Thank you for your kind comments and views ! i I wanted to make a small correction in the content in light of some recently reviewed factory records, conversations with Astec employees that built the chassis and the designer Peter Stevens. There were actually 50 production XJR-15 chassis built, not the 53 mentioned by me in the film. This has been propagated on wikipedia as well and is simply incorrect. Just wanted to clarify that so that the information being shared is correct. Thanks again for your kind feedback, making this film with Petrolicious and talking about the things i love (family, friends and cars) was a truly lovely experience ! Jas Dhillon

I had that same feeling as a 6 year old back in 1998 when I first saw the XJR-15, became a favourite of mine instantly to use. I always used to think of the design as a kid to a B2 stealth for the road just like the Countach 25th in black being like the F-117 Nighthawk. Those designs really appealed to me and still do. The XJR15 is one of my very favorite cars since childhood. Every now and then I come back to this beautiful video. I love that channel. Very high quality content for car enthusiasts. 🔥❤️ Keep it up!
It's easy to instantly see the thread of this car through the modern McLaren, even down to the dual headsets used in the modern P1. As far this car, thank God for Walkinshaw and Stevens. The innovative engineering they had almost 30 years ago is amazing. And with Jaguar's racing history added with the fact that they made these road going race cars makes it difficult to understand why Jaguar doesn't have more of a stake in the modern supercar/hypercar game. Beautiful analog driving and simply breathtaking scenery, the blueprint of all the great Petrolicious videos.
This is what it's all about--passionate, awesome owners, fantastic cars, and a bond that crosses all borders--one of the best videos on this channel yet!
I think this man embodies what a car enthusiast is about, he could very well choose a modernized super car with all of the baby monitors, but he chooses to drive something visceral, something that delivers raw performance, but has its quirks such as a hot cabin and crazy loud engine noise. Much respect. I will be researching the XJR-15 as it has peaked my interest. The performance of numbers of that car are impressive by today's standards.
I have shot video of Jas's amazing cars in the past for our channel. I would say that you just don't get it until you see them in person, but that would be incorrect. Petrolicious did it right. No one does car video like they do. And kudos to Jas, who brings all of his amazing cars to the local events for everyone to enjoy. A true car guy.
Wait, I have to be on camera? I'll need you to sign this waiver saying I'm not responsible for any damage that may occur to your equipment due to my lack of "photogenicness". LOL
What I like more is this pure racing sound. Wooooow!!!! The owner explains very well the story. It should be great having tea with him talking about cars.
An exceptional video. Even by the high standards of Petrolicious. And what a perfect owner. In a way, you don't even get jealous; he's absolutely the right guy for that car. And yes, that sound...Nashville must be full of zombies. It raises the dead!
If I could choose anyone to be friends with it would be this man, such a passion for cars and such an amazing taste for them too. Very good story teller and a very interesting man!
Beautiful film. The owner articulates perfectly what it is to be a true car enthusiast. It's always nice to see cars like this being truly appreciated and driven - not just locked up in a showroom n polished once a week.
It was an amazing video when it was just about the car. Then his dad came into the picture, then those shots of his kids smiling while in the cockpit. This brought tears to my eyes, absolutely fucking beautiful. I wouldn't have expected this level of emotional intensity from such a valuable car, as sometimes Petrolicious videos about the rarer stuff tends to seem a bit too emotionless.
I love the fact that this man love for his family and cars shared is so inspirational. Also the fact at 1:25 in this short film that his shoes are a little tather in the front. Car enthusiasts from the core. I love this guy. 👍👍
I came here from Jay Leno's garage. After seeing this amazing car and awesome owner I wanted to see the video that was mentioned. I am not disappointed. This is so well shot and edited.
What a beautiful film, filled with heart, soul and passion. Much respect to Jasbir for his excellent taste in cars and for his story. One of the best sounding cars I've ever heard. The aerial footage was especially beautiful. Thanks for this.
A triple win! Firstly, the car is amazingly exciting and desirable; secondly, the man is such a fine gentleman and true automobile enthusiast and finally, the video is a masterpiece! Petrolicious provides us with such an abundance of joy that it is hard to find words or gratitude. Best wishes to all involved.
First, this is one of the best quality car videos I have ever seen. It's amazing! Second, Mr. Dhillon seems like a true gentleman, who is passionate about his car. Third, "500hp doesn't seem like much"... That is crazy to just hear. Yes, I know cars come in 600, 700, 800+ HP now day. But how much do you need? How much can you use? The point of all that power is to be quick and to go fast, and that is certainly accomplished by this car. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Looks to be filmed in Franklin TN, on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Beautiful stretch of road!!! I'd love to go for a ride in that car down that stretch of highway!!
I just came back to this video after a couple of years, had forgotten about this beautiful car. The-eye-of-the-beholder and all that, but it's a shape which has no 'mistakes' in it, it's _fundamentally_ beautiful. Also, as happened the first time I watched, something about Mr. Dhillon reminiscing about his parents, and seeing him with his beautiful children, actually brought tears to my eyes.
just bored Tv ruins these formats. Look at Leno and his tv show. The producers always telling him to slow down. Aside from the audio quality Leno's UA-cam channel is million times better. Petrolicous would be ruined by tv formatting and it's producers. Look at newest version of Wheeler Dealers...Edd left because producers said the format of recording the detailed repair work was too expensive and time consuming. So they dubed it down to simple repairs only on film. Edd left and rightfully so. The detailed repair work was the ONLY reason I watched. Edd was very talented. Mike is annoying and goofy. TV ruins artistic production. Tv is about numbness and dumbness as cheaply as possible.
Petrolicious thank you! You give us the opportunity to really appreciate these cars for a moment. I had completely forgotten about this car! I remember playing this car in Need For Speed. I guess it was overshadowed by the xj220. But seeing those tail lights.....nostalgia. In every video you guys make, theres always passion and I LOVE it. I can feel that passion. It makes me want to go out and drive.
It comes from more than that; ER doctors don't make that much. $250k/yr, tops. He's either invested well, or inherited from his father. Either way, good for him.
Rick Bailey Not in Tennessee. Look up average specialty salaries per area. $500k is high even for ortho, cardiothoracic, or neurosurgery. Outside of plastics or areas where the cost of living is very high, Doctors don’t make as much as you’d think.
@@kevindavis5966 this isn't the xj220 so making 250k-ish a year for let's say 20 years, it wouldn't be hard to save up enough to buy/finance the xjr-15.
poop scoop Except you’re looking at the Jag in isolation. This guys got at least two other super cars, one of which is a McLaren, and a large, expensive looking house. And he’s got two young kids he’s probably preparing for college. You’re looking at a seven-figure income for all that at least.
What a relief to hear him. After hearing and watching endless cocky UA-cam fake car guys; it certainly reminds you who is a real car guy. He is elegant ,poised and oozes class. Also reminds you how to carry yourself.Respct👍
I’m so glad when I was 13 did I not only get to see one of these cars at sneatton race track in the UK I was 1 of the lucky few that got taken out in it and I tell you what it was a dream and more amazing than I could of imagined! Love this car will always have a soft spot for a piece of British motoring heritage!!!!
Best enthusiast video in a long while. I could simply listen to this one without any visuals and still be immensely rewarded between the narrative and the amazing engine noise. Keep your eyes open and you get this gorgeous car to boot.
The absolute greatest automobile review I've ever watched. I am infatuated with this car and the symphony of sounds that V12 produces...two thumbs way up. EXCEPTIONAL VIDEO!!!
It's going to be amazing to see one or more of his kids podium at LeMans. Did you see the eyes of the little boy in the white sweater when he was sitting at the wheel? That kid know's what's up. Godspeed, future gentleman racer.
I've recently started driving and, even though my car is nothing near this one I get the same feelings. I'm telling you that kid is going to have the greatest experience learning to drive. Huge respect for this man, his humility, taste. He truly succeeded in life.

You guys really outdid yourself with this video. Top notch stuff here! Excellent as always
Didn’t realize you are a car guy too! Awesome stuff!
And one of these days, we'll work together on a vid. One of these days... ;)
lol! you would have to be on camera tho.... I am always game... lets shoot something.
Wait, I have to be on camera? I'll need you to sign this waiver saying I'm not responsible for any damage that may occur to your equipment due to my lack of "photogenicness". LOL
This is A BEAUTIFUL Jag.I never knew an XJR existed until just now
I nominate this to the top 10 most amazing sounding cars ever featured on Petrolicious. Simply amazing !
It raises the dead!
lol.
I think it’s fair to say that this particular video is the single best car video so far on UA-cam. Utterly brilliant
Wow, what a compliment. Thank you!
Absolute work of art! This guy is the perfect owner to boot! I couldn't imagine seeing this flying past me on the BRP
I could listen to this guy talk about cars forever!
Woah this guy used to live down the street from me!!! Amazingly cool guy, he let me sit in his Carrera GT once.
Logan Abner is he British or American? His accent jumps between British and American.
noelsebz90 he is british but has been in America for a while, same thing has happened to my dad's accent. Being halfway between surrey and Aussie
Logan Abner Carrera GT has too much power to be practical
Seriously? Thats pretty awesome
Nashville can have a strong effect on anyone's natural accent, lol
This is by far the best Petrolicious episode yet.
This video made me cry. This is the best thing i've watched for a long time. Thank you!
Great Car that's made even better by the amazingly passionate story of this gentleman and his family!! Thank you for sharing his with the world!!
That engine note though.....I had an eargasm!
Wow. Just, that's all, wow.
WOW, it was better then almost everything published on Petrolicious last year. Nice come back! Thank you!
Another video of a legend, unknown to many. We need more cars and content like this ! Thank you guys !
I love the fact that this man love for his family and cars shared is so inspirational. Also the fact at 1:25 in this short film that his shoes are a little tather in the front. Car enthusiasts from the core. I love this guy. 👍👍
I think YT needs to start handing out some awards for some of these productions.
The world needs more people like this man.
The sound. Oh the sound.
I think this is one of the greatest sounding cars I've ever heard. Can't believe I've never heard of it until now.
I came here from Jay Leno's garage. After seeing this amazing car and awesome owner I wanted to see the video that was mentioned. I am not disappointed. This is so well shot and edited.
Thank you! It was very cool to hear Jay give a nod to the film!
Best wishes to all involved.
gosh Nashville has some stunning countryside,, the jaguar is pretty special too...
Finally a good video ! Thanks Petrolicious ! Not an ad, Not a shit car. The best of the best.
This channel has to become a tv show one day
just bored
Tv ruins these formats.
Tv will be dead soon.
I've never been a lover of Jags but I must say I love this. What a raw car,a drivers car and that noise! Wow. Great video and documentary👍
Awesome video, Jas is a cool dude
This video is so excellently done that it makes the car even more appealing. Congratulations!!!
Another cracking video that is voiced beautifully by an articulate owner. Bravo.
Jasbir Dhillon is an ER doctor so his wealth comes from saving lives so that's pretty sweet
It comes from more than that; ER doctors don't make that much. $250k/yr, tops. He's either invested well, or inherited from his father. Either way, good for him.
@@kevindavis5966 ehhh id say 500k min i know drs that do less for 350k.
So much passion in his voice... and how beautiful does Nashville look? wow!
What a relief to hear him. After hearing and watching endless cocky UA-cam fake car guys; it certainly reminds you who is a real car guy. He is elegant ,poised and oozes class. Also reminds you how to carry yourself.Respct👍
My GOD, that sound ! It is not only surreal but harks back to the days when cars were made to be driven. Good job, Mr. Dhillon. Much respect, sir.
Damn. I feel ashamed that I haven't noticed this car model until now. It is Beautiful !
Love the video & car, but did anyone else see the dent on the upper side of the E-Types grille?
Cobra_ Daytona yeah I've caught that too
He just got it. It is a work in progress. A very rare early series 1.
There is literally NOTHING not absolutely wonderful about this video, this man, this story.
Love the Daytona cameo at 0:54. Any other gearheads out there who also appreciate a good timepiece?
Dan Mannon thats what i was thinking
Best enthusiast video in a long while. I could simply listen to this one without any visuals and still be immensely rewarded between the narrative and the amazing engine noise. Keep your eyes open and you get this gorgeous car to boot.
The way he presented his own car in his speech is really remarkable
The absolute greatest automobile review I've ever watched. I am infatuated with this car and the symphony of sounds that V12 produces...two thumbs way up. EXCEPTIONAL VIDEO!!!
Barely a negative comment (apart from the 3 Prius owners), says it all.. very nice car and film
Yep, surprising, isn't it ?? And no racial remarks also! Interesting...The haters must still be sleeping !
Haters don't have passion, you would never find them on a channel like this.
Looks like its up to 37 tree huggers now.
It's going to be amazing to see one or more of his kids podium at LeMans. Did you see the eyes of the little boy in the white sweater when he was sitting at the wheel? That kid know's what's up. Godspeed, future gentleman racer.
This is a really good, heartfelt, Soulful video
Arguably one of the most beautiful videos you've produced so far, both by car and by owner...
Petrolicious you did it again!!! Awesome vid
I've recently started driving and, even though my car is nothing near this one I get the same feelings. I'm telling you that kid is going to have the greatest experience learning to drive. Huge respect for this man, his humility, taste. He truly succeeded in life.
Amazing production truly, keep up the good work guys!
What a video, the production quality alone sets it higher then anything else you see on TV. A true car guy and an amazing vehicle.
