The 3rd rig would work best because snelling a recurve hook increases your hook up rate. Believe it or not, if you just snelled one hook it would work better. From new Zealand where we have had 50 years experience using recurve, ir circle hooks
Really? I will have to check that out! I was under the impression the two hook would work better because Red Snapper tend to strike the bait and if they missed the hook while chomping on it the more hooks the better the chance it'll get hooked. I'll have to do some experimentation, thanks for the comment!!!
@@NickeeGee the reason it works is that its the only rig where the hook will lay.properly as its snelled. If you snelled a single hook your hook up rate will be higher. The other hook gets in the way. A small bait on a single circle hook with the point sticking well clear rigged correctly will astound you. Good luck
Thanks for commenting! I like the Carolina rig because if the fish breaks you off, there's better chance your sinker comes back with you. With a knocker rig if you break off, you lose your entire rig.
@@NickeeGeeObviously for offshore fishing on a boat.. A leader that heavy for inshore snapper fishing; you wont catch a thing.. Snappers have great eyesight
Thanks Nick. Can’t wait to try these
Awesome! Let me know which one you like best !!!
Thanks for the Awesome Rig presentation 💪💪👌👍
And thank YOU for taking the time to leave the nice comment!

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA, THE WEIGHT IS TOO BIG AND LEADER NEEDS TO BE MUCH LONGER.
Hello and thank you for this video.
For you the best is the knocker rig or the carolina rig?
I am new to fishing.
Thank you

@@gino55yo I catch more on the Carolina rig
Hello Sir, Thank you for the feedback.
How much should he measure for the leader?
I put 15 inches.
@@gino55yo I usually use anywhere from 18-24 inches 😃

Thank you!!!
Nice looking hooks Owner?
Yes they are!
good info..thanks..
Hey I appreciate that comment Matthew!!!
What kind of leader is that?
I only use monofilament leader. 50lb to begin with and heavier if I keep getting broke off.
Thank you. 👍

@@PracticeMakesPaper Of course, this video is for Red Snapper which are usually found offshore.
You did not show how to bait double hook:
Sorry about that! I have lots of videos fishing offshore that show me baiting hooks.
