- Organisations and life in general run on a sigmoid / S curve.
What does this look like?
A dip in the early stages where competency is low, then an increasing rise with time, a plateau and eventually tapering down.
In this episode, we discuss the "Second Curve" that leaders can take before the first curve finds its natural end and how we can help our teams navigate this through the lens of succession planning, handling failure as well as unpacking Idris' segmented profit and loss approach.
Dato Sri Idris Jala is a former minister (ranked by Bloomberg in 2014 as the top 10 most influential policy makers in the world) and Chairman of PEMANDU Associates and Heineken Malaysia, as well as Co-Chairman of Sunway Group.
Leon Jala is a pastor at HTBB Church where he serves as the Director of Content and Co-head of Creative. He is also a Board Member of PEMANDU Associates where serves as Interim Chair.

Good Morning DS Idris & Leon...I am happy to note that your Episodes are part of your CSR Programmes for knowledge sharing & also knowledge enhancement.
As u hv aptly mentioned "Retirement" is not just sitting back & pondering. Its useful to utilize whatever Quality time we hv for new exciting ventures like sightseeing, contributions to society, helping the needy ones etc. Most important Retirement can be seen as some form of Enlightement to pursue other Goals which could not be achieved earlier due to work & family commitments. An Enlightening EP25. Cheers. Tq
