Sally's has a new low porosity line that I'm going to try out. As I've gotten older my hair has become harder to take care of and the usual things have stopped working as well. So I'm gonna give this one a go.
A hairwash method from my grandmother - rye flour instead of shampoo. Dilute with water to creamy liquid state, use on wet hair like a normal shampoo, do not use hot water, follow with a conditioner. I love how it gives hair volume and healthy feeling.
Wow great tips❤ Also if you're someone who catch cold easily just like me then use warm oil in nature or just simply warm any oil before applying your scalp during winter /monsoon Use cold pressed oil / oils cool in nature during summer Don't use it overnight too
Also make sure you get proper nutrients & vitamins in you'r body, and avoid overusing curling/flatirons, blowdryers and coloring too often. Dometimes making sure you use the right kinds of hairtools /materials for you'r hair helps.(ties and combs for example) and searching protective hairstyles is a good idea too? (Not a professional, but seems to help me)
I think instead of micro needling, you can use wide toothed comb if you're talking hair growth. Just have to keep brushing the scalp regularly (2 times a day for atleast 5 mins). It is not for just detangling your hair but also to increase blood flow in the scalp. Plus yeah, hair oils, I use a mixture of oils: coconut, bhringraj, Indian gooseberry, rosemary. Sometimes I add an infusion of curry leaves in olive oil. It makes the hair very soft and quite shiny because I also cover my grey hairs (coloured hair). But recently my hair has turned curly/wavy. Earlier I used to have less of a wavy hair. So right now that is my concern. And on that my hair is very fine, almost weightless. I do consume protein but overall haven't seen a change for better. So I am thinking to incorporate satin pillowcase and maybe do a conditioner only wash routine. Will update if I see a change. Do suggest me a better way if you know. Edit: thanks for the golden tip here. I forgot to mention. I'll definitely try the rice water rinse thing.
I have always heard about the influencers and ads going on about sulfates are bad for ur hair. But when i educated myself about hair and shampoo it aint bad. Well its bad if u use it too much. And good if have too much oil scalp

Congratulations! That sounds lovely. I refuse to age gracefully lmao -- if we don't let our joints "age gracefully" why should we let our hair go? If you don't mind my asking a couple of follow-up questions, do you mix ACV in with the rice water or do it as a separate treatment? Also, what type of hair do you have? I have fine type 1 hair for reference. Thank you for any advice you can share!
Did you use it like she recommended in the video ! Like for 30 min only ...I wanna try the rice water but if it's gonna ruin my hair , then I 'd rather not
I buy rice water rinse by hairitage by Mindy and it leaves my hair feeling amazing! No cooking or soaking needed. I only use it twice a month to prevent starch buildup. I also use that brand of scalp exfoliator and also use that twice a month.
i should also add that for microneedling go for the stamps instead of the rollers because with the rollers, the needles drag your skin as you roll it around
Hi.. You mentioned the Rice water routine and also hair oiling routine.. So how would you incorporate this in a week? The rice water routine 3 times a week and then the hair oiling once a week? Isn't that a lot of hair washing? Sorry just want to understand how to follow a certain routine for my hair.
Yes, and that would be too much and you might strip off natural oils from the scalp. I'd rather we use rice water twice a week and oil once a week, which equals to 3 times Washing of hair which is more than good!
Hi, you need to be careful with rice rinse since too much usage can make your hair brittle, according to most sites you can use it twice a month. And with hair oil it depends on what oil you are using and how much you apply to your hair. Some oils are very lightweight and can be used daily but other need to be applied a few hours before you wash your hair.
Silicones Can build up on your hair and lead to scalp irritation, excess oiliness, and dullness. Some silicones are non-water soluble and require a sulfate-based shampoo to remove. However, sulfates can dry out your hair, which can make these issues worse. Sulfates Are cleansing agents that create lather and remove oil and dirt from your hair. However, they can be harsh on your hair and strip it of its natural oils. This can be especially problematic for people with dry or damaged hair and scalps.
It's a weird one but goat milk worked for my super dry hair, like somehow it cleared dandruff and even helped my hair grown faster. Just put some in your hair cover andeave for 45 mins and just wash it with a siper gentle shampoo to get rid of the smell.
Not weird at all! Goat milk is packed with fats and proteins that can really help dry hair and scalp. It moisturizes, strengthens hair, and might even promote growth. (I love donkey milk even more!!) It can even sooth dandruff 😭🫶🏻
Your video is soo useful but it's difficult for me to understand it because I'm not native speaker. I appreciate it if you put English subtitles. I think that's helpful for Asian like me
i put raw aloe vera compound with few coconut oil and left it for 30-1 hour. After that i rinse with sulfate shampoo. my hair appears volume and glossy
Disrupt the cuticle: Sulfates, also known as surfactants, can open up the hair cuticle, allowing color molecules to escape. This can cause hair color to fade quickly, sometimes in as little as 3/4 washes. Strip natural oils: Sulfates can strip hair of natural oils, which can cause irritation. Disrupt the scalp and hair balance: Some sulfates can be aggressive and disrupt the natural balance of your scalp and hair. Strip keratin treatments: Sulfates can strip the smoothing benefits of keratin treatments.
I use coconut oil since I was a kid. I apply it every friday night, used to have a long silky hair but my hair now is curly hahaha I still do apply coconut once in a while and massage my scalp. Also don't apply conditioner on your scalp and make sure you scrub your scalp properly when you shampoo.
hmm my hairdresser told me silicone is bad and contributes to bad hair condition because it builds up over time and prevents actual nutrients from entering the hair, so you end up with weak plastic-coated hair that is prone to flying... to me it makes sense to base haircare on actual nourishment, natural oils, proteins etc. works pretty well for me rn. also don't blindly trust anything that "science paper" say, look behind who funded it.
not sure how the conditioner makes your hair prone to flying ( maybe you have extremely straight thin hair??) , cause they make my hair weigh down alot ( i hv wavy hair) 💕
I think that's where the regular clarifying shampoo comes in, though, to remove anything that has been building up. Oils and any leave-in treatment will still leave some residue that will gunk up over time. I agree on not automatically trusting any scientific research, but it's also worth questioning a hairdresser's opinion, because they are still humans who could be getting their information from equally questionable sources. Best to just use your own judgement, try things that seem reasonable, and kick things that don't work.
girl hair is dead, it doesn't need nutrients or vitamins or any of that lmao (the follicles and scalp yes, the hair itself not), hair is as alive as a wood plank, also the clarifying shampoo removes the silicone.... so it doesn't build up.... cuz anything builds up if you don't wash it.... I think you should have thought a little more before commenting.
What do y’all suggest me as a straight haired girly? Like some tips? I would want them to be smooth, strongs and longs, but I don’t know what to do, and I don’t know if those things applies to my type of hair too. I probably misunderstood the majority of this tho, English isn’t my first language (🇫🇷🇨🇦)🥲
Rice water can be bad if you have low porosity hair. It makes my hair so dry and brittle. Aloe vera, honey, rosemary, and coconut milk have all worked better for my low porosity hair than rice water, but everyone’s hair is different.
I have a silk bonnet and pillow and it did nothing for my waves. Not in years. What made much more for my hair is to put it all up instead of sleeping on it.
reallly really great info, thank you for sharing! frankly the delivery is a bit tough to swallow though, it sounds like your putting on a show, just talk to us, girl.
"Quick question: Do we apply the LOC method when the hair is damp, and should the oil be applied to our scalp as part of the LOC method? Secondly, when you mention using natural oils, do you mean applying them to the scalp as a weekly treatment, or just to the ends on a daily basis?"
any slight wave or curl can benefit from the loc method. i have all type 3 hair, and i honestly don't use it myself bc i have high porosity (more products equals more build up, and i have a sensitive scalp lol so i stick to less products), but i have friends who have wavy hair who live by the loc method!
I have a similar hair type and the LOC method changed my life. Took a bit of experimenting to figure out how much of the oil layers my hair actually needs but it’s so much healthier and forms proper waves if I use a protective hair style like braiding after applying LOC. 🙌🏼💕
my friend has 2a / 2b hair and she does a straight hair routine. Her hair always becomes frizzy when she brushes it. If you can see the wave pattern a bit while it’s frizzy then this method might be good, idk. I have 1a hair and 2b hair on my front parts whenever i do a wavy routine!
Yes!! It's not just for curly hair it helps with frizz and keeps your hair hydrated. Just play around with the products to see what your hair likes best! Let me know if it works for you 😍💕

You can break hair strands or make scars where hair cuticle is by microneedling at home with this roller. Only safe is in salon and with special tool that hit with 90 degrees

I love how it gives hair volume and healthy feeling.
gonna try it, thank you
Is useful for greasy hair? I have wavy hair, greasy in scalp and dry in ends
"Thanks for existing"
That's one of the best things I've ever heard 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Thanks a lot for your care and instructions ❤❤❤
Wow great tips❤
Also if you're someone who catch cold easily just like me then use warm oil in nature or just simply warm any oil before applying your scalp during winter /monsoon
Use cold pressed oil / oils cool in nature during summer
Don't use it overnight too
Also make sure you get proper nutrients & vitamins in you'r body, and avoid overusing curling/flatirons, blowdryers and coloring too often.
Dometimes making sure you use the right kinds of hairtools /materials for you'r hair helps.(ties and combs for example) and searching protective hairstyles is a good idea too?
(Not a professional, but seems to help me)
6:27: no, bodies do not "need a detox". Unless you have kidney failure and no liver, your body does all the "detoxing" it needs by itself.
The Micro-needle will definitely take my “Hair Game” up a notch. Thanks for the tip 👍🏽❤👍🏽
1.Separate egg yolk from egg white🍳🍳 2.1 big spoon of mayonese 3.Add any essencial oil I use lavender oil because of the scent 2,3 drops😁😁 4.1tbsp coconut oil🥥🥥 5.Squeeze 1 lemon to eleminate the smell of the yolk🍋🍋 6. Add in any hair serum of your choice 2,3 pumps, I use Livon Frizz Free Serum (optional) 7. Now just mix the mixture to prevent lumps 8.After that you have to use double boiling method 9.Put this mixture into a plastic container and stir the mixture occasionally on medium flame until it forms a completely creamy buttery and mask type consistency, stir it one last time and then put a little on your palms mix it between your fingers and most important, use this mask only on your hair shaft do not put it directly on your roots because of the consistency 10. And there you have it the most easy way to achieve silky smooth hair, my hair is already silky but i just tried this remedy for fun and it did wonders for my hair, you guyz should give it a go and thank me later 🤗🤗🙂🙂💜💜
Washing my hair upside down with cold water
it's the best way to wash my hair + helps for hair growing
True, it helped get rid of dandruffs
How do you manage not to get all your face wet while doing this?)
@@istanne979 you are bathing....its ok to get your face wet
The BEST channel on youtube. Glad i found this channel.
Wow, thank you sm 🥹💖
😊❤ AMAZING advice! I also use Apple cider vinegar in my rice water rinses. My hair has never been this healthy , shiny and extremely long. 😊 im 46 and my hair is down to my bumb! 😂 Ive got the hair of a 20 year old. So all these hair advice videos really do make a difference. 😊 xox ❤🎉
Rice water ruined my hair ... be careful it's not for everyone
Me too. It doesn't suit me but does magic to mama's hair :)
Same here..my dandruff and hairfall increased
Did you use it like she recommended in the video ! Like for 30 min only ...I wanna try the rice water but if it's gonna ruin my hair , then I 'd rather not
everyone has different hair types so makes sense, for me rice products help me so much
OMG 😯
Thanks ❤
Your videos are literally a gem for everyone please don't stop
I hope you will make a video soon about being healthy and how to lose weight
I will 🤍
Thanks for the silicone disclaimer! When I don't use silicones, my hair looks like an old straw sweeping broom.
Due to my own experiments, I found that sulphates strip color in the hair, so be aware of it if you have dyed hair.
yeah. I have a sulfate free shampoo for colored hair!
water strips more color than sulfates! The worst enemy of color is actually the combination of water and damaged hair
Very true 🤍
I’ve used Rome washing soap, eliminating build up. Leves my hair smooth
I buy rice water rinse by hairitage by Mindy and it leaves my hair feeling amazing! No cooking or soaking needed. I only use it twice a month to prevent starch buildup. I also use that brand of scalp exfoliator and also use that twice a month.
Thank you for sharing your recommendations with the community 🫶🏻🥰
@@BeautyTheoryOfficial you're welcome!
Applying home made oil from aloe vera gel for 30 minutes and then washing it with shampoo, also gives super silky hair❤
i should also add that for microneedling go for the stamps instead of the rollers because with the rollers, the needles drag your skin as you roll it around
(same)
Silicones
Can build up on your hair and lead to scalp irritation, excess oiliness, and dullness. Some silicones are non-water soluble and require a sulfate-based shampoo to remove. However, sulfates can dry out your hair, which can make these issues worse.

Sulfates
Are cleansing agents that create lather and remove oil and dirt from your hair.
Do you put in the roots?
Thank you so much for such an insightful video 😇
Who is that gorgeous woman with the hair you mentioned in the oil section? Wow. That hair!!!
Your video is soo useful but it's difficult for me to understand it because I'm not native speaker. I appreciate it if you put English subtitles. I think that's helpful for Asian like me
the key is only focused on CONDITIONER AND HAIR MASK.
i put raw aloe vera compound with few coconut oil and left it for 30-1 hour.
Genetics is the vital reason our hair is as it is.
hmm my hairdresser told me silicone is bad and contributes to bad hair condition because it builds up over time and prevents actual nutrients from entering the hair, so you end up with weak plastic-coated hair that is prone to flying... to me it makes sense to base haircare on actual nourishment, natural oils, proteins etc. works pretty well for me rn.
also don't blindly trust anything that "science paper" say, look behind who funded it.
not sure how the conditioner makes your hair prone to flying ( maybe you have extremely straight thin hair??) , cause they make my hair weigh down alot ( i hv wavy hair) 💕
Shampoo washes off silicone. Its a big myth. Also there are many types of silicone.
Perfect hair routine:
- rice water (20-30 min)
--> shampoo
- conditioner (silicon based)
- hair oil (natural oils)
- a thick hair cream
- clarifying shampoo (with sulfate)
--> use a silk bonnet/pillow
--> use microneedling
I've hair fall and thinning and I want to grow them back plz make a video about how to increase the density
I’m definitely subscribing
A perfect channel. Subscribed ❤
A perfect new subscriber 🥰🤍
are satin pilowcase's good for your hair/face too
Rice water can be bad if you have low porosity hair. It makes my hair so dry and brittle. Aloe vera, honey, rosemary, and coconut milk have all worked better for my low porosity hair than rice water, but everyone’s hair is different.
The best tip I can give someone on their hair care journey is to know your hair ❤, be healthy ❤, ask God what to do ❤, and also bless your hair ❤
Every thing have good and bad sides you just need to use right amount 😊
True 🤍
How well do you think Loma shampoo would wash out oil in my hair?
have also seen a trend of using shampoo on just your scalp and not the lengths. any comments on that?
"Quick question: Do we apply the LOC method when the hair is damp, and should the oil be applied to our scalp as part of the LOC method? Secondly, when you mention using natural oils, do you mean applying them to the scalp as a weekly treatment, or just to the ends on a daily basis?"
Just a question, what if I have light waves ( 2a ) do I need to do LOC method to help my frizzy hair ? Or is it only suitable for wavier hair type
any slight wave or curl can benefit from the loc method. i have all type 3 hair, and i honestly don't use it myself bc i have high porosity (more products equals more build up, and i have a sensitive scalp lol so i stick to less products), but i have friends who have wavy hair who live by the loc method!
Let me know if it works for you 😍💕
Hi, the video very good, do I have any questions? For dry hair it means dry scalp, what are the necessary conditions My hair is very dry and very itchy? Please answer my question🙏
Thanks for the video!!
Please make video on prosity hair which shampoo should use and oil
uhmmm, all i do is shampoo(ofc i use high quality shampoo also the right one's to fit my hair type) my hair once or twice if necessary on hair wash day and guess what, i have perfectly healthy, shiny, silky smooth hair, i don't use any of the above, cause 1# i'm lazy as hell, i do not feel like having more stuff to do after having an arm workout on hair wash day(i have THICC hair), 2# don't feel the need to do any of these since i'm perfectly fine with my shampoo only🥰 and before you all come at me for not using conditioner HEAR ME OUT, this works fine for me and idk if it's just me but if it is then it's my business
You can break hair strands or make scars where hair cuticle is by microneedling at home with this roller. Only safe is in salon and with special tool that hit with 90 degrees
True but I didn’t want to gatekeep because it can work for some people if they know what they’re doing. Just be sure to do your research and listen to your hair’s needs!🫶🏻
Love your vids!! Would love to know how you make them, like what do you use?
Can I use natural oil ?
do we use the natural oil only on our scalps?
OK, but what if we're alergic to coconut oil? what products would you suggest?
can we apply coconut oil and leave it for 3 hrs before rinsing our hair with rice water and then simply use shampoo because i dont use conditioner / use coconut oil and leave it for 2 to 3 hrs / wet your hair with normal water then use rice water/ then simpily wash our hair with shampoo and dry hair off. Is this correct and will not cause hairfall ? pls reply big fan
Does this apply to curly hair
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO !! im insecure of my hair since it’s really frizzy and dry 😭 thank you !!
You’ve got this queen 🥰💖
@@BeautyTheoryOfficial THANK YOUU
Thank you for the video easy explanation clear advices just the best
Wow , looking for more valuable videos
and remember, use soft waters please. hard waters is one of the best way of raising difficulty in haircare 🥰🥰
is it possible that for loc method I use a serum instead of oil?
What order would you recommend doing these things in . Like do I derma roll them oil them shampoo and condition with the loc method all in the one wash day session ?
Quick question about the rice water. If the rice starch is coating your strands making them smooth, then why would you rinse with rice water and then shampoo and condition? Wouldn't it be a last step so you don't rinse all the starch out? Thoughts?
I have a question do you need to make new rice water every time or not? Thank you ❤
Yes
Rice water so real
My hair is soft and so smooth after using it . I keep on wanting to touch hair😶 BTW ❤thankyou that was helpful
Thanks so much Thanks.!
Yall after showering just wash you hair once with mineral water the results are gon be magical
Also remember it's just hair!!! ❤️
Guys , Does onion juice help???
honestly, its all about water quality.. the moment I visit area with soft water my hair is suddenly not frizzy and ugly already after first shower
6:34 I use micellar water to rinse the oil out of my hair I don't know if its wrong tho
the ends of my hair are dry but my hair hates conditioners and oils, it just sits on top no matter how much i rinse it out as my hair is low porosity so im at a loss here
7:12 I have a dry, flaky hair.. I feel like I need to use clarifying shampoo everyday because once i put hair products on my hair, once it dries it will leave a product build up on it... should i need to use clarifying shampoo everyday? what's your best advice?
Does it matter what kind of rice you use?
I have wavy hair nd I had used rice water couple weeks however it's damaged my hair it has become much worse 😭.. Be carfull girls this maynot suits evryone in other hand it may be good for some girls.. It's beter to aviod usingit nd use shea buter
Just 2 steps
