Hi Judy! I hear you. Limiting calories to 1200 calories/day can leave people feeling pretty hungry. The BEST thing you can do to reduce that "starving" feeling while losing weight is to get all your calories from high quality foods that are high in fiber and that are unprocessed (no sweet desserts, just whole grains, lean proteins, beans, some plant oils, maybe some nuts/seeds, lots of vegetables and some fruit); also drink no alcohol, and only zero calorie beverages (minimum 64oz/day). It might not be a very "fun" weight loss diet but by devoting all your calories to HIGH QUALITY items, it's the optimal way to reduce your body's feeling that you're "starving." There are cells in the intestines that detect nutrient density. As the cells are nourished with good quality nutrients, they send signals to your brain that you're full. Better quality of food = a stronger "full" signal (usually).
I have come to the conclusion that portion size is the way to go and I need to up my exercise. DO YOU HAVE A DIET SHEET I can down load. Following this nutrisystem has been pretty easy but I'm still tempted to want that fried chicken.
I'm sorry I don't have a diet sheet, but I hope this food list will help you with your portion sizes… www.novomedlink.com/content/dam/novonordisk/novomedlink/new/diabetes/patient/disease/library/documents/planning-healthy-meals.pdf Although the food list is made by a diabetes company, I use these food lists for everyone who's working on losing weight because the lists are so very helpful. I encourage you to print them out so you have them for quick reference.💙
