"And hold on to the DREEEEAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!"
Enjoying your PF journey, my friend. Keep it up!
Try Granchester Meadows live from An Hour With Pink Floyd KQED. David and Roger with acoustic guitars. David sings like an angel, and Roger's low monolog vocals complement and highlight this effect. Richard comes in at the end to round it all out. Beautiful.

I heard this first when i was 18, I'm 53 now. Every time the lyric "between the heavens and the corner of some foreign field" hits I still get a tear in my eye. My Grandad was captured in June/July 1940 and did 5 years in Stalag 8b. He was on both death marches. I know part of him never came home. He's turning in his grave to see what became of the post war dream.

Roger Waters's father was killed in the battle of Anzio in World War II, this album was the point of his life where he was bearing his soul about the loss of his father in both real life and through the character Pink, the raw emotion is palpable.

@@LilmannReactsThere's a film on UA-cam where Roger finds the actual place his dad died. It was a few months after Anzio, but still in Italy Not that it makes any difference to this song. When The Tigers Broke Free talks about the decimation of the Royal Fusiliers Company C. Also check out "Ahmed" by "Lowkey". Britain has some of the best lyricist's ever.

Literally, a bomber gunner's plane is shot down. As he is falling towards that foreign field he has time to consider his life and dream for the future before dying in the corner of that field.

The " Final Cut" is all of Roger Waters work, as the credits say Pink Floyd perform the music. Also reason for Roger and the band separating

Roger Waters lamenting the death of his Father whom he never got to meet for he was killed in a foreign field is a Beautiful Memorial

Honestly. Do full album reactions and then edit out the video. Start with Meddle-The Division Bell. ✌️

Damn I cried hearing this again. This is not close to my favorite album of theirs, but the emotion that comes though on Roger’s lyrics and vocals are off the charts. The song like the album in general just needed a little more Gilmour.

Pull yourself out bro. You're smarter than that and have so much to be proud of of as a man European decent. I did it.
