I think thats mainly just in Australia. In Europe and the uk, the v10 m6 is known as a legend and has millions of views on youtube.
Also because it's epicly ugly. But nice engine though!

Had one for 3 years, loved every second of it, no issues at all. You need to know how to take care of these cars, when to slightly release gas pedal when changing gears (yes even in automatic SMG) For it not to wear out the clutch etc.. Watch oil levels, and have an eye on the bearings :) Such a unique car, thinking of getting another one, but the new M5 F90 is just something I have had my eyes on for a while now :D
Is it more reliable then the E60 M5 since they both have the same engine?
Laflame My friend had E60 M5 only issue was the tranny got old needed a replacement is all. But the engine and the tranny are the same on both E63 and E60 so same issues and enjoyment 😄
Clutch wear is higher though if you lift gas when changing gears :P

@dylan bowes yeah there is m6 with manual from the factory so you can find manual insted replacing the automatic with manual

Hi from Perth mate. Love the M6 , I just picked up my 3rd e92 M3 actually the same motor as v10 minus 2 cylinders. Always wanted a M5 or 6 just a bit scary, one day hopefully. Cheers.
If you can find one get the MRF rear section exhaust. By far the best sounding for S65. Closer to Lambo than BMW. FYI I also have test pipes and the combo is the best after V10

Lift off the gas when up-shifting or downshifting. it puts less stress onto the clutch and it will last longer. I had one of these a few years ago, and it was one of the best sounding cars I have ever had, but a little fragile.
I don’t even like bmws but this is impressive. Lol. If only I had money haha

What brand after market exhaust? Usually after market exhausts ruin N/A M motors but this seems have made it better! Amazing sound
straight pipe or xpipe with the backbox gone; straight pipe is probably louder ; this sounds like xpipe

Don't always believe what you see haha. I've changed the brake pads on the car but one of the sensors was faulty. I have new brake pad wear sensors but haven't been bothered to change them.

haha First gen S85 such a hunk of shit. Rod bearings, VANOS pump gears, VANOS solenoids, VANOS internal line, VANOS pump, Throttle body actuators, and that's just the engine lol don't even get me started in that hunk of shit SMG lol. These cars are such ticking time bombs.
Sounds like a space ship.. so sounds like nothing we've ever heard seeing no ones ever heard and if so recorded the sound of a dance ship... tf just find a vocabulary word to use
They sound good but only make around 200kw to the wheels
That's true haha but for around 200kw to the wheels for a big heavy grand tourer that was made in 06 it does 12.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile and 340kmph on the autobahn which is what the car was made for. So can't complain with those figures.

Swizy. I’ve seen them dyno at 180kw at the wheels brintech customs in Sydney take these engines and put them in m3s look them up they have UA-cam videos of them on the dyno
