I'm glad you did this sponsorship! I was averse to war thunder until I played. It's really a decent game for free and you 100% do not need to spend money to have fun or win. The vehicle historical accuracy, and modular damage system is what I (a fellow war/history nerd) love the most. I.e. you can only penetrate certain parts of tanks with certain caliber or penetrating ammo. Pretty much anything under 10mm wont do any damage unless the crew is completely exposed. Its one of the only good sponsors out there I feel.
Man, if only hitler didn't kill himself, teleported his men and equipment out of encirclements, summoned millions of soldiers out of thin air, recaptured lands they had already lost and got more soldiers out of those lands that have already been tapped clean before, asked nicely for the soviets and allies to just leave their equipment in their frontlines, he could have saved the war
Tbh it was doable. Waffen ss recruitment drives, soviets would've likely left a lot of equipment untouched purely because they thought they were finished. They managed to evacuate staligrad Still very hard though
The idea of the entire remnants of the German army just moving themselves near the border with Denmark holding out till the allies and soviets suddenly decide kill each and then reconquering their entire country with the threat of nuclear annihilation at any moment is quite the cursed timeline.
That was unironically the historical plan of the Germans. Hitler was hoping and constantly talking about the 'fragile alliance' between the Soviets and Allies eventually breaking due to their differences. He hoped that them attacking eachother would allow Germany to pick a side (the Allies) and sign a conditional peace.
Yeah, not to mention they were able to somehow magically bring all their surrounded manpower in Italy and the Balkans back simply by "disbanding" them.
from the dutch perspective this was a bad day. a german man used his machinegun to shoot at celebrating people on the dam in Amsterdam. a lot of people died there that day.

this mod is cursed, in my game, sweeden declared war on me, the soviets declared war on turkey the british, french and americans keep naval invading neutral, yes, NEUTRAL spain (and walk tru their land back to port to keep naval invading), democratic australia is on the comintern, and china and prc is at war with the allies; its 1953 and i keep getting nuked every 2 weeks, they dont even nuke my units, they nuke hamburg over and over and over, i recover all my core territory just to get pushed back again, the usa has 51, yes, 51 divisions per tile and they are aggresive as fuck, my modern 30w tank divisions cant push usa inf, i think its too late at this point also the soviet ai give up at some point and they dont even move units dunno what happend

@@quarreneverett4767 i still love how they maintain *MILITANTLY* that the eu4 ai doesn't cheat on dice rolls and whatnot, because i was there in like 2015 when someone put together a massive statistical table and it showed that on average, the player rolls objectively worse than the ai, to an extent that cannot be excused or explained in any way save for the ai having weighted dice. some of the individual composed battle-sequences of rolls were Dream-levels of unlikely if you assume the dice aren't weighted to favour the ai. honestly eu4 in general is essentially one of the worst-made games from paradox because they absolutely loaded it to the gills with dice. almost every mechanic is RNG-based, and if you want ironman on, you have to genuinely just accept that the same 8 nations are going to have artificial buffs that make them drastically outperform both you and all but 7 of the other ai nations. this is *including* the fact that the ai is specifically designed to target the player, even in instances where it doesn't make sense. the ai will genuinely ruin itself and destroy its own economy and ability to survive if it means it can even mildly inconvenience you. it will fundamentally disassemble itself and be fully occupied by another ai and *still* sail 1 regiment across the globe to burn a colony in arctic alaska that has 42 people and a single cantankerous walrus inhabiting it, but only if it's *your* colony. the ai also gets just... outright cheats, like disabling *naval attrition* for *all* ai nations. they don't even hide it either, that's intended design for them. the ai will proudly and defiantly sit in range of naval batteries where it says that it's taking 5-15% attrition, and just... chill there. forever. because they, and i am serious, didn't want to do that work on the ai. the ai just ignores an entire aspect of something and they didn't even attempt to make it pretend to be adhering to it. they genuinely just said "yeah we thought it was too complicated for the ai so we just turned it off." ???????????? this is what we put 4000 hours into. we are but hamsters, on the wheel of turmoil and tribulations. we cannot get out. drums. drums in the deep. they are coming.
@@iMajoraGaming i noticed alot of games just devolve into death match no matter what they claim. For stellaris for example there are mods for more diplomacy options. Disables how the ai gets turned off when they your vassal and tries to circumvent cheating ai to make them not get cheated resources Yoh look into ai and stuff of their games. The setuo and layouts can be unsustainable and manage to keep empire running and resources
@iMajoraGaming the ai certainly does cheat a lot and i really don't like lucky nations as a mechanic either buttttt at the same time the game is already really easy once you get past the steep learning curve of ur first 50-100 hours so the ai kinda needs it

Palanga having a better port than Liepaja in HOI4 is some pipe dream. Libau/Liepaja even had subs base. As far as I know Lithuania started working on port in Palanga only after mustache man finished his focus.
Would love to see a Courland Pocket mod for HOI4, where you try and defend and hold off the red horde for as long as possible. Could be called The Courland Reich.

Games as in paradox games. There are several games that have legit ai and restrict the chesting to player enabled options and difficulty settings
