My Yamaha outboard was leaking oil and I had no idea where from. I tightened a screw and thought the oil would stop leaking from the outboard but still had a leak. I’m in steinhatchee for first time, was wondering if you could help me with a good area to start catching for reds north or south tried around pine log island south and north rock point. Little success on incoming then nothing on outgoing. And so much traffic made drifting for trout impossible. Do I need to try going way north or way south for better luck you think?

    • @NickeeGee
      @NickeeGee 2 місяці тому

      Honestly this time of the year sucks because of the scalloping. Fishing outgoing in the early morning or evening is going to be your best bet because once the incoming starts it gets so grassy anywhere you can't hardly fish. I'd try Tater Island and South or if you decide to go north, dallus Creek and past that.

    I love your videos....Thank you for all that you do for the fishing community. Just wanted to add something I've noticed when I'm fishing..Fish are kinda dumb... I've found they don't really care about what's looks natural, they kinda just bite at what's moving. They get spooked, yes, that is true. My dad's friend, who had major fishing lure sponsors, tied on a paper matchbook on his line and told my dad, "watch this" had a strike on it from a monster bass... The guy told my dad...."When they're hungry, they bite everything". Just saying, if they can see it, they'll probably try to eat it....

    • @NickeeGee
      @NickeeGee 5 місяців тому

      Thank you for this comment! It's funny you say that because recently I've come to a similar conclusion...some fish are smarter than others but ultimately they're all kind of dumb haha. I think the fishing industry tries to complicate things and market the next best thing for sales but when it comes down to it, finding the fish is the most important thing and if they are hungry they're going to most likely eat what you throw in front of them.

  • @melonytoni9016

    Im not sure about the last part. Is hindsight a different thing than looping? If I would have a bite, fight it, net it, release it and then press the button and have the last 5 minutes saved, that should be possible with the action 3 right? Or are you talking about something different?

    • @NickeeGee
      @NickeeGee 5 місяців тому

      Hindsight and looping are similar but do have two distinct differences. With looping, you only record the previous amount of looped video in whatever interval you set. With the Action 3, they have 5 minutes, 10 minutes or 20 minutes. The annoying part is if you have a fight that's more than 5 minutes, or any sort of action lasting more than the set interval then some of your footage could be lost. To combat that, you could set a higher interval of 10 or 20 minutes, however if you have no action at all, you've just saved a 10 or 20 minute useless video to your SD card which takes up storage space and that's more footage to sift through. With hindsight, whenever you press record, it will start saving the previous 30 seconds plus all future footage to your camera. So whenever I would hook a fish, I press record. It captures everything that happens 30 seconds in the past which typically would include the cast and the hookset plus the entirety of the fight or until I press record again. If the fight only lasts 2 minutes, I save only two minutes of video to my SD card and I KNOW there is some action on that clip. If the fight lasts more than 5 minutes, it'll still save that entire fight so whereas the loop would cut off at 5 minutes the hindsight would continue recording until you hit record again. I know that was a very longwinded explanation but it can be confusing. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any more questions!

      I'm not familiar with the fishing combo, is that new ? I bought the action 3 adventure combo and I actually love the battery case and the selfie stick is pretty quality. IF you can afford the newer action 4, I'd highly recommend it because they have a pre record option which is fantastic especially for fishing. If you can't afford the 4 and want the 3 I actually am selling mine to upgrade to the 4, I'd give you a really good deal on it if you're interested!

    Just installed a 7" model and with no instructions just like this guy found. RED was plus and Black was negative. Had to solder fuse link into red. The other bolts and screws are for the transducer. I guess that 3 hrs of shop time would be required. If you are familiar with boat.....and fast 2 hours shop time is all it would take. Can't wait to give it a try!

    It would be passive income, if you wouldnt spend any time to record video, then edit that video etc etc... in this case, it will take 30 years to payoff your gopro cost lol:))) passive income, when you make money doing nothing or very little... like renting a house once and then just collecting rent for years... and still you will need to do some maintenance...

      @@jayhob1114 awesome thank you! I'm actually currently using the DJI Osmo Action 3 but for GoPro I think you have to upgrade to at least the 8 in order to use their adapter. Their adapter allows you to simultaneously charge and use an external mic however the adapter is expensive and kind of a pain in the but with how it's designed.
