave her out of a lot of the merchandise, like the pink pattern stuff.

As somebody who isn’t a huge fan of AJ, I empathize for applejack fan’s feeling left out,😢 however I do have confidential evidence against the color, orange theory not being appealing to children specifically little girls if anyone remembers way back then in the 80s applejack was always orange. and they didn’t have any problem with marketing her towards little girls then, so that can’t be the solution simply put it. Hasbro never liked their own character to begin with so they ostracized her out of the group on purpose. Now you could say it was her personality flaw that might alluded to that 🤔but the only flaws I can see with AJ is that she’s unapologetic bossy to her friends. for no reason, and that might’ve stirred some little girls away from her character but other than that, this just feels like disrespect to fans who like her and to Lauren false, who made her it blows my mind to think me growing up as a kid getting MLP merch I’ve never noticed that AJ was always mysteriously missing the majority of the time 😮but in fact, it is true that AJ is the best background pony ever! and nobody she’ll ever forget her 🍎

Rarity will also get the same treatment at times, obviously not as much but it does happen and you can see that in some of those example images as well, I even have a backpack that has applejack but no rarity. Its prob all about character popularity, many forget about applejack I know rarity wasnt as popular either bc ik others who didnt like her attitude and drama so thats prob a reason as well. Im genuinely so mad cosmos doesn't exist he seems so cool. I completely understand why, it is a kid's movie. But oml we lost a baddie. The first design ah! Maybe the metal wings were made because unlike his sisters, he never earned the title of alicorn. Since we now have the information the only born alicorn is flurry heart. It would be a great plot as too why he was so power hungry in the first place. he constantly felt inferior too them. Once he met twilight, he would be enraged, how could some random unicorn who worked for his sister be more deserving than him? When he was defeated maybe he'd realize he was never deserving of that power in the first place. Or maybe Celestia and Luna would step in, revealing his identity. Luna would take the lead, explaining what happened after he left. How nightmare moon took over her life. How even after everything, her sister forgave her. And the landscapes were to die for! I get why they went for a simpler route, but making the movie darker would've been amazing to see! The main 6 are so bright, I would've preferred to see them in darker environments.
