    A little tip on the compositing, kill the lightwrap unless the background is literally a light. None of the floor should be bleeding around his legs. Lightwrap only happens when a bright light hits the lens and causes a glow to wrap around the foreground. Other than that it is impressive you managed to composite in Blender!

      That's where HDRI balls comes to the rescue. You just need to match the lighting to the real word ball and you're set. (Not easy as it sounds tough)

    Ive been trying to soften my characters edge for a few weeks now in blender. I bought the character in as image as planes and through a dilate erode in front of it no luck lol. So you can only use dilate erode when the character is keyed or is a mask? I roto brushed my character in ae then image as planes but cant figure out how to soften the edges against my digital set. awesome videos and may have learned the answer here thanks!

    Does this means that I don't have to buy Greenscreen and film my short film or scene in my living room, even though the camera would be moving around the actors ? I would only have to light my actors properly and erase them with the background as you did with the background. Thanks !

    • @my3darts

      You need use green screen, something if you want to remove background you can use this approach, but using green screen is better than rotoscoping.

    I always think, if you're going to tell someone how to do something in Blender, you should do everything you can in Blender. This includes rotoscoping, tracking, and compositing. Frankly I'd be interested in learning how to do everything in Blender because it's free, and it's fairly full-featured -- and if some things aren't as good as other software you can encourage development in a certain aspect of Blender by doing cool stuff with it.

    • @my3darts
      @my3darts  4 місяці тому

      Sure I will do everything I can, using Blender, when I was started learning CGI, I found Blender.

      Blender's native rotoscoping tool is masking tool, in vfx studios, they will have 10 to 15 rotoscoping artist to cut the video frame by frame.
      As a Individual 3d artist, it is impossible to do rotoscope a video with 250 frames, it will take days to rotoscope in blender
      So, After effects having a A I tool called rotobrush
      Davinci resolve also having a A I tool called magic mask
      But Blender don't have any A I tool, so we need to approach a external A I tool to do rotoscope.

    Can you tell me what is the best camera setting for doing tracking in Blender ? and can i do it on my iphone 13 ?

    • @my3darts
      @my3darts  4 місяці тому +1

      Sure, the settings may change based on the video, if your video is moving fast, increase search size, if your video is low quality increase pattern size, if you do 1 or 2 time you can easily do it.

      @@my3darts how about your camera setting ? like shutter speed, iso, (f) diafragma and focal length ?

    • @my3darts
      @my3darts  4 місяці тому

      It is not a matter, shutter speed, deals with motion blur, you can enable motion blur in the render settings, you control the shutter speed,
      Blender will automatically find the fecal length,

    Pretty great work! Though, I believe the sunlight is emanating from precisely the wrong direction. If the character is illuminated from the right, the sunlight should cast shadows/illuminate (on) the left side of the scene.. Still an awesome creation!

    • @my3darts
      @my3darts  4 місяці тому

      Thank you, so much, 🙂 in this scene the wall is too high, so the character can't receive the enough of sunlight directly, but the walls are metalic so the walls can reflect light, that's why the wall in the right side becomes the lighting source.
