I have to say it was your video that I watched before listing my products on Etsy for POD and I finally made an organic sale yesterday 🎉🙌🏽. Yes, I’m new and I didn’t spend money on ads. It was the SEO keywords that allowed the customers to see my products from google.
It’s so nice to finally see some useful examples! Everyone explains SEO the same way, but I needed specific examples to wrap my head around it better, thank you!!
In all your SEO videos you say that titles are only 10% of your total SEO for your shop. Will you be making a video soon about how and where to optimize that other 90%? I and many others would benefit from this greatly. Thanks!
I do have resources where I go more in depth on this. If you would like to know more please reach out to me on IG and I would be happy to go more in depth with you on this!
Hey Dylan, nice video. I have a question. How do you know the multiples long tail keyword strategy for titles works? I can’t find it anywhere in the documentation of Etsy. Doesn’t the algorithm use broad matching instead of exact string matching for search queries? Whenever I use the Alura SEO optimiser it recommends not repeating any keywords in the title. Would love to hear from you!
I have a question about choosing the right words and arranging them in the way you show in the video. Do you search for these words using platforms that track which of them are searched for and then arrange them in such a way, or do you come up with words yourself and search for specific phrases?
Hi Dylan, Thanks for the video. Would it be better to delete current listing and repost it again implementing your SEO strategy? I was thinking because the current listing has been there for so long with no sales, it might be better to delete it and repost if again so etsy gives a little boost to new listings. What are your thoughts? Do you think it makes a difference between posting a new listing with new titles/SEO and just edit the title/SEO from current listing?
Great question! I think creating a new listing with improved SEO would be a good move. Feel free to DM me on IG if you have any additional questions! instagram.com/dylanjahraus/?hl=en

What are your thoughts on titles for cell phone cases? I see a lot of people do something like iPhone 15 14 13 12 11 SE XR Mini Pro, Plus Max. To me it just seems all over the place but maybe it works?
Hi Dylan. Thank you for the valuable information. I wanted to ask, do you get the long tail keywords from the Etsy search box suggestion or do you come up with these keywords yourself?

i've recenelty been doing this SEO stratergy for my listings but it is very time consuming to try to organise all the words to create multiple long tail searches. Is there a way of doing this that's more time efficient or does it just take practice?
Hey Dylan, seeing this video 3 months old now, just wondering if the now "all-new-gifting-mode" Etsy seems obessed with, changes your thoughts on - "gift for..."? I am seeing a lot of top results that have that included in some manner of SEO, tags, titles...?
Thoughts on dividing keywords with bullet points or bars? Does it hurt, help, or neither? Simply a preference or does Etsy look at it differently when it's divided up?

This is super mindblowing 😮
So glad you found it helpful!
Is this stratregy also perfect for niches? Or it is better to use a combination of long and short tailed- keywords in this cases?
Thanks for commenting! I'm curious, how long have you been running your shop?
OMG, this is like 3D haiku (haiku, not a search term, had to look that one up too). So awesome, thanks again!
You are so welcome!

I come up with them myself! I have been doing it so long it all comes naturally now LOL
@@dylanjahraus Ahhh I see. Thank you for the clarification.
How to use seo for description(the area where we mention about product size, quality, and what they get) does it also helps in ranking on ETSY

How long after changing the titles will it take for Etsy search to pick up again?
It can vary, but I would give it a month!
Brilliant as always! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i've recenelty been doing this SEO stratergy for my listings but it is very time consuming to try to organise all the words to create multiple long tail searches. Is there a way of doing this that's more time efficient or does it just take practice?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention! It's always interesting to see how platforms like Etsy evolve.
Would this same technique work on a standalone website on Wix or Shopify? Awesome content. Thank you.
Nope!
@@_Affiliator That's what I thought. Thanks for the quick response.
Thoughts on dividing keywords with bullet points or bars? Does it hurt, help, or neither? Simply a preference or does Etsy look at it differently when it's divided up?
On the title it will hurt the search-ability because you are limiting the longtail keywords
You are an SEO queen 😊
Thanks😊 How's your shop doing?
@@dylanjahraus thank you for asking, still silence 🤷♀️ started over a week ago
Do you have any idea why you haven't made sales yet?

Yes, commas aren't needed. How's your shop doing right now? Is it going well?
@@dylanjahraus thanks! I’m not getting a lot of traffic even though I try to use good keywords and titles ☹️
hmmm That must be frustrating. Keep refining your keywords and titles, and try enhancing your photos and descriptions to boost your visibility.
is using Same title/tags for several listings harmful?
It will definitely limit your shop's reach as a whole!
Great video thank you.
