Not taking the loot, not resting, not spending souls,and he is rushing around like a mad man. I am avg/below avg at the game, and never fucked up like this tbh. I took 10 tries to beat taurus, 25+ to beat capra, and I was able to 1 shot artorias, 1 shot manus (with sif help) while mid rolling.

well i would say it WOW didn't spoil him in a way of always running, never looking the area, just going for the hardest hits at fasz cooldowns - which he doesnt have in this game - then he might really be a good gamer. but i admire his spirit to never give up and always keep trying. If he learns patience, swordtechnique and being aware of the area around him - it would really be fine. But he is evolving and i am looking forward seeing him on his way up to becoming a mighty hero. I've been watching this play through since the start.. and.. as frustrating as he was in the beginning, he has improved a lot and it's actually getting fun to watch.. while still ridiculously frustrating. And I know when he says he's a "God" at this game, he's just joking about. But he should watch Lobos Jr's challenge runs, like, Fist Only Run and Mimic Head, No Heal Run. Also, SquillaKilla's no hit runs. They're the real GOAT at this game.
I died 20 times on my first playthrough fighting Artorias. The secret to defeat him is to not stay to close nor to far, medium distance is perfect, get one hit on him and back up.
Is it really that much easier using a controller? I also finished this on PC (both DS1 and 2) and i just ordered DS3 for console just to see how different the experience will be, plus i get to play while laying on the couch.

It's not about overcoming some external opposition it's about overcoming oneself. The thing standing between you and victory aren't the other characters in the game, it is you yourself. Everyone should go look at the global achievements for this game and see for themselves how many people gave up at each point in the game, how many undead lost themselves and hollowed. God, I love this game.

I heard Asmon say he didn't like the bird boss in Elden Ring and said it was as one of the worst bosses ever about as bad as Artorias, who i consider to be the best boss in dark souls 1, so i had to come see how this went for him. It is possible to make a build that can comfortably power through the boss the way Asmon wanted to with an ultra great weapon and R2s but his build wasnt minmaxxed enough for that here. Also i was waiting nearly 4 hours for Asmon to send the elevator up after using it so he wouldnt have to wait for it each time, oh well.
Throughout all of this, he complains about his “jitters” and not focusing but in 3 hours he goes through like 5 cokes. I can only imagine what the rest of his diet is like. DS is a game that allows you to fix the difficulty yourself. Should have gone to Anor Londo and gotten stronger. And for someone that says they can’t keep a thought together and are “scatter brained” he sure is focused on “killing the boss”. Got throughout most the game out of brute force and hit that Artorias wall REALLY hard.

he's playing reasonably good, compare this to first 10 hours, his skills have come a long way. Keep in mind he's doing a dlc boss with a +10 weapon and a few points was ted in resistance / dex. When i faught this boss, i could flat out trade hits and chug and come out on top lol.

@@TheFrosstitute gaiden needs to chill, but the grass crest shield is perfect for 2 hand builds. I used zweihander and grass crest, with full smoughs armor, and still med rolled at lvl 38 as my darkwraith character. The buff applies still when its on your back, so you can go for a few swings and recover fast enough. The shield is adequate when you really need to block too. This streamer really is using zwei poorly though, the light attack is very strong and you can quickly get out 3 swings and still have the energy to roll. Or my favorite is the roll attack, which makes you lunge it like a spear
As an intriguing experiment I decided to use the EKOW mod of DS3 gave myself the Wolf Knights Greatsword on a fresh file as well as the Wolf Knight armor set as well as the wolf ring to complete the set and from the instant the Artorias cutscene started I played the game as usual until he finally killed the boss and you know how far I got? From the start of the game all the way to defeating the Crystal Sage and on my way to the cathedral of the deep, I even gave myself a handicap and forced myself to go out of my way to get all the items in every zone as well as killing all NPCs as Abyss Corrupted Artorias would likely do. God Zack was such trash, cant google skill it can only be learned.
One of his favorite habits STILL: to not spend his souls after he gets a shitload and either lose them or nearly lose them. It’s like he still has no grasp that the number at the bottom right of the screen has any significance.
Ngl, i found Artorias to bereally tough too. Died like 7-8 times but was able to get him on the ninth attempt i guess, with a +2 silver knight spear with a mix of single and two handed attacks. It was a long fight🙂.
Yeah, he can be real pain for for first time you encounter him (like most bosses), but once you know that you can actually stop his buff, he's actually pretty easy.
Who cares? He is also incredibly boosted by the void and probably isn't human, while the player characters is just a weak man who got out of an Asylum and didn't even stop to take a shit before facing and killing him.

Yes. That is what Dark Souls is about. That is why it's such an incredible game. It's not about overcoming some external opposition it's about overcoming oneself. The thing standing between you and victory aren't the other characters in the game, it is you yourself. Everyone should go look at the global achievements for this game and see for themselves how many people gave up at each point in the game, how many undead lost themselves and hollowed. God, I love this game.

Artorias is definitely the boss that makes out of you a master of dodging. But Manus, you need to be a god of dodging and reflexes to beat him.
I think Kalameet is much harder personally

Artorias is such a good boss
I heard Asmon say he didn't like the bird boss in Elden Ring and said it was as one of the worst bosses ever about as bad as Artorias, who i consider to be the best boss in dark souls 1, so i had to come see how this went for him.
It is possible to make a build that can comfortably power through the boss the way Asmon wanted to with an ultra great weapon and R2s but his build wasnt minmaxxed enough for that here.
Also i was waiting nearly 4 hours for Asmon to send the elevator up after using it so he wouldnt have to wait for it each time, oh well.
Throughout all of this, he complains about his “jitters” and not focusing but in 3 hours he goes through like 5 cokes. I can only imagine what the rest of his diet is like. DS is a game that allows you to fix the difficulty yourself. Should have gone to Anor Londo and gotten stronger. And for someone that says they can’t keep a thought together and are “scatter brained” he sure is focused on “killing the boss”. Got throughout most the game out of brute force and hit that Artorias wall REALLY hard.

think there's only 2 or 3 i haven't really seen idk, kind of got tempted to watch his later videos so i started watching his later videos sooner than I should have.

he's playing reasonably good, compare this to first 10 hours, his skills have come a long way. Keep in mind he's doing a dlc boss with a +10 weapon and a few points was

But he is just draining all of his stamina with Zweihander 2H heavy attacks. Along with other heavy weapons.
And it's sad to think that a random would assume that the Grass Crest Shield sparkling is a cosmetic shield. No. Dark Souls is not a game for kids who use their parent's credit card to buy paid mods in vidya games lol :P

@@TheFrosstitute gaiden needs to chill, but the grass crest shield is perfect for 2 hand builds. I used zweihander and grass crest, with full smoughs armor, and still med rolled at lvl 38 as my darkwraith character. The buff applies still when its on your back, so you can go for a few swings and recover fast enough. The shield is adequate when you really need to block too. This streamer really is using zwei poorly though, the light attack is very strong and you can quickly get out 3 swings and still have the energy to roll. Or my favorite is the roll attack, which makes you lunge it like a spear

As an intriguing experiment I decided to use the EKOW mod of DS3 gave myself the Wolf Knights Greatsword on a fresh file as well as the Wolf Knight armor set as well as the wolf ring to complete the set and from the instant the Artorias cutscene started I played the game as usual until he finally killed the boss and you know how far I got? From the start of the game all the way to defeating the Crystal Sage and on my way to the cathedral of the deep, I even gave myself a handicap and forced myself to go out of my way to get all the items in every zone as well as killing all NPCs as Abyss Corrupted Artorias would likely do.
God Zack was such trash, cant google skill it can only be learned.

Ngl, i found Artorias to bereally tough too. Died like 7-8 times but was able to get him on the ninth attempt i guess, with a +2 silver knight spear with a mix of single and two handed attacks. It was a long fight🙂.
Yeah, he can be real pain for for first time you encounter him (like most bosses), but once you know that you can actually stop his buff, he's actually pretty easy.
