For those who wanna help keep the channel going; just $5 a month, and you can see all my videos as soon as I finish them before they go public on UA-cam.
Most of these videos will go up on youtube within 1- 2 months. So, if you can't afford it, just subscribe and hit the bell notification, and you can still see the videos when they go public.
As always, thanks for watching.
After over 4 years on yourtube, I'm changing the channel away from "Kairyu Rider" to "Dragonite Moto JP". I'm also focusing the direction of the channel. My work life in Japan, from unpaid over time, benefits, stolen wages and more, has lead me to this point of going full time on youtube to hopefully have a real future that is happy and not so dehumanizing. I hope you all will continue to support the channel and be a part of what's to come.

Yamaha just updated the 2025 Tenere 700. New tc and Power Modes. But with traction control, it's a ride by wire, not cable. Is that good or bad for you? I like it, but no cruise control or automatic Y-AMT even as an option is pretty sad. We will see the rally but not world raid. I personally don't mind as most Yamaha's don't sell in Japan. But what do you think? Ruined? Fixed? Or too little too...

Hi .. you're doing a great job on this channel.. for my taste ..to grow it would be nice to integrate some ,, how to ..service,take care and repair videos..seems you should have already skills working as a motorcycle mechanic ..alongside with some short touring videos..kind of what's nice to see for most of people.. some touristic views.. otherwise i hope will be a successful idea:) if money comes there's a big world to show from a 2 wheel view.. good luck on going further your way!
Happy holidays and new years dude. Glad the algorithm brought me here a couple months ago
man,focus to your family,ride for fun here and there,and f@ck youtube.merry christmass
Come home , my wayward son. Central Missouri has an open job /career path for the skilled and less than... and the ozark areas are amazing for dual sport tracks.
I'll go a step further and say, IMHO - and I know many will disagree, but that's ok - tail tidies are a waste of time and money.
The original tail looks 100% better.
Bro I love your content. I’m definitely going to stick around for your future content. Maybe include more living in Japan content and riding the Transalp around your area. Give us more personal moto vlog. I’m here to stay. All the best.
Came across your channel when I was looking at sv650 reviews. Stayed for the personality
What do I think- just buy a bike that you like and DONT knock bikes you dont like.Prrick
I started watching because of the Transalp because I have been thinking of getting one.
Why? Well, honesty, unique insights, to the point, attitude, transalp (got a cb500x now). Best of luck!
Merry Christmas! I'm watching because I was considering the transalp but too heavy when off-road. Keen to see (1) your realistic weight reductions of the transalp and (2) Japanese dual-sport rides, ideally on the DR-Z4S as the new BMW 450 will be too expensive.
@@andrew390 we will see, I have lots of videos up on patreon, but they will be coming out soon
Keeping the comments coming, I'm for the adventures in far off places. DRZ with a sumo and DS setup is looking really attractive for a one bike does it all!
@@marchofthecontraption8060 my hear says supermotois that way, plus 19in front for moderate dirt
I just like seeing people do stuff on bikes. I'll never buy a TA but I like them and the algorithm showed me your video about why tail tidys suck. Was interesting to hear some experiences of living in Japan since I think about selling all my shit and leaving Canada all the time.
@@jetmuchacho I have a playlist on my life in Japan Glad you found me
I had a vfr1200x that was very “lemony”… the rear differential locking up on me while driving down the highway was the final straw. The transalp was the one Honda that was bringing me back.
That doesn't sound ideal. Shaft drive is convenient, but chains are easy Not many people having these issues, just my luck😅
The transalp, vstrom 800de, and tenere are on my dream sheet for the coming year. I’ll be enjoying my vstrom 650 in the meantime. Love your TA content
Loved my vstrom 650. But broke from previous owner doing more maintenance All 3 are good bikes for the right rider
I’m watching your vids since you bought transalp and I’m very happy that you are more into off road. I wish you all best man! Keep up!:)
the only reason I wanna install a fender eliminator on my t7 is tolls, I refuse to pay tolls in the city, that's why I still have my mt07... and the windbuffeting, I haven't found a way to get rid of the windbuffeting on my t7.
I took my windscreen off. More air coming at me but no buffetting
Came across your channel looking for Transalp stuff and just liked your attitude and style of video. I really like the hands on view of tinkering and fixing stuff. That's why I follow others like M539 Restorations or Andrew Camarata.
Thank you, and happy holidays. Just dropped the bike on the street 2 days ago Lots of hands on from there

Originally came for the transalp stuff, but mostly happy just to watch general bike content. Not interested in luggage or clothing etc, just bikes and riding in general, any bike(s).
Why do you focus so much on the off road DRZ when they also make a Supermoto model? Maybe that's better suited for you. I want to buy the new Suzuki Supermoto if it isn't as expensive as I've heard it will be.... I came for you 😁😁😂😂because I had also nitpicks with my Tracer 900 and wanted to know other opinions so that's the first video I watched from you. Now I just come back occasionally to see what's up. lul Merry Christmas or Konichiwa or what they say in Japan. 😂😂🤗🤗
Japan says merry Christmas in a Japanese accent😅 I like the idea of the super moto. But if I'm sticking to the street I'd probably just put a 19 on this bike
@@DragoniteMotoJP Put 17 incher on my Tenere. Awesome Supermoto now... 😁😁😂😂
I stumbled on your your channel looking for reviews trying to decide between the Transalp and the Norden. Ended up buying the Husky. Subscribed 'cause I like your opinion and like watching the Japanese landscapes. Keep it up
Started watching bc I own a Transalp and enjoy hearing your insight with the experience you have in the industry. Ive visited Japan several times also and am interested in the nuanced details of life for long term residents like yourself. Excited to see the upcoming content.
Merry Christmas to you and your family and wishing you much success in 2025!! I started watching your videos because I was researching the Transalp. Since then I bought one and have continued to watch you videos because of the modifications that you do to yours. I find it interesting to see how you do it and your follow up videos showing if it worked. Your honesty is refreshing. I also find it interesting when you talk about life in Japan and about it's culture. Keep up the great work! I will be watching.
Thank you Plenty in both categories to come
Keep up the good work, I love watching your content. One of the few genuine youtubers 👍🏻
Thank you I try😅
I really like your videos because I feel your genuine opinion on the things you talk about. I started with your videos on the SV650 and stayed for your personality. Thank you sir. Greetings from Italy, and I wish you the best of luck with everything!
Thank you.
How is the development of your subscribers? How long did it take to get to double your subscriptions? I mean in the beginning it's probably really diffcult but if you keep producing videos then eventually you will benefit. I'm not really interested in Japan nor the Honda Transalp. I stumbled upon your channel because of your SV650 video. And I eventually subscribed because of your voice. You're easy listening which is key. So good luck to you and merry christmas.
Thank you My wife thinks about another sv some day. 1.5 year to first 1k subscribe 1.25 more years to 2k. I'm nearly at 3k, that's just over 6 months. It does speed up
Bro, you are in a place inaccessible to most people, please show us the God damn monkeys =D..... no...for real... show us the monkeys, I wanna see monkeys, sightseeing and places to eat stuff, show us the places with unique stuff, the culture, oh oh and the monkeys....the transalp brought me here, and yes talking about a lot of motorcycles would be awesome, just reviewing every single japanese motorcycle is amazing..... but for real the monkeys made me stay... i will watch and like every single video I like the content... but MOAR MONKEYS....
The Transalp 750 is still a better bike than the T-7, we have them both and on and off road the Honda Transalp 750 is the bike I chose cause it’s more comfortable on the road and more flickable off road, and my weight I had to change the rear shock anyway on either bike so when I put on a TracTive rear shock and dialed in the front it’s better than most other middle weight bikes and as good suspension wise as the KTM 890 Adventure R, and I only chose the 890 over the Transalp for it’s punch in the power factor, but I will say for long distance the Transalp 750 is even up there where no other bike in its weight class can beat. Oh and I think your channel is awesome and keep safe.
Thank you. Yes, i thins suspension is really the only heel on my bike now
Wow. I always assumed Japan was a more expensive country than Germany. But 1000$ getting you through a month does not sound that bad. Good luck to you. Regarding the subscription. Well there is not much motorcycling content in Englisch coming out of Japan and you seem like a nice fella. The video about dropping weight from the Transalp is a great idea. I hate heavy motorcycles and lowering it down to 190 kg from 208 kg sounds crazy. I'm very curious about how you want to achieve that. So I am looking forward to that video.
Thanks you, yes Japan is cheap. I'm getting close to 200 already right now.
I live in the the US and spending Christmas here in Japan with my family. Personally I’m interested in motorcycle gear reviews and where to buy them in Japan. I went to Naps Adachi/Up garage in Tokyo. Bought myself some Tai Chi gear. Maybe some of your audience who are planning to visit Japan will be interested in this as well. Also can you tell us if there are places they allow foreigners to rent motorcycles and how much it would cost.
Honda go bike. Some yamaha ysp dealers. If you have an international license and legal helmet, any rental place. I know a Ducati rental in Yokohama that caters to foreigners. But I don't know the name
100% bullshit.
I don't understand the tail tidy trend. You're paying money to take a functional part off the bike...and it's one you can't even see when riding?
Some like the look, or the small weight savings. But my friend rocket his oem fender the other day. This cheap tail tidy is disposable, I can keep oem for inspection or re-sale
Pretty brave riding on the tractionators in the rain with the leaves. I didn't like them on the street, too slippy everywhere, even just when downshifting. I tried a dunlop trailmax missionn, that was worse in the rain. The only tire I've ever had that would kick sideways on asphault patches at 130km/h in corners with my loaded T7. Free-spin when you twist the throttle to pass cars lol. It's not like the T7 is a torque monster. Maybe they're good in hot countries? Try a set of shinko E805/804 if you can come across them. Or the Pirelli scorpion rally STR, they feel almost identical but 2% better in the twisties, 5% less offroad, much more expensive. Both can be ridden to the edge. That's my take on em anyway. TKC 80s approach dirtbike level traction off-road but they only last 20 minutes. I'm not sure you could push them in the twisties since I was a beginner on the street when I last ran those tires. Probably not, because they're noticeably softer to the touch and would squirm a lot I imagine. Sick riding in Japan. I always wonder how people end up living there, you know, from NA or EU. The trans alp looks significantly faster than the T7, sounds great too. Have fun.
Thanks, ya these are not great road tires. Hit black ice at 80kmh 2 days ago. I'm fine, but but needs work. Looking at tkc70 rocks maybe next
@@DragoniteMotoJP Oh boy, that's never fun, shit happens so fast. The ego will recover, and I hope the bike doesn't need much. 👍
@jetmuchacho I'm fine. Video coming, parts in the mail
I've been jumping from the OEM license plate holder to the tail tidy i have currently, and for the last year, i've accepted the tail tidy and all the dirt and mud that comes flying to my back/helmet, seat and all over the bike... i just wash the bike more often and changed the jacket from the tricolor Alpinestar Honda one i had from the Africa Twin to the black Andes V3 one... lolol all that beeing "said", you are right, it's not functional, just looks better and removes a little weight from the bike! Have a great christmas and ride safe!
Thanks you. I'm reconsidering the tail tide after hating my friend crack his oem in half😅
@@DragoniteMotoJP that might be an expensive "crack"... i cracked the rear part of the front fender and i paid 136€ just for that... lolol stoped using the fender extender with these tires in that precise moment! 😂
The same reason many of us will never buy a Transalp. Just doesnt comed close to the tenere in other areas. Top heavy, you must have never ridden any adv bike over 1000cc
@@ShaftDrive africa twin was close, 1250gs was nowhere near as top heavy at the t7
you do not need cruise control on offroad!
@@Shadyarva what's your point? this is an adv touring bike, not a Duelsport...
@KairyuRider it is more oriented on dirt.
@Shadyarva it's a touring back made dirt capable. If you not riding long distance to the dirt, don't buy this at all. Get a duelsport. This only makes sense over a duelsport dor long distances between you and the dirt.
@@DragoniteMotoJP no. Its a dirt bike/enduro make to take long distances! Looks like an enduro, ride like an enduro, suspension like an enduro only more heavy, durable.
