OP of the first story is a good lad for getting their nephews into PC gaming. Getting a PC, even a starter one, was a massive thing for me and I always love seeing people get introduced in a similar fashion! That Karen can buy their spoiled brat a PC their self if they deserve it so much.
Also it sounds like he might have met Karen maybe once or twice before this. Why would he drop $700 on a kid he doesnt know. Sounds like he already had a good relationship with HIS nephews. Im glad the Karen of my family has been cut off for years
Me personally, a gaming PC was something my parents would've never gotten me so easily. A gaming PC for me was pretty much a christmas, a birthday, and another christmas, and when I got one, it was the most awesome thing ever. And I was very thankful for it, because... not everyone would get a gaming PC due to how expensive they are.
I got a pc but all the ones i had were horrible, and i might get a gaming pc soon Edit: but listen my parents funds might not be the best so i guess what i have is good enough
The first story: OP laid down a boundary and entitled mom as well as entitled kid couldn't handle it. I doubt very much this made an impact on the way she will raise her child. I'm sure, she will paint OP as a mean adult who didn't want him to be happy. I've seen it. I've also been in OP's shoes. One day entitled mom will wonder what went wrong when she's dealing with the overgrown man-child she has raised.
I think it is great that your nephews and nieces loved the presents you made, and prefered that over what the spoilt kid got, because you made it for them. They sound like grateful kids.
For the nephews, I would have handed Karen cash in the amount almost equal to what she spent on them. If she only spent $5, hand her $6 and point out that you spent more on blood and non blood relations than she spent on actual blood relatives
Good plan although if I were you I would go and give them a singular cent as they wouldn't care about the blood and non blood thing and I would give the cent to the child with a smile on my face and say go buy yourself something nice
That entitled Karen in the first story is also a hypocrite because how can she only spend like up to ten bucks on the other kids while also turning around and expecting someone else to pay up to $700 for her kid?!
I often wonder if Mother raised me incorrectly. I mean, she tells me to murder any trespassers to my lake, and I do, so that's gotta be messed up. Then I hear stories like this...
In my country if you want to run any kind of business (like being lumberjack) you have to have a three year vocational degree with an apprenticeship partly done through in school and ob the job training. Story 1: I’m gonna go ahead and act like the entitled Karen and her hell spawn don’t exist and that whole situation never happened and just be happy for the nephews who totally deserved those PCs
Reminds me of one of the last christmases I ever celebrated many years ago, my mom INSISTED I had to go to the great uncles place instead of working. I get there, and while everyone went nuts over my sister, I was getting odd looks. My sister got tons of stuff, and my gift? An open tin of Walgreens cookies with half the cookies eaten.

@@TrippyChloe you're doing better than me. This latest holiday, I recieved only a good bottle of bourbon from one of my clients...and I rarely ever drink.
First story makes me think of Christmas 1969. (story told to me by my aunt) A little backstory...my father LOVED Christmas, as in the house lit up like Christmas Vacation LOVED Christmas. This year, his sister and mother were struggling financially and weren't going to be able to get my cousin (sister's son) any presents for Christmas. And my father and mother were having serious marital problems at this time. My father gave my mother $50 to buy presents for my cousin. (Note: my cousin and I are both almost three at the time). $50 in 1969 was able $400 in 2023 money. Christmas Day.....my cousin and I are sitting at the tree, I'm opening one of my presents when my mother hands my cousin a flat box and says Merry Christmas. My mother has this devilish grin on her face. My cousin opens the gift and it was a suit. A small suit for a three-year-old. The price tag was still on the coat $48. yeah, my mother spent the whole amount on one outfit that he will outgrow in six months. My father was livid. But he kept his composure. He went to the tree and took the tags off a few gifts meant for me to give to my cousin. I didn't notice because I was happy with what I already got. After the gifts were open, he hugged me, my cousin, my aunt, and my grandmother. He then said I'm leaving before I do something I regret, while staring at my mother. My father didn't return until December 30 and handed my mother divorce papers. That act of cruelty in his eyes was the last straw. The saddest part about this whole ordeal was this was my father's last Christmas. He was killed by a drunk driver nine months later in 1970.
The first story reminds me of a Christmas I don’t really remember but know about through my other family members telling me about it. When I was about 5 my family got invited to celebrate Christmas at my grandparents house. I’m surprised we went because my sister was a baby and we had to fly to visit. My grandpa insisted that my parents didn’t have to buy/ bring gifts and that he and his wife would cover everything. I remember getting a big doll, sledding with my youngest uncle, and visiting my other uncle and seeing his then gfs dogs. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I found out that all the gifts my siblings and I got were from dollar/ bargain stores while my youngest uncle gifts were all big brands he also got way more then my siblings and I combined. My uncle was thankfully not spoiled brat and was always nice to me and my siblings. My mom was incredibly upset but hid it well from us cause again I only have positive memories of this Christmas. Thankfully my youngest uncle was not blamed for his parents actions and I honestly have the best relationship with him then any of my extended family members.
As a groundsman for a tree removal company story 2 fills me with so much dread, I've had to clean up trees like that and when they talked about not trimming the canopy, my fear got turned up to 11
Story 2: In the early '00s my own dad and myself used to do wood cutting, including tree removal, as a side job. He wasn't bonded to do this because the insurance for the bond would have been too expensive. But my dad knew how much of a liability that would be so just would refuse to cut down any trees where there was a house. Sometimes a customer would lie on the phone about the job only for us to get there and find out that they wanted us to cut a tree down right next to their house. Some of them would get really pissy about it too when we refused. We eventually my dad and I got to see exactly why it was a good idea to not take on those jobs when on my dad's associated took a risky job and ended up dropping a tree on a customers house. Turns out the customer had a tree with some sort of infection that made it very weak in one spot so the whole thing just shattered when he started falling it. Ended up smashing up a customer's garage and his expensive car inside of it. The wood cutter made the customer signed a waiver, but the customer's lawyer still sued the wood cutter.
In the first one, I'm too nice, but I would have said, sry kid these gifts were already prearranged months ago by their parents. I don't have anything else at the moment. If the mother did her rant, I would have given her a shopping list of parts and said I'd put it together if she purchased them. If she continued, I'd make up some story that's what my brother did and why does she think she deserves to put me out of pocket financially. Then I might have concluded with the fact these gifts were not part of the secret Santa and there was obviously a price difference between those.
The roof tree story ... why didn't they call the police? He knew exactly what the job was but did it anyway without insurance or any way to pay you back? Dude big hell no. Pretty sure this guy doesn't have the papers or anything. Big 911 call there.
The kid in first story is understandably disappointed that all the other kids got a PC. If he was young enough, he probably wouldn't under stand that he was different then the other kids.
The second story really bothered me because I used to work for a landscaping/tree cutting company and for any tree we did we cut in pieces and had at least 2 people in the tree and one person on the roof if it was near the clients house.

#1 - Screw the entitled Karen but it probably would have been better if OP had done a separate Xmas celebration at his Brother’s house. That way, the Karen’s kid could have only heard about how awesome the PCs were.
For the first story I find the parents who are buying these expensive gifts for their nephew AND tolerating the dollar store stuff for their own kids is what pisses me off the most
lmao this reminds me of my uncle (yeah I am the niece, and yet..). He visited my house, came into my room without my permission, and saw that I have a PS, 2 PCs, and a Nintendo Switch. I'm a 30 single woman with decent job and double degrees and since he thinks I have my life ""easy""", he started guilt-tripping me to give my gaming systems to my "beloved cousins". And when I refused, he offered to buy them with 200 dollars LOL I told him, "the game in the consoles themselves are worth than 2k" and that shut him up. I wonder why these people think they could just ask someone to gift their kids something...
That is ridiculous that the kid gets a brand new switch and COMPLAINS like bro i had to WORK to save up enough for my own vr a pc and a switch and this kid just snaps and he gets all of that
Lol karen reminds me of my 5 yr nephew.. he said its my birthday month. I get whatever i want. I laugh and reply its my birthday month to.. and i get spend my money how ever i like.. 😂😂
Story 1: Wow, that Karen and her kid don't even deserve coal for christmas, much less a new PC or anything along those lines. I dont know how old that kid is, but he's definitely going to be a demon when he gets older if he's being spoiled like that. Also, to just demand things like that, when you give small things is totally ridiculous and unreasonable. Now i get if you dont have a lot and can only give what you can, but to only spend like 4 bucks and expect people to drop hundreds, if not more, on you and/or your family is just stupid. Glad the OP wants nothing further to do with this person. Story 2: This is why you assume anything. One of my old bosses said: "Assumptions are the root of all mess ups." Hearing no insurance just made me cringe before i heard the rest. Good thing that the home insurance helped cover the repairs. I know i wouldn't be taking any recommendations from those co-workers anymore, or do some very extensive research. Story 3: Uggghhh, stuff like this is why i hate working golf and country clubs. They are among the worst. Hopefully the boss that siad that they can't used the "members" doors got into trouble from the GM, and if not, then the malicious compliance just wasn't worth it.
Ah yes. Tell karen to get someone else to buy it then get upset when someone else buys it. I completely agree with OP, i just find this little detail funny
Second story: this is exactly what homeowner's insurance is for. If you own a home, get some. If you can't afford it when you buy a house, put off buying a house until you can.
1st story: GREATEST UNCLE EVER! But guys, just one really LITTLE advice. I was raised in a latin country. Families not rarely are very close, and end up sharing lots of stuff. So when we will give a personal gift, we try to do it more privately. If is small take the person aside, give them and ask to open at home. If it´s bigger... give them at home. I know it may sound stingy or inconvenient, but it avoids a lot of situations... like a pretty common example: kids breaking other´s new toys just out of jealousy. Sometimes the anxiety to give the gift blurs our thinking, but we have to be aware that not everyone is self-aware.. hhehe.
did he build those computer because that is some hard work im so glad he stood up for himself im also surprised that Karen dident take a pc forcefully form his nephews.
Tbh first story I had a feeling there were 4 children that were their nephews before they even said so I had this weird feeling so it was very bizarre 😂😂😂something I didn’t think I would actually guess correctly 😂😂😂 but good thing that Karen was put in her place! Those children deserved those pc’s because they weren’t spoiled like their cousin was and these kids were actually grateful unlike their spoiled cousin
This is just random but the nephew is probably got a good amount of BFF that they’re home that kid just got a lot because his mother spoiled him and it was his home They should’ve actually gotten something they wanted from their aunts and uncles.
me as kid: I want a gameboy dad: come back to me when your in the top ten months later... distribution of grades dad sees my name on the chalkboard next to the number "1" dad: okay son come with me went home that day with a pokemon limited edition gameboy that's how you earn it
Okay hear me out in 2nd story. No its not the OPs fault or Jim's exactly. He thought it would've worked that way, but it didn't. And to the OPs partner, its not their fault either they may be going full karen mode. But remeber a tree just had fell in their living space i would me mad as well, admit it
For the first story whenever the kid gets a gift after ask her very sadly if you can get (insert expensive gift) and then when you don't get it smugly tell them if that was you there'd be a fit
1st story: ok I sometimes love getting into arguments with entitled people just to blow off steam from others. In that situation I wouldn't have had the arguments infront of the kids but I would have had an argument. Every single gathering.
Reading the title of story 2, I have a tip for you guys. Find a local log trucking company, and figure out if they have a self loading log truck (yes this is highly important). If they do, call them and ask if they'd be willing to do a personal job, if they say yes at that point, give them your phone number, address of the place you want trees removed, and name. If you're wondering why I mentioned the self loader, no company that doesn't have one will come out for a few trees because they'd need to bring a loader, log truck, and lowboy out there which can double or triple the time and cost of doing this. Whereas a self loader just needs the truck and an experienced driver to operate it. If you're wondering where the wood will end up, unless you specifically ask to keep it, it will go to a nearby mill. I can't say what mill because everywhere is different, and each mill takes a different kind of wood (some take only cedar, only firs, etc etc.) TLDR: Get a logger, they do this for a living, and it'll be worth the cost.
*Story 1:* Wow! How spoilt does one have to be to refuse to take no for an answer! You have all you need, and more, what the hell more do you need? That's beyond selfish.
A regular mother would be like: Sweetie its fine look many things we got for you! We can get a computer on your birthday. Not giving other children scraps while demanding a whole computer for your child because you think he deserves it.
When he said “ if you like, am I the jerk, you should check out am I the genius” made me cry😭 For those who don’t get it, am I the genius got taken Down
Damn I give my nephews gifts for birthdays Christmas yada yada than if they bring a friend 100 dollar bill and some snacks I will never ever give somebody’s kid anything if they are just spoiled hell to the no

Lol karen reminds me of my 5 yr nephew.. he said its my birthday month. I get whatever i want. I laugh and reply its my birthday month to.. and i get spend my money how ever i like.. 😂😂
OP in the first story is the best rich uncle ive ever heard of. Support from me.
I’ll never stop listening to the Karen stories 😻
Good job man. You handled that so fucking well lol.
I like the imitation of the kids voice 😂😂😂😂😂😂
2:48 2:49 2:52 2:54 ugh no computer for you brats
From now on, the family from story 1 shall be known as...The Dursley's.
Country clubs are the epitome of everything wrong in this country.
That club problem, I'd be telling that "Leader" to go something with himself
Ah yes. Tell karen to get someone else to buy it then get upset when someone else buys it. I completely agree with OP, i just find this little detail funny
I really love your voice. I could listening you all the time.
The first story, I would never invite them over to my house ever again. Ever
Second story: this is exactly what homeowner's insurance is for. If you own a home, get some. If you can't afford it when you buy a house, put off buying a house until you can.
Can you even buy a house without getting insurance? I'm pretty sure a bank won't lend without proof of insurance.
I love these I'm a huge fan don't stop making them

Sounds like pay day to me😂
1st story: GREATEST UNCLE EVER!
Sometimes the anxiety to give the gift blurs our thinking, but we have to be aware that not everyone is self-aware.. hhehe.
My mom didn't show up to my school when I got assaulted
Damn bro….
did he build those computer because that is some hard work im so glad he stood up for himself im also surprised that Karen dident take a pc forcefully form his nephews.
Story 2. It was an honest mistake. Just make Jim help repair the house for having the tree fall into it.
Others: Thinks about the story
Me: Car go vroom vroom
2nd story summer is exactly why most of those estimates were so high. Winter would mean no canopy as well as dried out wood.
me as kid: I want a gameboy
dad: come back to me when your in the top ten
months later...
distribution of grades
dad sees my name on the chalkboard next to the number "1"
dad: okay son come with me
went home that day with a pokemon limited edition gameboy
that's how you earn it
Okay hear me out in 2nd story. No its not the OPs fault or Jim's exactly. He thought it would've worked that way, but it didn't. And to the OPs partner, its not their fault either they may be going full karen mode. But remeber a tree just had fell in their living space i would me mad as well, admit it
Loved the first story
And while I just sit there eating popcorn (nice vid btw)
For the first story whenever the kid gets a gift after ask her very sadly if you can get (insert expensive gift) and then when you don't get it smugly tell them if that was you there'd be a fit
1st story: ok I sometimes love getting into arguments with entitled people just to blow off steam from others. In that situation I wouldn't have had the arguments infront of the kids but I would have had an argument. Every single gathering.
I like how this video has captions :)
I can't say what mill because everywhere is different, and each mill takes a different kind of wood (some take only cedar, only firs, etc etc.)
TLDR: Get a logger, they do this for a living, and it'll be worth the cost.
story 1: can i join the family :) the nephews seem nice
So.. some of these stories are.. just a little "out there," yknow?
But this one I can definitely believe, referring to story 1 with to computers
The voice for the Karen 😂😂
op in the first story was such a good uncle, entitled kid already has a switch and some games
Brooooo the first one is making my blood boil. Sue her for assault
*Story 1:* Wow! How spoilt does one have to be to refuse to take no for an answer! You have all you need, and more, what the hell more do you need? That's beyond selfish.
A regular mother would be like:
Sweetie its fine look many things we got for you! We can get a computer on your birthday.
Not giving other children scraps while demanding a whole computer for your child because you think he deserves it.
When he said “ if you like, am I the jerk, you should check out am I the genius” made me cry😭
For those who don’t get it, am I the genius got taken Down
(For the first story) it’s not just toxic it’s hypocritical expecting nice things and in return give basically nothing
I need the game in the FIRST story background PLS
Damn I give my nephews gifts for birthdays Christmas yada yada than if they bring a friend 100 dollar bill and some snacks I will never ever give somebody’s kid anything if they are just spoiled hell to the no
