hey shawna, i constantly struggle with seo, i never know which tags to choose from everbee, how do i know how many of the 13 should be more broad and how many should be more specific? not only that but whneever i analyze a listings tags that is a best seller it shows only broad tags, are these even any good? how are these designs that are best sellers getting away with using such broad tags with such high competition?
I’m so frustrated. I have a listing with 319 views and 22 favorites in the last 30 days with only 2 sales. I’ve lowered the price, I’ve changed the mock-up and nothing.. UGH!! Any suggestions??
I’m fairly new to Etsy, can’t help much but something I tried was to put my items at breaking even and became a best seller in 1.5 month, then I boosted the price to profit earning.
Hey there! So next time DON'T change your main mock up photo or SEO! That was helping get the clicks! I have something right now with over a 1000 views and 88 favorites... 2 sales!!!! The niche will be in full swing soon so I am hoping it starts to sell! It has small print on it and so that is always a problem... people click in the read it but not necessarily to purchase. I had to take it off of ADS for this reason. I just went in as a customer to make sure the drop down menus looked right and that nothing was messed up or strange that would prevent someone from buying. Trying break even pricing is worth a shot! BUT what you really need to be doing right now is LOADING your shop with more listings in that niche! DOUBLE DOWN! I hope this helps!

I think it takes time to get used to using a specific protocol with Etsy and it can feel so foreign when you're new. I've been at this for 8 months and still, I don't follow everything correctly every time! I say all this because I have discovered that we need to be patient with the process and just keep at it. Hey there Charlotte! That sounds super cool! I don't have any experience with this type of Etsy shop but I will give you my thoughts and just balance those with the expertise you already have here! You still want to get your SEO dialed in. My design tips don't apply directly to you but I would still be studying other similar best selling crystal listings to my own. What colors and sizes are in those best sellers? Photography is going to be super important for you rather than mock ups obviously. I would be studying the best selling listings and paying attention to the types of setups they have for their pictures. The props they use and the overall vibe of the photos. Put your photos next to them... are they as well lit and as eye catching? Just always keep working while keeping that in mind so everything just keeps improving with each listing! Hey there! Instead of renewing I would duplicate them and put them out as new so they have a fresh chance. And I would only put all that effort to update the SEO and try a different pricing strategy... if I really felt they were trendy designs that were based on rock solid research. Hope this helps!

Hey again! So you should only be changing one thing about the listing when doing an A/B test. So if you are doing pricing you would have one at regular pricing and one at break even. When the break even pricing sells a could times you start raising the price only in that listing. If the profit pricing one sells you don't do anythins to either listing. Hope this helps!
Hi there! You definitely don't want to recreate any one else's design! But if you want to make money you have to make your design decisions based off of your market research. Hi Shawna! This is a nice reminder to go back to basics! It's easy to get lazy after a while and think you can skip a few steps 😂 one thing I have come across though is realizing that while I was raising prices on the listing that gained more traction I had forgotten to do so for its twins (where I copied and just changed the main thumbnail) we want to raise prices on all listings of the same design even if they're not selling right? Or do we deactivate the ones that aren't selling once one listing becomes "established". I hope that makes sense ❤

I have always wondered which is better, spending a couple hours doing one perfect listing or spending a few hours uploading 10 good listings. Hi! I would say there's no such thing as a perfect listing, just focus on making good innovatives designs after you've done some research about what is working on the niche you're getting it. I'm not Shawna, but I hope it helps ❤
Hey there! @2012iaru gave great advice here! I really couldn't say it better myself! You do need volume to make real money on Etsy BUT that volume has to be comprised of lots of quality designs. The research should be the most time consuming part... the designing... not as time consuming! And your time is best used if you make numerous designs from your research session. Hope this helps!

Hi Shawna, i have a question, in etsy i publish my baby tees in the category Crop tops so adult women can find instead of the category “child shirts”. I am afraid women wont find it otherwise. A customer says that is false advertisement. Despite i publish my table of measurements and mention everywhere they should pay attention to the measurements because it is a baby tee. I am afraid she give sa bad review but i really dont find this an excuse for a refund. Any ideas? :( should i change the category??

Hey there! I never offer a color I don't show my design on and I do often just offer one color or two like in those bach mock ups. Hope this helps!

Hi Shawna! This is a nice reminder to go back to basics! It's easy to get lazy after a while and think you can skip a few steps 😂 one thing I have come across though is realizing that while I was raising prices on the listing that gained more traction I had forgotten to do so for its twins (where I copied and just changed the main thumbnail) we want to raise prices on all listings of the same design even if they're not selling right? Or do we deactivate the ones that aren't selling once one listing becomes "established". I hope that makes sense ❤
Hey there! I just raise prices on the one that is gaining traction! I don't spend time tracking the others down... I spend that time on my next brilliant design! Hope that helps!

I appreciate your videos, Shawna- how clearly you teach and your ability to empathize with the struggles and sometimes just confusion - I didn’t start in apparel but am branching out into it now as I see its potential and it is a whole other beast in certain ways! And yes, sometimes the designs that took so little effort compared to others simply take off so much more quickly and make sales and I’m like - I wish they could all be this simple! Hi there! Doing it on one is more of a Loss Leader strategy which I also use but with break even pricing I do it on all the sizes. Hope this helps!

I have always wondered which is better, spending a couple hours doing one perfect listing or spending a few hours uploading 10 good listings. A lot of people say you need volume on Etsy to make good money. What is your take on this? I have very limited time and am not sure which direction to take. Your videos are amazing as always! Thanks!
Hi! I would say there's no such thing as a perfect listing, just focus on making good innovatives designs after you've done some research about what is working on the niche you're getting it. I'm not Shawna, but I hope it helps ❤
Hey there! @2012iaru gave great advice here! I really couldn't say it better myself! You do need volume to make real money on Etsy BUT that volume has to be comprised of lots of quality designs. The research should be the most time consuming part... the designing... not as time consuming! And your time is best used if you make numerous designs from your research session. Hope this helps!

Hi Shawna, i have a question, in etsy i publish my baby tees in the category Crop tops so adult women can find instead of the category “child shirts”. I am afraid women wont find it otherwise. A customer says that is false advertisement. Despite i publish my table of measurements and mention everywhere they should pay attention to the measurements because it is a baby tee. I am afraid she give sa bad review but i really dont find this an excuse for a refund. Any ideas? :( should i change the category??

I know we can find video editors on Fiverr or UpWork, but it’s nearly impossible to find a good one at a decent price. Who do you use? Name of editor or company would be greatly appreciated! Your B-roll clips are custom made to your content and that takes dozens upon dozens of hours to edit (I am video editor!). I no longer have time to edit my videos, so I really need to hire a video editor like yours! Please help! 🥹
