At first I wondered why this youtuber was doing all this for us? I had a doubt I thought to myself all the other youtubers do this for business to gain views and therefore money on UA-cam. but here comes video episode 5 😊and there you understand the whole mechanism of all these videos which are there to make money views and in addition to sell you their product (episode 5). When they all tell you in interviews the youtubers (all Etsy coaches, don't forget it!!) that the market is not saturated!! hahahahaaa but of course! they all preach for their parishes! but of course that the market is saturated especially at the level of the pod do not let yourself be fooled !! watch episode 5 they are selling you another product: how to personalize your Pod in one click, in one click of course, but how much the click will you pay ??? and otherwise by the way you don't need neither Everbee nor marmelaid , Alura, all that is business !! 😉
Note: The first 4 words don’t hold more weight in the algorithm, they are just what most customers see on mobile. That’s why Etsy tells us to focus on the first 3-4 words in our titles 😊
In regards to your comment at 9:25 about how having a lower display price will help to improve click-through rates of customers clicking onto a listing, I feel like it would actually go the opposite way. While a customer might click on the listing because they see a cheap price, they may become annoyed when they discover that the cheap price was essentially clickbait. So, even though you got that click, you have an angry customer who ends up leaving because they feel like they were tricked. At least, I know as a customer, I would be annoyed.
Same here. If I click into a listing showing an adult t-shirt, and then find the price if for a child's t-shirt, that shop gets banned. I wont buy from deceptive shops
I am overjoyed to find you in a plethora of UA-camrs giving out information on Etsy. This has been AMAZING information and I have been learning a lot from your videos. And you are very clear and concise, thank you again.
Thank you Stephen! I see it all comes down to common sense and listening to buyers; they are the best teachers. And you are a very good teacher too! Every little detail counts.
As someone who's just recently started doing Print On Demand, I've watched a ton of tutorial videos and I can honestly say that this is one of the BEST I've seen. Clear, concise instructions, step-by-step format and great nuggets of wisdom given along the way. Thank you for this!!
I’ve consumed so much content at this stage! I honestly think yours is the best. You’re so clear with steps to take etc. No fluff or nonsense just actionable information! Thanks 😊
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen on this process. I have been researching for months and have only found a couple of people willing to step out from behind the curtain and give sage advice like this. Thank you! Working so hard on our business and it is a slow process, this information is extremely valuable.
Thanks so much for your transparency. Excellent info. I would love a video where you show how to set up the different price for different sizes and how to set the shipping prices too. And the logic behind your choices.
Great content! Will you be going over the nuts and bolts on how to make mock-ups and use them in your listing? Seems like it's one of the most important things to get right. I'd love to see how you do it.
Thank you for share your knowledge and for being transparent. I am new to Etsy and not having much luck in the organic sales market, just friends. My goal is to one day soon be a success story that will inspire women of 50 to give this a try.
God bless you for taking time out of your valuable schedule to share this information with us when most you tubers are ONLY interested to charge $$$$ to give out this information…thank you so much for sharing…👍👍🙏🙏🙏♥️
OMG! You have just given me information about titles that no one has told me and I watch a LOT of videos! You are awesome for helping us and teaching us for free! Thank you!!! ❤
Well done! My listing titles are off and this strategy of reviewing the Etsy titles at the bottom of the competitor listings is valuable. Thanks Stephen!
We just spent the weekend auditing our store ready for changes to be implemented for Q4 improving SEO, changing sections, Listing Photos and videos and descriptions, and creating new mockup branded listing templates. I bet after this video we will want to change up even more 🙈. I do worry about putting text on the main listing image given that Etsy specifically say not to in their handbook
I did not know that it was not possible to add indications in the main image. I added a "custom name" stamp to all of them. Would you be so kind as to send me a screenshot, please? I couldn’t find it. Thanks
Would it be possible to do a Q&A video to answer questions not addressed in these videos? We could submit questions and you make a video or two to answer them if you have the time.
I want to big you the biggest HUG!!! Thank you!! This video is pure gold!!! I’m still working on the tips from the video prior, but they are already making so much of a difference! Appreciate you!!
Great series! Learning so much. :) One question I do have is about the guarantee you are giving. I understand that Printify does not do refunds just because the customer did not like it. I chatted with them and they told me they only do refunds if the delivery was wrong or damaged. How would you handle refunds since you are guaranteeing those?
Awesome thank you for the info and the visuals to go with. As well as the confirmation not to overthink the areas that matter but not the most, thank you!
You're a genius! I need you to make a video of the providers you recommend or a versus of awkward styles, gelato, printify, printful, etc. Great video!!!
Awesome valuable info, thank you!! Quick question, is the 6.99 shipping for each item? So 2 shirts would be 13.98 shipping? Or is it discounted for each additional item? Thank you!
Thank you Stephen! So you're not interested in checking whether those tags are super high competition (red!) or low/high search? I thought we had better chances of being seen/ranked if we go for those high search/low competition long tail keywords/tags as much as we can (some naturally will be high competition)?
Thank you so much Stephan for the valuable information. I love the way you present everything, so PROFESSIONALLY, and you also make me feel great knowing that you are a successful person who has proven that everything you are teaching us works! I'm eager to watch all the videos so that you can introduce us to your new APP for the project of customizing products. Thank you very much, and congratulations on your successes and all the new things coming into your life. 👏👏🌸🌸
Very informative video Stephen🙂 I would like to ask what is your opinion on having video instead of image as thumbnail. I've been thinking about my mockup strategy a lot lately and this has potential to make you stand out. Very first frame of the video would be basically the picture you would otherwise used and then shots of the product, animated charts etc.
How do you feel about if you offer a design not only on a T-shirt but a sweatshirt or maybe a hoodie putting it all in one listing? Or do you feel put it all in one listing as well as list them separately? Also, in the pricing even though I have a premium subscription with PRINT, if I am still unable to sell a shirt at $17.49. With the EverBee calculator, it puts me in the negative. How is it possible to come up with these prices? I would love to sell the shirt under $20 , but I’m always in the negative with the calculations.
Thank you so much for your valuable advice. Your videos are teaching me so much. I have 3 questions that I hope you will answer: 1) How do you make the daily flash cell appear? I did the flash sale but the cell below the main image does not appear. The count down appears only if you go inside the listing. 2) Duplicating tags is not a waste instead of using different keywords? I never duplicate it, so am I wrong? 3) 6.99 shipping costs also for ornaments? Thank you for your time, Daniele
Hi. What do we put on our Social Proof card if we don't have any reviews yet? Also, why offer a full refund instead of letting them know to "Contact us and we'll make it right for you?" That way, "making it right" could mean a partial refund, replacement by the print provider, or whatever you and your customer come up with together as a solution.
Thank you, Stephen! You have really delivered pure gold here. These are things that make total sense. Of course all this will lead to higher conversions! I wish I would have slowed down a bit at the beginning of my shop and paid attention to my gut feelings to do some of what you've taught. Quick question - for apparel would you still list separate slides with a model wearing a different color variation? I try not to offer too many colors so as to avoid overwhelm. Thanks!
Would you recommend 3 mockups of 3 different color shirts that are popular with the rest of your size charts reviews etc. even though you have 12 colors to choose from
Your help PLEASE.....Can you tell me 1- where do I find the shirt color swatch images for the colors I am selling in a listing to build out my custom color chart for each listing? 2- where do I set up the “ Buy $35 get free shipping” promo? Where do I do that in my Etsy shop? Your example said “. Great video! Thank you so much. I love the “master list” strategy.
How Cool is this video!! actually I kept asking my self during watching, really, are all these information for free? this is crazy, thank you so much for your generosity Stephen! :)
Great video packed with so many helpful tips and valuable info. Does everyone upgrade to Everbee Pro or Growth plan to do the market research for products and niches?
Love these vids, so helpful. Question, for your images, if i am selling say 4 colors, should i have an image for each color? Or say just 1 for lighter colors, 1 for darker colors??
All this information is priceless! Thank you for such a thorough breakdown and complete explanation. You're godsend Stephen! Thank you thank you thank you so much! I get the click moment here!
Fantastic info. It’s going to be a lot of work but the money is worth it. I’m glad you explained about the bars in the listing. I watched several videos say to use that for aesthetics. Prob part of the reason I didn’t get as many sales. Thank you!
What is the most effective method for creating product listings on Etsy? Should I focus on individual listings for each product (e.g., only t-shirts), or should I consider creating combo listings that include multiple items (e.g., t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts)? If combo listings are recommended, how many color options should be offered? Additionally, could you create a video discussing this topic? Considering that Etsy allows only 400 combinations of listing variations, what approach do you suggest?
Hello, I appreciate all that you are contributing with these videos… I found you and I am hooked on all this content. This is an answered prayer and a blessing to me. I have been on Etsy for 12 years, with very few sales during that entire period. I am of the old school and never really investigated thoroughly. This time I want to start all over again. But I would like your opinion about starting from scratch by opening another store or placing my new products (POD) in my store that already has a base created in terms of legality and feedbacks?
Awesome video. Honest question though--with thousands of people following in these exact footstep as they watch this--including myself-- and also eventually using HelloCustom, won't that significantly increase competition for ranking on the first page of Etsy, especially for something popular like mom shirts?
Thank you so much for this great information, it is super helpful! Can I ask your thoughts on whether it would be okay to change titles, tags and descriptions from an SEO standpoint since many of my listings have been up for a while? I'm not getting the traffic that I would like and believe that it's partly because those parts of my listings are weak.
Please talk about return amd exchange policy and how to handle that. And also hot configure the basic settings on etsy and printfy when we are starting up with you.
Thanks for all your great videos Stephen. Such awesome, actionable advice! One question about today's video - you recommend a price of $17.49 for the Bella Canvas 3001. However, following your profitability calculator recommendations, I worked out that even with $6.99 shipping, I could only make 5% profit on that. I calculated total revenue of $24.48 for the shirt and shipping fee. Then in terms of costs, the wholesale cost of the shirt is $12, Shipping $4.52, Etsy 6.5% fee $1.59, Etsy payments 3% fee $0.73, Etsy payments transaction fee $0.25, Listing fee $0.20, Etsy advertising at 13% $3.18, Customisation fee (HelloCustom) $0.74. That adds up to $6.70 additional costs on top of the $16.52 wholesale cost, leaving only $1.24 profit (5%). It fails your $5 per item profit target. You'd have to be charging $21.25 + $6.99 shipping to make $5 profit. (Or alternatively I guess not do Etsy advertising and charge $18.07 for the shirt.
Or, you could use that shirt color/size combination as a loss leader to drive sales to your shop which would in turn, increase your ranking so that you could get more organic sales at your higher color/size combination SKU's.
Thank you so much Stephen 🎉 i really appreciate you sharing your expertise!! Wondering about where you get your beautiful mockup templates? I joined with Placeit but dont really like the bella canvas ones compared to the ones you showed. Thanks again 😊😊
Great video! I’m just planning to open my first POD Etsy shop and your information is very helpful. And I have a question: what if 1 customer orders few items? F.e. a t-shirt and a tumbler. He will pay for shipping twice? Don’t fully get how it works 🤔 Thanks!
I have gained more from watching your journey than I have from all of the gurus on UA-cam. Thank you so much for being so transparent.
Thanks so much!
where are you now bro? how much have you earned?
Dude these are the very best videos I have watched and I have watched A LOT of videos. Thank so much!!!!
