It will probably save me some time. Clamping the root and the end takes me forever. I'm not a hairdresser by no means.. I just know how to do two strand twist because when covid hit, I'm the one who kept them looking decent. I became the hair dressor. LOL 😂

This is how I twist my hair. When I want to wear a twist out I unravel the twist part and leave the roots braided so later that night or a few days later the parts are still in tact and I can twist it right back up.
My oldest daughter is 27 and I always started the twist at the scalp. I’m so glad to learn to start out braiding. My granddaughter’s hair is really gonna last!!

When I twist or braid, I put a dollop of shine/gel product on the back of my hand for easy access. Placing that container on top of homeboy's dome is wild. Whatever works for you though. You got skills! Thank you for sharing ❤

Braiding is really a skill basically a sport from sectioning the hair to having the strength to braid to making sure your doing the right steps for certain hair types is really a science!!

Being able to braid African hair specifically is such an underrated skill, to me it’s like when someone knows two languages if that makes sense? Like seriously you have to be an intelligent individual to know how to braid hair part and all the little products pieces everything down to a T is just so impressive! My daughter is mixed so I just now started to learn how to do French braids so now I know how to do a French braid, but it’s kind of hard on her hair because her roots are a little straighter compared to the end of her hair, which are a little more frizzy!

Instead of the jam I use pink oil moisturizer but that Nairobi works wonders on braids and twists. My favorite this far. Beautiful job.
