- The damage to my turbo B series Honda Civic is actually pretty bad. I crashed my turbo Honda Civic and broke a bunch of stuff. Today I explain how I crashed my turbo Civic. Then I'm going to show you everything that's damaged and layout a plan for the rebuild. The damage is actually pretty bad, but I have a plan to repair the turbo Civic drag car. The comeback is going to be legendary.

Glad you’re good man. Crappy thing about a front end collision in a turbo B series is that literally everything related to the turbo setup is right in front and is almost guaranteed to be destroyed. Hope you rebuild from this, maybe time to look for that rust free shell.

i have a eg hatchback with a b16a2 but I believe the block has a rod knock. I plan on getting a b20b block or rebuilding my block. What would you recommend?
Been there, lunch for me it was my truck and it just went into a field, but if I was too excited on the 1-2 or 3-4 I’d pull the wheel down on the way to pull the shifter.

Glad you’re ok but you should highly consider letting go of that “want” of a 10 second pass. The car is hurt. I personally feel that will be seriously pushing your luck if you just patch it back together to try and get a 10. Let’s not be greedy here. Count your blessings and regroup brother.

Tough lesson to learn. Did something similar years ago (20 years ago... f time flies). Aside from digital camera's, UA-cam and smartphones weren't even a thing. Was doing a pull in my modded Neon on a feeder road. Car pulled out of a parking lot, right in front of me. I hit, the breaks, they locked, I turned right to avoid hitting the car in front of me. Once the tires finally gripped, went up the curb. Completely tore up my wheels, alignment, among other things. It's very rare I go doing pulls on a public road after that, but if I do I keep it to the speed limit and make sure it's in the safest possible area. Never know when things are going to go sideways. Speaking of sideways, flew off the road doing 90 mph in that same car, but that's a whole other long story and lucky to be alive.
I'd honestly not attempt to JB Weld the case and run it at the track. I know you're trying to get content out there, and content that'll reach. There's a pretty good chance, with the way helical gears in a trans work. They want to push each other apart, and the shafts in the opposite directions. You'll more than likely split the case, oil down the track, and worst case scenario you could get trans fluid under your tires and end up in the wall.
Take your time with it and fix it correctly, then get back at it. We're all here to see you winning, but in a safe manner and we'll definitely be here for all uploads.

Glad your okay man but one handed pulls in a fwd is a big nono. Car is replaceable, look forward to you fixing it.
You could salvage part of that charge pipe & maybe bang that intercooler back & get it welded for a temporary fix.

Sorry to hear that happened but buy some good camera mounts like a go pro suction cup, easy to put on your windows or flat metal surface.
I wouldn't weld the Radiator support back I would make it removable makes it way easier to work and remove stuff like turbo and manifold and taking out and putting in engine

Hey John check out go autoworks intercoolers. I ran a TM-X800 on my ek coupe. He uses garret cores to build them with and the workmanship is amazing.

I've been into cars since 5 years old I am 24 now I'd read Honda tech forms I've owned over 10 Hondas, and I'd drive recklessly, one day I was driving in the dessert where I live going 70 mph on the freeway and I deer ran into the road my instinct reaction was to dodge it I drove off a cliff car flipping so many times I closed my eyes I thought i was going to die, then and somehow landed up right I was stuck in the pitch black dessert for 3 hours nobody drives on the road my phone had 3 percent and had 3g signal and I sent a text to my friend and my phone died right away, animals were coming to my car and all the windows were shattered I climbed into my trunk while they surrounded the outside of the car, now I drive very careful even though I'm still very passionate about cars and owned and built several cars I drive the speed limit maybe 5 mph over but yes I think it takes everyone a very bad crash to understand it's all fun and games until something bad happens, I learned responsibility, most people who drive reckless never been in a very bad crash, going to the track is better
you'll build it back nicer with some welding/fabrication. I wish I didn't scrap my 7th gen when it needed a hood, bumper, lights, rad support, and engine mount. my 8th gen looked like the ac condenser was fd and the ac didn't work, but suprisingly as taco'd it was, it still blows cold.
With that manoeuvre you pulled, I gotta say you're fucking lucky to missed all those stationary objects, especially the trees! It could've ended up sooooooo much worse.

Oh no. I’m so glad you are safe and not hurt. A very similar thing happened to me in a Civic about 42 years ago. (I am elderly 😅). The steering wheel just jerked. I was ok but went down a ravine and flipped the car a few times. The way you described it is so similar. 😮 Peace and Love...SuzWhat ☮️💛

do yourself a favor and get an actual tubular crash bar ( i use a mayhem metalwerkz), the amount you've cut away is at the very least a little concerning. and now very bent. I know these cars aren't safe to begin with but you're not doing yourself any favors that's for sure, can't imagine the damage in a worse accident. you should take this opportunity to take the safety of the car more seriously as well.
