I’d like to thank everyone for their kind comments and feedback. Doing this show with Jay was a truly wonderful experience full of plenty of laughs ! I wanted to make a small correction to the content in light of some recent factory records reviewed, conversations with Astec employees that built the carbon fiber tubs, and the designer Peter Stevens. There were actually 50 production chassis made, not 53 mentioned in the episode. One extra spare tub was ordered by Tom Walkinshaw 10 months after regular production had ended. Just wanted to clarify that for the sake of complete accuracy ! Thanks again for your kind comments and a special thank you to Jay Leno for having the car on the show ! Jas Dhillon

SP02: BRG Turban - That's what it is! So many comments on how cool this guy is. I couldn't put my finger on it, now I get it. (Gots me wondering if he's got one in blue, with GT stripes?)
Jay, you should ask this gentleman to bring his TWR XJ220S down to you so you can take a look at it. It's a different beast to the stock XJ220, 680bhp (up from 542bhp) and a few hundred kilograms lighter. It's basically a road going version of TWR's 1993 GT1 car. Also, next time you are in England, take a visit to Don Law Engineering. They now do all XJ220 servicing and updates on behalf of Jaguar, plus prepare the Jaguar GT, Group C and IMSA GTP cars. Last year Justin Law won the Goodwood Hillclimb in their 1993 XJR-12D IMSA GTP car.
"It's noisy, it's hot, it vibrates and you can smell over the different exotic stuff that's being combusted... in other words, it's absolutely perfect!" That's what this guy said on Petrolicious and he was so damn right

This is the best coverage of this car I have ever seen, and I've been a fan of it since I was a kid in the 90s. It used to he hard to even find high quality pictures of these online, great to see it covered for a half hour in full HD in 2018. Definitely one of my favorite videos so far on this channel.
Amazing piece of Jaguar history back when Jags were Jags. This beautiful car came from pure bred stock, straight off the racing circuits and into the hands of mortals. Brings back memories of when you had to shout at your injectors and smack the perc fan to get the car to drink. The youth of today never had the experience of feeling a car drink petrol, every explosion that threw you forward. Another GREAT video Jay, thanks.
When I heard you ask the fellow what the gas mileage was, I laughed, recalling when I was about 23 years old and I was in Hollywood on vacation and saw the Ferrari dealership. So I went in and I asked the lady-salesperson (pc) what sort of gas mileage it got ... I think it was a Dino Ferrari. She replied with much disdain, "If you can afford the car, you don't care." Right, so that was me told to piss off, in polite terms ... and I did. Great site, Jay.
Never fails to disappoint. What a great episode. Find it funny how Jay is always so impressed that a car doesn’t overheat in traffic, shows how much we must take it for granted these days with modern cars. “Look water temperature, oil temperature all good!” Haha
It's nice to see people who can literally buy whatever they want, not just because they can, but because they actually have a genuine love and passion for the automobile. Too many people with wealth buy expensive cars just because they can, but can't tell you the first thing about it. I had a client with a 130k S550 all the options even the upgraded Burmester sound system. I checked the audio settings and everything was flat. She never turns it on. She said she's not a car person and just needs a car for point a to b. Just get a Camry lady!
This car is almost three decades and looks like it was built yesterday. It really is a driver's car. And for me it's as modern as the newer road super cars- every owner of a new super car disables all electronics to feel the car better, and that's way this car fells like it didn't aged a lot . It's has pure mechanics with no so much electronics. Thank God for those rich people 'cause they keep them in good condition, and so from time to time, we get to see these beauties at shows and such. Now do Bugatti EB 110, Vector W12, Saleen S7, Nissan R390 (if you can), Ferrari F50 (jay and david lee can make fun of each other again), Maserati MC12, Delorean, CLK GTR. PLEASE!!!
Tony Montana perfect list. Those would be a great start. I’ve been watching all of his “old car” videos which are awesome but the random super cars of the last three decades would be cool

Do you think Jay just sits around and thinks, "hmm, I feel like doing ________ car this week, so ill magically make it appear and then magically film it for hours just so I can appeal to peoples ignorant whims....." nearly every car you listed has tons and tons of information already out there, not to mention are far from interesting compared to the numerous other vehicles Jay (typically and thankfully) showcases. ugh
if you knew anything, you would know that the R390 is nearly the same car as this too, just with Nissans own engine.... This car being reviewed not only is just better in and more interesting in every way, but is the original design and actually made in real numbers (whereas there is only 1 single R390 which is only legal for street use in Japan and thats irrelevant anyway because its owned by Nissan and has never once seen the street, and never will.) get a clue
Kyong Hansen Brotha. It’s just a wish list. Nobody expects it to actually happen. But yeah, I guarantee you if jay wanted to do videos on those exact cars he could, easily. Car guys love to show off their cars. Cheers.

I left a comment a few months ago about wanting to see jay do a bunch of rare cars. This was one of them. Awesome!!! I wonder if he read my comment? Now do Bugatti EB 110, Vector W12, Saleen S7, Nissan R390 (if you can), Ferrari F50 (jay and david lee can make fun of each other again), Maserati MC12, Delorean, CLK GTR. PLEASE!!!
Tony Montana perfect list. Those would be a great start. I’ve been watching all of his “old car” videos which are awesome but the random super cars of the last three decades would be cool
facepalm.jpg do you have any capability of pondering the perspective of other people??
Cheers.
Saleen S7, oh baby!
This is one of my favorite cars. A real drivers car. No sizzy millennial electronic driver aid. You and your driving skills are in charge. 👍
It scares me because no electronic assists 😠 But it looks very pretty :) 😍
@@toxicgracie3772 No this is a car for people who can drive. This is not a people mover. 😏
That’s an impressive car this Fellow is also a true enthusiast and knowledgeable not only about his car but others as well. I liked the fact that he says drives the hell out of it and that’s the real reason for being passionate about sports cars, and he’s a Brit who moved to Tennessee I’ll bet he gives the mountain boys a twist...Lol
I love watching them geek out and giggle like little kids, I’m in love with the shape of this car
she thiccc
Beautiful. The shape reminds me of Zonda.
You are right ,zonda Pagani!!
Thanks for making and sharing these videos, Jay and team! Really great that you're sharing all these cars with the world.
*An engaging guest and the genuine article.*
What a pleasant person. Thank you for sharing your car with us.
Always loved the XJR-15. I liked it better than the XJ-220.
Same. Gotta love that V12 and naturally aspirated.
subjective: i think the 15 is much prettier than the 220.
reminds me of NFS III Hot Pursuit :)
22:14 what an absolutely stunning car.... at some angles reminds me of a zonda or even 918... truly super! Thank you both for sharing!
I like this guy alot. Genuine smart and saving lives. Have him back!!!
Boy, the Doctor is really knowledgeable about cars. If he is as compassionate about his patients as he is for cars, I think you are in good hands.👍
Jay says the 220 was " quite fast "ah hahahahahaha, understatement. It was the fastest car on earth until the F1. Top speed of 218mph.
All of Jay's episodes are great but this one is very wholesome.
