❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great interview with powerful information and insights from the great film maker
Great presentation, thanks, and it shows that the so-called minorities have great value within society
Wow❤congratulations
Mashallah, what an enlightening interview. the enemy is ignorance, its accepting the othering of the ignorant or isolating ourselves from the national ground. there is a national crisis of amnesia not just the marginalization of so called minorities.

The Banadir Factor love you guys, proud to have you guys as my brothers, ethnic Arab(Omani and Yemeni parents) born in Barawe and proud ❤❤❤❤❤❤
wonderfull, my role model, Director Abdulkadir 'Bufalow'
Are Benadiris Somali? I always hear them speak languages other than Somali
Im Darod and I agree the 4.5 system is ridiculous. There should be no tribalism in law, and we should have a proper democracy with rule of law. That being said, I do wonder about Barawani people. The ones I've met growing up in the UK tend to flip-flop between claiming Somali and reject it and claim to be Yemeni. That alongside the fact they stick to themselves made it pretty clear to me that they don't really want to be Somali.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This really helped me for my school project, I’m glad that I chose Dada Masiti as my figure. In this project I had to come up with a way to commemorate Dada Masiti and chose a location (I choose a mural). My question for you is how would you commemorate her and where? Thank you again! :)
@@natalierios9010 You're very welcome! I'm so glad to hear that we could help with your project and that you chose Dada Masiti-an incredible figure of Banadiri literature and spirituality-to focus on. Your idea of a mural is fantastic because it's a powerful celebrate her legacy. If I were to commemorate Dada Masiti, I’d create a poetry garden in her honor. The poetry garden, could be in her hometown barawa where she lived, it would be a peaceful space with her verses engraved on stones, surrounded by native plants. This idea celebrate her as a poet and spiritual leader while offering spaces for learning and reflection. What inspired your idea of a mural, and where did you imagine it? 😊
@@thebanadirfactor306I love that idea, such a beautiful concept! I was also thinking of locating the mural somewhere in her hometown. I decided on a mural because of the fact that poetry is a form of art itself. Also I think that murals tend to catch people’s attention. On the mural I would put a sample of her writing from Ya Rabbi Ya Muta’ali. This is because it tells part of her story and shows what she’s gone through. - Much appreciated!
Ma sha Allah it's really appreciated effort 👌
Thank you for another amazing video ❤

Bugleey, I remember we liked it, we used to play around dusk time efter maghrib prayers, run to avoid getting hit with the ball. Thanks for sharing. old memories. Peace and love dear brothers and sisters.
Good initiative
Very interesting i see how a part of my family has links to these regions. People from the Red Sea always think i am from those countries on Arab or African side. I talk some South Yemeni, Eritreans, Sudanese and some Somali.
Salamu Alaikum brother. Hope you are well. Are you able to a episode on the Darood clan. Some say their father Jabarti Meheri was carab. Really appreciate it if light could be shed on this. Jazaku Allâhu khair.

Who was the Governor at the time? Emperor Ajoran?
I hope her book will encourage Banaadiri girls to write books. Their precious voice is still missing in our literature.
I do agree. It does have a healing Process. WRITTING helps one's Memory & Self_healing as well🙏👏👍
All the fuck over fucking Africa is the same fucking backward, selfish mentality. Self destructive tendencies. And white folk know this, and encourage it. It works everytime.
Who was your father?

Shariin I enjoyed your story God bless you dear sister.xxx ❤

am glad that i made the connection for u , Shiriin is so humble and kind, She is well articulated person and great storyteller. well done The the Benadir Factor.
Every where racism is like a household name.
It means foreigners should own your country.
She might be an Italian jew like Meyer who owned "Croce del Sud" in Mogadisho.
Odd assumption. She said her father is of Pakistani origin. The Pakistanis in Benadir were new commers, and they were mainly Shia, I went to school here with a Pakistani whose Shia father was born in Benadir.
: My sister, I truly enjoyed listening to your story-it had a profound impact on me. Having spent the past 24 years in the USA, I can relate deeply, but Alhamdulillah, I returned home last year. It’s been a blessing to revisit places from my childhood, like the soccer fields where I used to play, and to see neighbors and homes that are still intact. It’s truly touching. InshaAllah, I hope one day you too will come back home. Remember, you miss home, and home misses you too. May Allah bless you and the brother hosting the show; it’s wonderful to hear stories like hers.
Thank you Shirin and Abdirahman for this

Good video. Although I would like to see actual Benaadiri representatives for a change, these videos about history are very beneficial and should be continued. But as important is solutions or ideas for solutions, and characters like Shariif Abubakar Yaawaalidi for example recently addressed that in his interview. If it is possible I think you should do an interview with him. He is a very important Benaadiri figure.
Thank you to both of you. Shiriin I am so proud of you. Keep the good work ❤
