I'd imagine the French would be feeling *REALLY* f***ing pissed off with the Americans. Especially after de Gaulle had to *BEG* the Americans to follow him to Paris, or else his Free French unit would be on strike. The French would be looking for someone to blame. The communist French would place some blame on de Gaulle. Some might blame the Spanish. After the Spanish said "We're declaring war on Germany... after all the work has been done..." The Dutch would *ABSOLUTELY* be *SUPER* pissed the Yanks nuked Amsterdam for nothing xD
Most of the Nazi sympathisers in Paris were executed within a few weeks of liberating Paris.
Hundreds of thousands almost immediately joined to follow de Gaulle after Paris was liberated. The French population would be Women, Children and the remainder to men would couldn't or didn't fight, a f*** load of prisoners the Germans didn't execute and the remainder of Nazi sympathisers the French didn't execute or the new sympathisers. Until D-day, the Germans saw Paris and France as a holiday destination. Especially the men on the Eastern front when they were on leave.

My headcannon for why Amsterdam got nuked is that the nuke was heading for Hamburg, but the bomber was intercepted by an Me 262 and the bomb just fell onto Amsterdam by mistake. This incident led to such an enormous political catastrophe that the Allies were never allowed to attempt another nuking in Europe, the Dutch welcomed the Germans back, and the American and British armies lost what little will they had left and started revolting en mass thus leading to the near complete collapse of resistance in West Germany and France..

A new and brilliant German commander. Nicknamed Bittersteel by the Allies after the tenacious defense he made during 1945. At just 20 years of age he became the spotlight of the German high command. He stopped the soviets in the East and stopped the Allies at the west, crushing their dream of a swift victory in just 1 month. Nukes couldn’t stop him and he entered Paris in 10 th of January 1948. After that hitler gave semi control over the Wehrmacht and the SS. In some historical documents it’s said to persuade Hitler to better and safer decisions in the most critical situations. He also checked and created divisions himself without the approval of the reich. He took Moscow ( a fever dream) in 1st of November 1950 literally ending WW2 and annexing the soviets and making the whole world pay reperations in the peace talks. He became Hitlers favorite so he and hitler governed the reich. After WW2 he gained the nickname” big daddy” by nazi generals
He saved a dying nation and he created a new order…

Now they've saved Italy and conquered France - AGAIN!" where Soviet general responds "Comrade General, the Soviet forces have lost over 20 million soldiers and we are falling back. The Germans are pushing as further than ever before and we do not think we can hold their advances. Somehow they managed to get guns to all of those crazy patriots of them!"
To which US general responds; "General, we have lost so many troops in the European theater, that we are forced to pull out. Europe's problem aren't our problem. We have done what we can, we are on the brink of civil war here if we don't pull out the forces and equipment. We just cannot continue. Oh, and Generals, Italy is back on map. How is that possible? This clip actually reminded me of a story I heard from one of my college professors. One of my history professors is the son of a conscripted SS veteran. From what my professor told us in the class, his father was transferred from unit to unit in the last days of the war. Every time he was transferred once every few months or so, his old unit would have the crap beaten out of it as they were retreating from the Soviets or the Americans. As you were moving your units around, it reminded me of that.

In our own timeline they were having manpower issues by 45 to the extent it was getting tough to keep frontline units full. The same is true here of Germany to a less silly extent(just because there was less losses) they wouldn't have been able to take millions more casualties.

After short testing and a lot of thinking i have figured out that it's possible to do the "Battle of Festung" by using the nearby Mechanized Division to hold out west of Stuttgart, ive also tried to then Retreat with these troops to Munich to hold out long enough to get the event but i havn't yet managed to do it though ive gotten 1 or 2 day's away so it's not impossible. I personally also like to try doing "Operation Grapeshot" and "Vienna Offensive" but its not really possible to get these troops out after their done so it may or may not be worth it though a permanent modifier in exhange for a couple troop's to me seem's like a good deal.
Please do give me feedback on what you're strategies are and what you think is worth or not worth it because it's best to see thing's from multiple angles before deciding which one of them are best.
