I love the entire “final cut” album it’s got every emotion you can think of in it.
Ive always said this - no matter the mood you are in - there is a Pink Floyd song to match it.
Such a killer song such a killer album!!

You need to look into their catalogue a bit more. There’s a lot more than two albums. The two you mention aren’t even their best although they are still magnificent

Roger Waters is a musical genius
The entire The Final Cut is fantastic. There is a big story about The Final Cut is interesting and I just give you some of what I’ve picked up. The album is on many ways Roger Waters’ first solo album. He had kicked out Richard Wright here and Gilmour just came in and laid some guitar on the album. (Pink Floyd without Roger Waters did never play a song from this album live).
For the album The Wall Rogers Waters presented the other team members with two ideas, The Wall and what later became Roger Waters’ first real solo album, The Pro’s and Con’s of hitchhiking. Some songs did not hit the members liking and were left out of the album The Wall, there of them I think, and Rogers Waters included them here. David Gilmour was unhappy with that division saying if they did not made the cut for The Wall why do they make the cut now?
The album is a concept album like most of Waters album and again in my view absolutely great
not a great song to get a taste of this album, although it is a great song, you should try either the final cut or the gunners dream
The song is about the movie "The Wall: , Roger Waters hated the movie.
I don't really care for the movie either, very average and quite disjointed.
