- I recently just finished playing Telltale's The Walking Dead Game Season 1 for the first time and I really think this game is absolutely amazing. In this video, i hope to give more details into why i loved the game and what makes twd game season 1 so special. I see why this franchise has a large following and was so popular back in the day.

I'm glad that I've played this series of games. They were some of the best, rage inducing, saddest moments I've ever experienced that no other video games has done before.

For as much love as The Last of Us got, I always said The Walking Dead did the same thing a year earlier. It just wasn't a high profile AAA game. And a lot of players didn't like the point-and-click gameplay style. But when people actually give this a chance, it usually wins them over. For me back then, the context of it was Telltale had made a pretty neat Back to the Future adaptation, a less neat Jurassic Park adaptation, and then BAM. This. The choices tied to story and character were better than they had done before. And probably ever since. The "dinner" scene in Episode 2, is still my favorite moment of the whole series. Aside from the heartbreaking ending, of course. The Walking Dead S1 was a masterclass in building relationships, and at a time when the excellent Mass Effect 3 had also hit the market, it was this that became my Game of The Year in 2012
The only flaw with the game is unfortunately most decisions do not matter :(
They really don't. Telltale somehow still trick people in to believing decisions actually matter. AP nerds fully believes it i feel sorry for him

I also missed out on this beautiful journey back in 2012, got to try it earlier this year in January & I've been a die-hard life long fan ever since.
This game still hurts ten years later
And it’s crazy that in season 1 the place Savannah I actually lived there which is actually crazy that it’s changed so much

(daniel anley) the walking dead 2012 is truly a masterpiece. I truly believed this game because of the bonding, the theme, the emotions and the true meaning of survival. This game and characters gave me bonding to telltale games. If it weren't for franchise, I don't know what I would've found it weren't for franchise. I love and miss telltale"s the walking dead. Thank you walking dead and telltales for everything.
To be honest without Walking Dead I don't know if I'd of given Last of Us a chance. Which is now my favorite game and why I found your channel.

Walking Dead is one of the best games I've ever played.
This game is cinema
Season one was good. It came out when the tv show and the comics were still in their prime. I think the game should of stopped at season one, the comics should of ended with Rick getting to Alexandria as Kirkman originally intended and the tv show should of ended with Rick getting to Alexandria as well. All 3, the game, comics and tv series lost steam and went on a little longer than they should have. Whilst I like season 3 of the game series because it was the return to Clementine being an NPC which is how I think she works best since the player connects better with her when she is organic and has autonomy (like when you turn autonomy on in The Sims vs off and they feel more alive)than when she is controlled by the player especially when you can choose what she says. I mean it’s more rewarding when Clementine chooses to like you, the player and appreciates what you chose for the playable character to do for her to solidify their/your relationship.
Not gonna lie, when I played season 4 I did so because I felt obligated to see how Clem’s story would end I wasn’t looking forward to it as much as I looked forward to season 2 when I thought season 2 would of been about new characters after playing 400 days which I felt was a way of telltale testing if the fans of the game could enjoy a walking dead game without Lee and Clementine. I liked the characters in 400 days and would of preferred season 2 to have fleshed out one of those character from the mini story, with subsequent seasons focusing on other characters from 400 days, all operating in the same walking dead universe. To me Clem’s story arc ended in season 1 as did Lee’s. Omid and Christa would be her carers taking on the mantle after Lee’s death. Clem showed she had learned what Lee taught her before he died and Lee got his redemption by looking after Clem and saving her whilst preparing for Omid and Christa who couldn’t have a kid of their own to take over as care taker for her.
Season 2 was just fan service and paled in comparison as the story had less emotional Impact and had set an impossible task of measuring up to what was essentially a game of the year awards winning game.
The game resembles the show a little bit in (hoping the show ends well) terms of story and plot, in the end of s4 Clem gets bit, like Rick lands on a metal thing (in s9) and bleeds out slowly. I truly love Telltale and what they’ve done over the years and knowing that s5 could come out after skybounds atrocious comics (cause of money). This and uncharted are my favorites in history, along with God of war (which is the first mythological game ever). My favorite characters are Clementine, Kenny, Nathan Drake, Captain Price, and Kratos.

I have always heard they are good. But I've never played any of the Telltale The Walking Dead games I really don't know anything about them. I have watched all of the AMC The Walking Dead TV show though, I don't know if the Telltale games have anything to do with the show.
