    I really love your hair😍❤️. I incorporated some of your tips over the last 7 months and I have experienced A LOT of growth retention. My hair is past my shoulders now, the goal is your current length lol. Waist length would be bomb of course but my arms hurt thinking about it 😂😂

    I have scalp psoriasis...cut out caffeine! Chocolate, tea, and coffee will cause flair ups in your scalp, forehead, and behind your ears! Keep a food journal and take note of how your scalp reacts to diffetent foods. Different products will cause flair ups too so watch for that.

    I kid you not. My scalp looked like that for a very long time and after using organic aloe vera gel as a prepoo, I noticed the scales and flakes didnt return. So I repeated it at my next shampoo day and they have not returned, over 6 years now. Dont know if this will help but it certainly helped me. Your hair looks amazing🎉❤

    My teenage daughter use to have the same problem with her scalp. Her scalp problems went away after I started making African black soap shampoo with carrier oils & peppermint essential oil on her scalp. I also used Ucuuba butter with oils as a moisture sealer. She hasn't had a scalp problem in 4 years now.

    I have seborrheic dermatitis and have dealt with it for the past 15 years. My scalp flakes in the same exact spot. But I recently cut out all dairy and my scalp no longer flakes. If I have a high sugary snack day, I'll also flake. Since the issue is fungal/yeast, it makes sense that the sugars would be the issue. Changing my diet has been hard lol but i feel better now this year than i have my entire life so it's absolutely worth it if anyone else is experiencing anything similar. The dermatologist just wanted to give me steroid treatments and i dont believe in treating symptoms instead of the cause. Especially when it deals with manipulating my hormones.

    • @kimmcfadden4679
      @kimmcfadden4679 Місяць тому +1

      Seborrheic dermatitis is a different condition than psoriasis. I did use a steroid called Hydrocortisone and I only used it briefly to clear my scalp up. Yes it does have chemicals but it's not designed for long-term use anyway. I did not change my diet and my scalp has been clear for over 10 years. My hair stopped shedding so much and it also grew better.

      @@AshleyMassegirl DONT try ACV rinses with scalp psoriasis! Trust me, as a fellow scalp psoriasis sufferer, stick with Sulphur 8. It stinks but you can make it less noticeable with essential oils and a yummy leave-in (I use lavender oil & Knot Today leave-in and the smell totally masks the sulphur). ACV will make your scalp sores open up and become inflamed. My scalp used to bleed with ACV until I stopped using it and the sores closed. It’s not dandruff and cannot be treated like it!

    My hair goals:
    I've been trying to understand my hair for my entire life. My mom does my hair but I want to learn how to do it on my own and learn how to help her with hers when needed. She relaxed my hair. It's very coarse so it ended up being texlaxed. Even so, I am now a transitioner as of June 2024. I want to transition back to natural hair, learn how to properly take care of my hair, and grow it to at least waste length. I don't want it too long because I love changing up my styles often and some days I'm fighting for my life not to just go bald so styles like chiney bumps (bantu knots) come in handy. I just want to learn and be happy with it. Then I can help my children one day to learn their hair as well :) I also have a lot of hair trauma so I'd love to work through that too...

    That's great to see a dermatologist. I deal with eczema. My scalp gets worse as I eat certain foods. Maybe try figuring out what you may be allergic to. Sometimes allergic food reactions show up later in life. Perhaps try changing what you eat to show a possible allergic reaction to a good. This is strictly my opinion. I hope it helps.

Anything like white bread, white sugar, white rice, shellfish, too much red meat, too much sugary foods and drinks, and dairy can cause flare - ups.

But my hair goals is to continue the health of my hair and grow my hair past my shoulders, it always gets stuck above my shoulders lol. I was diagnosed with scalp psoriasis by my dermatologist last year and she prescribed me with some medicated hair grease and it works well! So I highly recommend to go to a dermatologist if you can. Love this video! Regarding a flaky scalp, what has helped me so much is Glover’s Medicated Shampoo. This shampoo has cleared the flaking and scaling of my scalp. Just make sure to follow up with a moisturizing shampoo 😊

    if u still don't believe in washing the tips of your hair instead of washing your hands, wash your elbows and let the water flow down to your hand ,lets see if the hand is clean😭😭

    Looking at your hair and it looks close to my type. My braider said that I should not use leave in conditioner because it for very fine hair textures. Your hair is gorgeous. I definitely will be using the fresh rosemary water

    • @MayaMcinnis

      I wouldn’t get hair advice from ‘braiders’ they just do what works for them and products aren’t great for braiders BUT I would get advice from LICENSED hairstylist as they understand the whole hair growth process. If you have hair similar to hers you DEF need leave in to achieve her results but hey I’m not a professional just saying listen to your hair FIRST. Good luck. 🤎

    My scalp used to have that exact same condition it was a reaction from a hair care product . Sulfur 8 is ok but you’ll benefit better from Head & shoulders shampoo with the Almond on it. Hope it helps. I wash my hair the same way scalp scrub, then scrub hair in between my hands brush from the ends up and braid it in the shower. Head and shoulders once a month.

    Definately see I dermatologist. Just saw one recently and had to get a biopsy done. He then gave me scripts for 3% ketoconazole shampoo and a steriod cream. Also wipe down/rinse off bottles because in between washes the build up on the bottles can be harboring microscopic bacteria/mold. Continue being blessed and sharing your journey with us.
