    Lovely slideshow at the end. You certainly had many lovely memories together with Roger. It’s one the features of the Royal Enfield, I feel they have so much character about them, and I hope Bella gives you the same. I have a Kawasaki W800, and despite the fact it is Japanese, it’s a bike with so much character to it, and like the Himalayan, it is basic motorcycling with no fancy gadgets or technology, doesn’t even have a fuel gauge, the only modern touch is ABS brakes. Glad to see Roger has a new home and the memories can continue!

    I'm glad your bike's going to a mate. I still have a fondness for my first bike (an awful 1981 Honda MT50) because that bike taught me to ride. The 50 also taught me that 50cc bikes are dangerous and my Grandson wasn't allowed one. He did his CBT 2 weeks ago and a little MUTT fat sabbath 125 was his prize. Loved that bike but needed to upgrade after a yr of riding. Here in USA 🇺🇸/ Nevada we have open HWY’S that really require higher speeds. Interstate highways average 80 plus mph out west.

    It’s sad when you out grow bikes, I am in the same situation with the Harley 883 Iron, not so much with the power but the diversity. At one point we had this exhausting period where we were testing all sorts of things, borrowed, rented and tested bikes to the point where we were constantly confused about it all. The Kawasaki x300 Versys was a contender I had even managed to borrow a friends for a month then a Honda crf300 rally. Then the new 450s dropped and well we ended up with the CF Moto 450MT the dealer and the price, plus the power difference. So we have two, and the Iron has to be moved on. I was lucky I mate took some of the jackets. Yes we went and got new textile jackets and pants. New enduro helmets. GF sold the BMW 310 GS. You don’t realise how much you get attached to them.

    It’s ridiculous I know, but I’m actually a bit sad watching this. I’ve really enjoyed your adventures with Roger.
    While enjoying a trip around the coast of Wales last week on Rupert (my Himmy), I did think of Roger and what might become of him.
    I thought maybe you could’ve encouraged your daughter to get her licence, and kept him for her. You could’ve gone on trips together with Roger and Bella. Still, I’m glad he’s going to a good home
    I’ve done 7000 miles on Rupert in my first year of ownership and think he’s great. The only thing left to do is treat him to the performance cam, but I’m not fully convinced he needs it. Either way, I’m looking forward to many, many more miles with him.

    Charlie I wouldn’t have thought the cf moto 450 would be much more powerful of faster than roger?? Thks

    • @restdayrider
      @restdayrider  Місяць тому

      It absolutely is, massively! The twin and 270 crank gives it constant power delivery so it's always ready to GO, besides it's almost double the HP!

      Hi Thks for that. Who makes the cfmoto 450 engine please? Thank you

      The engine is produced by CF Moto themselves in China.

    I follow the channel of RobLittleUK and his group rides on small bikes of the Wiltshire Whizzers and it really looks like you have some lovely villages in your area

    I haven't been following you long enough to know, but now he has gone, how did he aquire the name ? been avoiding this question as I fear it might be a sad answer.

      @restdayrider  Місяць тому

      Hi, it's ok it's not a sad answer! Basically, Roger is from a childhood book I used to have about a tractor called Roger, and it's also a term I use daily on the radio at work. 😊

      @@restdayrider That's a relief. I have a tractor, but it hasn't really got a name, my first tractor was Dick the Dexta, my second was Mas, a MF 135. Hope I never meet you in a work environment, although, if I'm in a bad way, I might be glad to meet you. I think you probably cover mid Wilts !!!

    Perhaps you can have the occasional ride with Freddie and Roger and we can see how they are getting on.

    Logically..... You cut the scone in half, put the cream on one side and the jam on the other, and press the two halves together, this avoids any stability/compatibility problems.

  • @davericketts9101
    @davericketts9101 Місяць тому +1

    Case proven...always cream first, then jam. A bit like when you have toast and marmalade; you wouldn't put the marmalade on first, then try to put butter on top 🤔

    Lacock is the home of Fox Talbot who invented the positive negative photographic printing process - it is a pretty place! I still regret selling my first two stroke from the 70's - Roger will be ok!

    I read your tea leaves.... and they said Roger in the not too distant future will lead an uprising with John Conner against the machines of Skynet.... I think that means he's planning on taking over from Two Tier.... what is that useless toolmakers name!! Let's hope Roger can save us all...😂😂😂😂 Regards from Wroughton.👍👍👍👍
