Perfect timing, helpful annotations and excellent graph patterns. Because of your enthusiasm, I’ve recently picked up crocheting again after 35-urgish years of having not touched a hook since my granny taught me. And I LOVE it! Thank you! I’m a farmer’s wife, and in my day there’s a lot of hurry up and wait for short, undetermined bursts of time in the house or on the go, and this is the exact hobby I need to to keep my hands productive for 10, 20, 30 minutes at a time. I‘m a bit late, but if you live in an area with extremely stable temperatures you could just make the pettiest color gauge by assigning each color to 3 or even just 2 degrees. As I said, be petty and nitpicky, and basically force the color variation. ^^
I really like Tony‘s idea for this year of making a blanket of the year she married. It‘s easier to set the gauge for a year that already has all the temperatures filled in, so there‘s no guesswork involved. So maybe that could be an inspiration for a „year before I left“ blanket as a goodbye to your former home?

I absolutely love your nails. I am going to try this. I have crochet for YEARS but I am horrid with new patterns. Right now I am going to work on a Navajo lap blanket for a woman I just love. Her husband passed away and I just want her to feel warm.

Started a temp blanket for 3 of my daughters using their favorite color palettes. They live in different cities across the US so the temp ranges are quite different. I started using strips of Tunisian crochet simple stitch and definitely not loving it. So this tutorial came at the perfect time and “gave permission “ to re-do an unloved project . Now using the linen stitch in squares and have quickly caught up including working in all those ends!!! Thank you, thank you- love all your videos including your yarn and tool reviews!!
