Battlefront 2 dropped the pay to win elements at day 1 of the release. I bought the deluxe edition, and while game isn't perfect. It was worth every penny

Well in fairness one was written by writers that give us an original and creative story every time, whilst the other was written by a lazy intern who just copied and pasted the plot of another cop drama and changed the names in order to get it done in the first day
They even both have a protagonist named Nick, the difference being that in Zootopia, Nick is a "criminal" turned cop, and in Hardline, Nick is a cop turned criminal. A vice versa if I ever heard one.
That would be amazing! Imaginate open world futuristic game were you can use sticky gloves or something from cartoons and can climb on walls and knock out people! That would be amazing!
When Joe mentioned the level with the tank battle that gave me an idea. What if there was a level where you and a team of cops had to take on a drug lord yet all of a sudden he pulls out a fully armed battle tank and you have no weapons or equipment that can stop or slow him down. so the whole level is you sneaking behind buildings and different forms of cover that keep getting blown away surviving by the skin of your teeth frantically searching the surrounding area for something anything that could save you from the tank. That actually would have been a really interesting intense exciting level.
Honestly, they should've made it into a Battlefield: Sicarios, where you are playing as US or Bolivian Special Forces against a Drug Cartel that's armed to the teeth. Something like Ghost Recon: Wildlands would do nicely.

battlefield 5 still kinda sucks. i've hated the game since buying the ultimate edition on launch for a variety of reasons. i'm hoping that the pacific theatre update will save the game, but even then..
feglesocially it definitely does not suck. It a a massive step up from hardline and on par with bf1. The maps and guns are all gorgeous. There’s not a lot of content but what’s there is great. I am waiting for he pacific theater update as well. I loved the marita one. Tbh maybe it’s because I got in on a sale for like 15 bucks but I’ve loved every hours I’ve been playing of it

Mr. Raccond LA Noire is a story based and linear game but GTA is open World he probably means a cop game that’s open world like GTA. And besides he reviewed and played it when it came out.

Ahsoka Tano Gaming. And then there's the casino added to GTA 5. Which, at first, isn't much of a big deal, until you realize that you could spend real money on in-game cash which can also be used to gamble at the casino.
On that note: crocodiles and I believe also alligators have a very strong bite down, but their muscles to open their mouths are actually very weak. Which means once you grab its snout, you probably won't have a Problem closing its mouth. 0/10 biological realism, I am very disappointed
Actually, it is realistic. You can see while he's being attacked he holds down it's mouth for awhile. But obviously trying to keep a alligators' mouth closed in the water is an entirely different experience to on land. Even on land once it starts struggling you're not gonna be able to do anything without tape

See, the problem wasn't the AI. She clearly had no trouble engaging. The problem is the damage divider they put on any enemy you can see to ensure you always get the final shot to make you feel powerful. Wargames really need to move away from this, cause they're not supposed to be about being the only badass among supposedly equally capable soldiers
Someone needs to make a modern version of LA Noire, but with a little more action. Like you start out assisting CSI type cases and it eventually builds to Die Hard levels. All the while, you'd have an Arkham City type open world where you can solve small and medium cases.

This game's single player was actually not bad. I enjoyed it for what it was. I enjoyed the change of scenery from military to crime. I understand Joe disappointment though. He wanted a CSI type of game but it's more akin to BAD BOYS. I agree with Joe. This should have been it's own IP and not associated with Battlefield.
Zandergar I personally thought it was ok but I do believe battlefield 4 was better than battlefield hardline in every way accept the multiplayer launch so I honestly never really seen the point of playing this after I would say around 12 hours

Whats dumbed down about Bad Company? You know it was the first game with destructable buildings, right? Especially Bad Company 2 was awesome in multiplayer - and the campaign was decent, for a Battlefield game. There are too many good alternatives for it to crash where as in the early 80s that wasn't the case. Here's the problem; the industry was killed, resurrected, then brought back to life... And now it's starting to stink again. It won't die, it's a zombie, but it's a fate maybe worse than death. The industry may never stop coming up with new ways to fuck the customer over and with an army of fanboys defending it, why stop? In 1982 they didn't have shitty DRM or content cut out of games and sold later. We did have shitty, unplayable games in 1982 but these were games that were rushed out in about a month whereas we have so-called "Triple A" publishers cranking games for their IPs once a year and they arguably as damaging to the industry as the shit games were from 1982. Except that this industry won't die, it will hit rock bottom eventually if people don't stop defending these companies and continue to pre-order video games. That's the saddest part, because the industry crashing was THE BEST thing to happen because when Nintendo rose up to bring video games back, they learned from all the mistakes up to that point. I want another crash to happen, even if it's for a year, so companies would stop fucking us over and people would finally wake the hell up.

12:34 Wait a minute, I notice a big flaw about the Crocodile Attack QTE. The seen shows the Cop trying to prevent the Croc from opening his mouth (hence the QTE for it), but truth be told he wouldn't have this problem. Fun fact, while Croc's have powerful muscles to close there Jaws, there muscles that open there Jaws however are extremely week. So week in fact that you can just put a rubber band over the snout to prevent the Jaws from opening. Unless the cop had the strength of Spongebob, he would not have any problem keeping that Croc's mouth closed.
Not only that, crocs are ambush predators. Either the cop wouldn't have had time to react, or the crocodile would have just given up and gone back to sleep.
It broke his spirit because it's STAR WARS N' it was highly highly highly anticipated, plus he was hoping that the DLC practices from Hardline wouldn't carry on to SW Battlefront, which they did. All in all, Battlefront made him angrier.

If I want a good heist game I go play Payday 2 or GTA If I want a good competitive FPS game I go play Counter-Strike If I want a good military shooter game I go play Bad Company 2 or Arma III If I want a good racing game I play Next Car Game: Wreckfest or Burnout: Paradise If I want a good cop game I go play LA: Noire or any Rainbow Six game There are literally no reasons to Get Battlefield Hardline when there are all these games that do what it tries to do but better.
ASCG5000 Well, Rainbow Six is more of a SWAT game. If you need a good cop game, True Crime (both Streets of LA and New York) will do and that's saying something since they're both PS2 era games.
ASCG5000 you will be amazed at the graphics, and superb animations with amazing surround sound in HD with little voice acting and top of the notch physics. HOT DIGGITY DAM
ASCG5000 True Crime really is one of the more underrated third person shooters. It's one of the first games to implement a karma system (this was before Infamous made that popular). You can be a good or bad cop depending on your actions and you get different endings (and even different missions) based on your affiliation.
mario atef BF3 > BF4 (in my humble opinion) :P but as a fan of the Battlefield series as well BF2, BF Bad Company 2, and BF1942 were the better three though..... BF3 and BF4 went too far into the Call of Duty realm - at least that's what it looked like to me.

Great review Joe, I agree with a lot of what you said! What is also worth to mention is that not only the maps are badly designed for competitive play. EA even had the nerve to put *Competitive Play Support* behind the _"Premium Exclusive"_ pay wall. Both the SP and the MP do not know what they want to be. They try to be like _"The Wire"_ and _"Bad Boys"_ at the same time. It would have been much better for the game if they would have decided on one tone and sticked to that. Bottom line is that there is a lot of potential in #Hardline , which they did not use because they played it too safe. They also shoehorned too much of the "Battlefield" mechanics into Hardline, which just make no sense there. If they would have deviated more from Battlefield then this would have been a game that I could have seen myself play a lot. But as it stands right now, its just a game that I play every now and then. It's a shame.

BattleField Hardline is good but EA could have done better. Put more effort in it, us gamers need more next generation games. GAME IDEA!: Cop RPG with character creation and unique dialogue options. You can be a good cop or a crooked cop, whatever you want. You can be a beat cop, a motorcycle cop, a detective, or maybe a member of the swat team. You get a partner, or maybe you're a K9 unit! You can patrol around, respond to calls, take down crack dens, but you have to get legitimate evidence in order to bust a drug dealer. Like a cop simulator basically, but with RPG elements and some sort of karma system.
Quick Attack Films That sounds like a fantastic idea, but I would need more of a concrete story, maybe something where the decisions you make throughout the story, as in how you handle the case(es) affect the way the game ends.

Same here. These last couple of years have been horrible and not a single game has impressed me at all. I'm literally scared to buy games anymore since they're most likely going to be ass or completely disappointing. At least I can keep more money in my pocket. lol
When it comes to getting hyped for things I usually follow publishers, developers, or others who have a good track record when it comes to games. So when it comes to getting hyped I don't like seeing publishers like EA or Ubisoft. Those publishers aren't the best at keeping their promises.

Other reviewers have been just as critical as Joe-- Frankie1080p on PC also was but those three most definitely been bought. Videogamer tv dot com have been really negative of it too. So many UA-camrs also been promoting Hardline so many are rotten it seems. Angry Joe and Frankie1080p only ones that actually been honest.

When Joe mentioned the level with the tank battle that gave me an idea. What if there was a level where you and a team of cops had to take on a drug lord yet all of a sudden he pulls out a fully armed battle tank and you have no weapons or equipment that can stop or slow him down. so the whole level is you sneaking behind buildings and different forms of cover that keep getting blown away surviving by the skin of your teeth frantically searching the surrounding area for something anything that could save you from the tank. That actually would have been a really interesting intense exciting level.
Wish more of those levels are in the campaign. Just showing a more crazy drug war with cops dealing with people doing crazy shit.
Honestly, they should've made it into a Battlefield: Sicarios, where you are playing as US or Bolivian Special Forces against a Drug Cartel that's armed to the teeth. Something like Ghost Recon: Wildlands would do nicely.

There are too many good alternatives for it to crash where as in the early 80s that wasn't the case. You didn't have good indie games and tons of information on which games would suck or a bajillion shitty clones of games. Here's the problem; the industry was killed, resurrected, then brought back to life... And now it's starting to stink again. It won't die, it's a zombie, but it's a fate maybe worse than death. The industry may never stop coming up with new ways to fuck the customer over and with an army of fanboys defending it, why stop? In 1982 they didn't have shitty DRM or content cut out of games and sold later. We did have shitty, unplayable games in 1982 but these were games that were rushed out in about a month whereas we have so-called "Triple A" publishers cranking games for their IPs once a year and they arguably as damaging to the industry as the shit games were from 1982. Except that this industry won't die, it will hit rock bottom eventually if people don't stop defending these companies and continue to pre-order video games. That's the saddest part, because the industry crashing was THE BEST thing to happen because when Nintendo rose up to bring video games back, they learned from all the mistakes up to that point. I want another crash to happen, even if it's for a year, so companies would stop fucking us over and people would finally wake the hell up.

12:34 Wait a minute, I notice a big flaw about the Crocodile Attack QTE. The seen shows the Cop trying to prevent the Croc from opening his mouth (hence the QTE for it), but truth be told he wouldn't have this problem. Fun fact, while Croc's have powerful muscles to close there Jaws, there muscles that open there Jaws however are extremely week. So week in fact that you can just put a rubber band over the snout to prevent the Jaws from opening. Unless the cop had the strength of Spongebob, he would not have any problem keeping that Croc's mouth closed.

ASCG5000 True Crime really is one of the more underrated third person shooters. It's one of the first games to implement a karma system (this was before Infamous made that popular). You can be a good or bad cop depending on your actions and you get different endings (and even different missions) based on your affiliation.

What is also worth to mention is that not only the maps are badly designed for competitive play. EA even had the nerve to put *Competitive Play Support* behind the _"Premium Exclusive"_ pay wall.
Both the SP and the MP do not know what they want to be. They try to be like _"The Wire"_ and _"Bad Boys"_ at the same time.
It would have been much better for the game if they would have decided on one tone and sticked to that.
Bottom line is that there is a lot of potential in #Hardline , which they did not use because they played it too safe. They also shoehorned too much of the "Battlefield" mechanics into Hardline, which just make no sense there.
If they would have deviated more from Battlefield then this would have been a game that I could have seen myself play a lot. But as it stands right now, its just a game that I play every now and then.
It's a shame.

GAME IDEA!: Cop RPG with character creation and unique dialogue options. You can be a good cop or a crooked cop, whatever you want. You can be a beat cop, a motorcycle cop, a detective, or maybe a member of the swat team. You get a partner, or maybe you're a K9 unit! You can patrol around, respond to calls, take down crack dens, but you have to get legitimate evidence in order to bust a drug dealer. Like a cop simulator basically, but with RPG elements and some sort of karma system.

When it comes to getting hyped for things I usually follow publishers, developers, or others who have a good track record when it comes to games. So when it comes to getting hyped I don't like seeing publishers like EA or Ubisoft. Those publishers aren't the best at keeping their promises.
