What's up guys!?
Today since I'm stuck in quarantine due to this whole corona virus thing I decided to reflect on my first travel experience abroad! It was my first Tim traveling alone out of the country and I went over to Cambodia in South East Asia to be part of a research team setting up an artificial coral reef on a remote island off the coast of Cambodia. This was an incredible travel experience and it really set me on the path I am today. Hope you enjoy!

Great video Joey. I got a kick out of the, "my first time," segment with the fancy music in the background haha. Nice comedic element you implemented. But yeah, it's so cool that you shared that story and I can relate in a way. In my junior year of high school, I went on a class trip to Italy over our Easter break. Prior to the trip, I wasn't into traveling all that much. I had gone on another class trip three years prior to that in Canada, but I felt kind of lonely and I was only 14 so I didn't really know how to embrace the situation at the time. This time however, a bunch of my closest friends were going, I was three years older and wiser and I thought to myself, "Hey, this may be the only time you ever go to Italy in your life." So subsequently I went and the trip was amazing. It taught me so much and it definitely opened my eyes and made me realize there's more to this world than I had ever imagined before. And the camaraderie aspect, which you touched on in this video, was another thing that made the experience that much sweeter. I'll never forget that trip. It's literally almost been exactly six years to the day since we took off.
Ryan Touhey Nice!! Glad you gave it another shot and opens your self up to it. A lot of it is mindset I think like you mentioned. If you think your not gonna like a place you’ll have that filter on everything that happens and it will be harder to change your mind. Or if you expect the trip to be the best thing ever it may not live up to that expectation. But if you go in just looking to enjoy whatever happens and embrace the people around you I think any place can offer an amazing experience. Never been to Italy haha it’s one of my last places in Europe and I really hope to make it there after the virus
