At age 55, undereye wrinkling is likely caused by changes to the underlying structures of the face ie: bone loss, fat loss, fat pad descension. No cream will help that, unfortunately.
@@princess121268 Yes that can definitely be a contributing factor. But for sure, the changes that come with aging and hormonal shifts are also big factors.
I used the cicaplast on my daughter after her last open heart surgery. She is highly allergic to tape and the leads will peel her skin off. I used cicaplast and put cerave healing ointment on top and her burns healed within days! It also kept it from scarring! Cica is a MUST HAVE in our house!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m also super allergic to tape and most ointments. I had surgery a couple of months ago, and I’ve been dealing with peeling skin and burns from the bandages but haven’t figured out how to remedy it. I will try this combo! I told my medical team to only use paper tape, and they switched the lead stickers to a less irritating adhesive. They would fall off quicker but the rash was not as bad. I’m so excited to have this new info! Thank you again!
I would love a review of some Korean skin care especially sunscreen! Love you guys, your recommendations have given me the best skin I’ve ever had in my life now at 40! ❤
I’m 63 and on my second bottle of the oil cleaner. Daily in shower lasted almost 6 months. Three pumps into salux cloth. Love it no more dry skin and I looked for this after a Paris France visit and oil bath gel in hotel.
I LOVE the Triple Repair Cream Moisturizer! It is the only drugstore moisturizer that I love. It's replaced my super expensive moisturizer from Sephora and I'm not looking back. If you are someone who finds no drugstore moisturizers being strong enough and you think everyone is gaslighting you when they say Neutrogena Hydro Blast Cream is for dry skin (PLEASE) try this! Maintaining hydration and reapplying sunscreen two times a day is what works best for me. The riceberry sunscreen from liittllextra is what I like the most currently, as it suits those with oily or combination skin perfectly. It doesn't feel like a sunscreen, absorbs fast into the skin and has a matte feel. Probably the only sunscreen that hasn't felt oily on my skin. Absolutely loved it!
UA-cam in general, you two docs and my fave beauty influencers are really helpful in describing products with fragrance. My skin doesn't react to any of the other ingredients poorly, but removing perfumed skin and laundry products had great improved my skin.
Compare La Roche Posay and Cerave when it comes to its effectivity in a short span of time. I’ve been using Cerave since I knew you, Doc. However, it took me 100 bottles before I felt the effect. When my doctor introduced me La Roche Posay products, boom! My skin literally changed in an instant 🥹
I am currently loving the Laroche pose oil cleanser. I am a 52-year-old woman going through menopause with changing skin needs. The other cleansers left my skin on the dryer side and the oil one does not.

You honestly can’t go wrong with their face washes. My personal favorite being the Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Cleanser (I have combination skin). It’s actually a reason why you see their products in most dermatologist office. I recommend it to everybody I know.
The cicaplast cleansing wash was given to me in January by my surgeon in a French hospital after an emergency operation. He recommended it for post op wound wash. Also the serozinc. Both have really been amazing for healing.
The melt in milk is my holy grail sunscreen! I'm an avid gardener so this sucker is on my skin all day everyday and feels so so good! It does not leave me itchy or greasy by the end of the day, and that's with reapplications. I just wish I could get hands on the jumbo bottles!
I’m 59 and watch you both on here and Instagram! I use their bodywash and moisturiser on my face. My skin is dry and sensitive, so using them at night leaves my skin soft and healthy in the morning. I use the cica cream if my skin is feeling a bit delicate. Always use spf 50 - Uvmune 400 Unfortunately, I can’t find the glycolic B5 product in Germany. Keep up the good work guys! 👋🏼from old woman in Germany
I believe the Glycolic B5 serum is not available in most of Europe. I think I saw somewhere that the Glycolic B5 serum has been repackaged (perhaps for the US market?) from the Mela B3 serum.
La Roche-Posay is my favorite skincare brand! I've been religiously using the serums and moisturizers for a year. My acne is gone, and my skin looks amazing and glowing. The products are quite expensive, but I love my skin right now. I started this skin routine when I was 33.
Just started this skincare 3 months ago and I’ve been loving it too! I’ve been trying many brands and this brand is the only one that can fix my acne problem. The serums, moisturizer and facial wash are amazing on my skin. I’m so happy that I found this skincare.
I literally just received my Amazon order with their hydrating cleanser and double repair moisturizer this morning 😂. Love this brand for my sensitive skin
The Lipikar AP+ Triple Repair Moisturizer is the only cream that really corrects and protects my husband's super-dry fragile leg skin. The Cicaplast gel B5 (not the baume) is a daily-use product for me. And Oh yeah, that foaming cleansing oil is fantastic; I use it for face, body, and keep a bottle by the sink for hand-washing. I just wish that LRP didn't put so much fragrance in their serums; after trying the Hyalu-b5 one I don't use any of them for that reason.
I have a very good experience with this brand as a European customer. The large bottle sizes, lack of fragrance and unproblematic consistency to my skin is my favourite as it is on the dry to very dry and sensitive side. Sometimes, I wish the brand was a bit more clear with which products go onto the face vs the body as well as how thick or thin the cream is expected to be because I find it easy to make such a mistake. Compared to a brand like Redken which uses distinct colours and packaging alterations, LRP seems to have one style that almost all products follow. Right now, I am using and very satisfied with their Toleriane Dermo-Nettoyant (cleanser), Lipikar Baume AP+ Balm (moisturiser), Lipikar Gel Lavant (shower gel) and two Anthelios sunscreens. The only product I would not buy again is the Fluide Hydratant (body lotion): For my skin, the texture is too thin and watery, so it might be good for oily or combination skin but I prefer Neutrogena's Deep Moisture with a much thicker formula for that. Even for my face, I find the Fluide Hydratant too light and also slightly irritating around the eye area. Their lipstick and exfoliating cleanser (Gommage Surfin) are decent in my experience, and unlike you, I have a good experience with their retinol serum as well which I use twice to thrice per week at maximum.
Oh, this happens across all brands within the L'Oréal group, changing names, availability, formulation-it's very frustrating in many ways. I believe having a unified portfolio and global website for each brand would help tremendously.
@@avery1716 i use the ultra concentrate serum, not the duo :) it comes in a green glass bottle. i don't use it every day but when when my acne gets worse it helps a lot
I have used Rohto Hadalobo Gokujyun Cleansing oil every day for many years and I love it. Once rinsed thoroughly my skin isn’t left with an oily residue, but maybe every other day or so I will follow up with a very light, quick second cleanse, usually Vanicream Gentle Cleansing lotion. I use less than 1/4 of a pump of the cleanser and lightly cleanse my face, neck, chest for only about 15 seconds then rinse thoroughly. Using oil cleanser is one of the best things I’ve ever done (second only to prescription tretinoin nightly) for my 69 year old skin and it makes a huge difference. I love it, I’m not stripping or drying my skin at all.
Ditto. I double cleanse. Wearing water-resistant sunscreen, oil cleansing works best for me (it took dozens of tries before I found one that agreed with my face). I follow up with Vanicream’s Gentle Cleanser and Vanicream Cream (which I also use on my body)…interested in trying the Lipikar for body to see if it’s magic. If not, staying put. My skin is so sensitive….
Having all four LaRoche Posey cleaners are a must with the different seasons in the south. But my most loved products from this line is Lipikar AP Triple Repair moisturizing cream and Anthelios light fluid sunscreen. Just started using Tretinoin again because these products protect my skin from that 90 day of purging, drying, and helps with the dryness that accentuate wrinkles. Love this product. I wished I had them 45 years ago.
Love that you guys covered this brand specifically!! You guys got me hooked on the Lipkar Moisturizer!! It truly does work! It's cheaper and actually works! I used the Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance for years.....cost is way more and it never kept my skin hydrated all day 😒 Can you guys do a video covering the brand The Ordinary?!?
I am obsessed with the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Cleansing Oil. It cleans and rinses so thoroughly without stripping. I’m assuming the LaRoche Posay version is similar since they’re both L’Oréal brands.
I love La roche posay. I especially enjoy their spf compact for face. The beige shade is still a bit dark for me but it works great under my eyes and doubles as a dark circle corrector and concealer. I’m 54 btw.
The first product La Roche-Posay drove me crazy, saw it as the balm, it changed and I didn’t know what I was looking for. It’s great to know I’m on the right track!
I’ve always had bad skin, especially acne, and I was tired of trying all the expensive stuff. The subliminal affirmations on borlest have honestly been the one thing that’s made a real difference. My skin feels so much better now.
I absolutely love their cleansing oil too! Cerave cleansers would sting on my face but this cleansing oil doesn’t sting at all. So great for sensitive skin, lathers well, and leaves you feeling clean without feeling stripped.
‼️You mentioned epiduo as a great adapalene+BP product, but there is a new product (FDA approved late last year, made available February 2024) called CABTREO, and it actually combines 3 actives in one 1.2% Clindamycin Phosphate 0.15% Adapalene 3.1% Benzoyl Peroxide My girlfriend started CABTREO late February and is really liking it so far! Just wanted to let you know about this new product as I'm pretty sure it'll become a staple in prescription acne treatments within the next few years Love the videos!!
From America and I LOVE the oil cleanser... I had facial eczema and had a really hard time finding a cleanser that didn't strip... and this is THEE ONE
I didn’t think anything could help with my acne scars, but after listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a while, I’ve started to notice they’re actually fading. It’s such a relief.
To be honest, I didn’t expect much from the subliminal affirmations on borlest, but my skin has improved so much. I’ve had fewer breakouts and it’s looking clearer every day. So happy I found this!"
The uvmune 400(that you showed onscreen, the weird rectangle with cap on one side) is a really tiny bottle, only 50 ml (1.6 fl.oz) and not cheap, so it's absolutely a face-only sunscreen.
As someone with combination, but mostly oily skin who lives in Canada and needs extra hydration in the winter, I find cicaplast balm sits on my skin but the cicaplast b5 gel works so well for me mixed into a light moisturizer!
Some of their sunscreens really are wonderful, especially for those of us with combo/oily skin. I have that blue Toleriane cleanser in my cart for months now, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet, for some reason. Great video, as usual!
I have it now. I’ve been using it for months and it’s on sale so how’s a good time. It’s sooo good. The best I’ve used in a long time and that bottle lasts months
I purchased the La Roche-Posay moisturizer and it pilled. That is the first moisturizer to do that. I applied it right to my skin at night after cleansing. Maybe the dimethicone? Anywho I’m back to plain ol’ CeraVe cream with a pump.
As a atopic/ sensitive skin user from Europe I completely agree with every word you’ve said! Been using LRP products since my teen years. Anti-helious and Lipikar kudos!
The UVMUNE sunscreen is amazing. Super light, no white cast and doesn’t hurt the eyes. Which for me is a big + since I always rub my face and eyes and the sunscreen ends up in my eyes
I’m so stoked on this video! I love La Roche-Posay, it’s the only product I can use on my face that does not cause irritation. Makes sense I can’t always find their products since they constantly change names on them. The KERIUM DS is incredibly hard to find and I can only order it online but it has been a game change for dermatitis seborreica 👊👊👊
I actually like that LRP changes their product names to indicate a formula change! It's very helpful for people like me, with severe skin sensitivities!
Shout-out: Everytime I try a new product I immediately go to UA-cam hoping the Doctorly boiiiiis have done a review on it - and they always have. You guys never disappoint!
I just bought the triple repair moisturizing cream. I’m SO excited because with the colder weather coming, my skin gets SO dry, especially on my ankles
Love the popular AP+M but hate the packaging.. almost 1/3rd of the product is wasted.. it’s so thick and not able to dispense it. Love the cicaplast line..and new cicaplast gel with 21% glycerin is amazing!
Thanks for all that you do Doctorly team! I have oily skin and I love using the triple repair moisturizing cream as a night cream. It seems to work kind of like an occlusive over my serums and gives my skin a healthy glow. It’s too thick and heavy for daytime face use for oily skin, but at night, chefs kiss!
@@chapoaveli714 I often use sunscreen as my “moisturizer” after my serums for the daytime. However, I love the LaRoche Posay Toleriane double repair matte moisturizer. It is light and has a gel cream consistency. My skin feels moisturized and there is some ingredient that absorbs oil so it leaves my face with a nice velvety matte finish.
I love Effaclar duo tinted , European version, covers just as much as I need and treats skin with salicilic acid and niacinamide...Slightly perfumed, not bothered by the fragrance ❤
I suffered from consistent acne until menopause. Went to a dermatologist at a young age. He did not suggest any moisturizer or sunscreen, and my face burned for weeks. Gave it up and never went back until later in life. But the education both you do is fun and most educational. I started again at 50 with tretinoin, and the results were fantastic. But again, I stopped my routine, and I'm started back last February. I'm 66. It's so important to cleanse with a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. I never use harsh scrubbs or chemical treatments. Using La roche-posay has provided excellent benefits. I started using niacinamide at nights and hyaluronic acid in the mornings under moisturizer with my routine. La roche-posay has the best selection in facial and all-over body care. My choice is there moisturizers.
Honestly, my skin has never looked this good. Whether it was breakouts or rough texture, the subliminal affirmations on borlest helped smooth everything out. It’s amazing how much has changed!
Thanks so much for the informative content shared on this channel. I am humbly requesting for a video on body care for severe eczema and odour management where armpit are the most sensitive part.
Not a doctor, but as someone who suffers from dermatitis and perspirates a lot, I love the Roc Keops stick. It’s fragrance and alcohol free and really keeps the smell away
I'm also obsessed with the LP Oil Cleanser!!! It keeps my skin hydrated and counteracts the dryness I get with retinol. I also use the Lipikar triple moiisture on my face. So soothing!

I'm 57 with dry skin and LaRoche Posay has been my go-to line for 20 years. When I first started using it, it was not available everywhere like it is now, I had to buy it at my doctor's office spa. Spf products really irritate my skin but the Anthelios AOX serum sunscreen with niacinamide.
Very good video, good informations I will keep in mind for work. I'm a pharmacy tech from Switzerland. I didnt knew that the product habe diffrent names than here.
Have used effacar duo with or without spf 30 for over 10 years. It has been amazing! Wouldn’t change for the world. Also loving their retinol this year following your recommendation 😅
Hey Dr. Maxfield & Dr. Shah!! I wanted to share that I previously purchased the CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam cleanser and was NOT a fan at all. It left a film on my face and I wanted to claw it off after using it. After viewing your La Roche-Posay video, I purchased the Purifying Foaming Cleanser for Normal to Oily skin and it is honestly the BEST cleanser I have ever used. The stark difference is astounding to me. Thank you so much for all your educational videos and product reviews. I am going to make an appointment with a Dermatologist as I am experiencing some odd red blotching that I have never had before. It may be related to starting the use of CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol product....but need that opinion. Again, thanks for all you do!!
The only product I use from LaRoche is the Toleriane cleanser. It’s my morning cleanser and I feel like it preps my face nicely for my multi-peptide+copper serum that I apply daily by the Ordinary, as well as the Ordinary’s multi-peptide eye serum.
I have acne prone combination skin. I use tretinoin 4-5x a week, with 1x a week exfoliation day using GA10%. On my "rest day" when my skin is still flaky or even when my acne is inflamed, I use cicaplast after moisturizer. It's such a game changer. I freaking love that product.
I had dry flaky skin all over my face for most of puberty. When a friend moved away and left a bottle of La Roche Posay moisturizer, I took a chance and it paid off!!! My dryness went away immediately and never returned, so it’s my holy grail.
I've struggled with breakouts forever and nothing seemed to work. I’ve been listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a few weeks now, and I swear my skin has never looked this clear. I didn’t expect it to work, but it really did.
I use the cleansing oil and the Lipikar moisturizers. I have eczema and it is so incredibly helpful for the spots on my face and body that flake and itch. Cicaplast is a bonus for flares.
American here, and I absolutely LOVE the oil cleaner! Just rebought last week. Love the lipikar moisturizer amd it has been in my rotation for months now, too.
The triple repair moisturizer is heaven wrapped in a bottle!!! It's so good, that even my teenage son has become a fan (AND a fan of the sunscreen too). Also, I wanted to compliment Dr. Shah on his REMEDY products!!! I ordered the dark spot serum and the lip balm. I'm already seeing results from the dark spot corrector AND saw instant results from the lip balm!!! Please don't ever stop making either!!!
The Anthelios UV Correct daily sunscreen lotion 70SPF is my favorite! Works very well for me, rubs in well, and leaves no white caste (for me). Makes my skin glow on top of my moisturizer. Great products overall.
Hey Docs! Thanks for the real skin-ny on LRP. I'm loving their Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer. Doesn't feel heavy and has improved my skin texture. Also love their Cicaplast hand cream. It really does last all day. No scent and love the handy travel size. Thanks for all the great vids!
I love their Toleriane range. I have severely sensitive skin and their milder cleanser from the Toleriane range (white bottle), the serum and moisturiser saved my skin, especially in winter. Everyone with sensitive skin should try that line.
Thanks for the review. I've been using Effeclar duo+ spf 30 for years now, if you have combination skin it's a great moisturizer/sunscreen. One downside is that it irritates the eyes. But overall great product.
I love and have used for years serum B5 (the blue one); it’s the best hydrating serum that I have ever tried for my dry, acne-prone skin. In a dry winter with heating or hot summertime.
I love to see videos like this, great content! Is it possible to create a video specifically on the changes that Menopause brings to our skin and how to change the routine to care for it's specific needs? I see that you have skin care for dry skin or skin over 40 y.o. but asking if a deep dive on the subject is on the radar.
Currently recovering from covid turned sinus infection and I slather cicaplast balm under my nose every night. Such a saviour! And the Lipikar baume AP+ has helped my eczema so much
I used to use La Roche Posay when I was much younger! Right now, I’m happy with Dr Jart Ceramidin barrier cream - it’s excellent and basic staple. I assume your best moisturizer picks might be equivalent 🤔 alternative…I might return to this brand

The Effaclar serum has been saving controlling my acne so well comparing to other brands!
Oh please keep advising on you tube for over 60 skin please love your channel and oui oui oui pour la Roche Posey !
Oui et oui encore from the US ❤
Yes! More advice for over 60 skin😊
Me too ! Double cleanse in one bottle
I have that one.. it was launched here in europe much earlier than the US. It's one of the few cerave products that my skin likes.
So no need to follow with another face wash? Nice
@@elin_ I ordered it from Portugal before it was available here is the US!
I love La roche posay. I especially enjoy their spf compact for face. The beige shade is still a bit dark for me but it works great under my eyes and doubles as a dark circle corrector and concealer. I’m 54 btw.
i love la roche in ma posay 💅
The first product La Roche-Posay drove me crazy, saw it as the balm, it changed and I didn’t know what I was looking for. It’s great to know I’m on the right track!
Please do a video on a comparison of La Roche posay and Avene. I have favorites from both
I hope they do, I love both company’s
can you make a video about how long to wait inbetween applying products? such as cleanser, moisturizer, retinoids, suncreens, etc
‼️You mentioned epiduo as a great adapalene+BP product, but there is a new product (FDA approved late last year, made available February 2024) called CABTREO, and it actually combines 3 actives in one
1.2% Clindamycin Phosphate
0.15% Adapalene
3.1% Benzoyl Peroxide
My girlfriend started CABTREO late February and is really liking it so far! Just wanted to let you know about this new product as I'm pretty sure it'll become a staple in prescription acne treatments within the next few years
Love the videos!!
I love the green Effaclar MicroPeeling 2% SA cleanser. It works soooo well for my skin & isn’t drying. It’s for face, body & even scalp.
Love the tinted fluid sunscreen / moisturizer! Hope they never cancel it❤
Some of their sunscreens really are wonderful, especially for those of us with combo/oily skin.
Love you both and greatly appreciate your knowledge and recommendations to help guide us in our decision making!!
Hello! Kindly requesting a morning and night time routine for combination skin for mature skin . About to turn 43!😬 thank you!!
I’ve been waiting on a LRP video!! Can you guys do dermalogica next ?
Thank you for that! I’m gonna give it a try.
I could not use this due to the fragrance. It’s overpowering and made my skin burn
@@vanessahersey6302 Oh that’s interesting. The one that I have is fragrance free. Mine is from Europe
I've been using cicaplast b5 and b5+ for years now. I use it as a night cream, it has hugely improved my skin
I bought their Triple Repair moisturizing cream recently. Agree it is great, provides good coverage, not sticky and makes my face feel winderful.
Hi, i have the same skin as you. What do you use as your day time lotion or face moisturizer?
@@chapoaveli714 My sunscreen serves as my daytime moisturizer. I use Drmtlgy Matte Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46.
Hello doctors ❤ , you both are amazing doctors, and so inspiring. Your knowledge and experience is so important to us all. Thank goodness for you both, and we are grateful for all of your support and looking forward for more content in the next chapter. Xx
Hey! I and about 50 friends family over 50+ watch you! You are both amazing as I dont think companies are paying you to tout their product! I trust both if you 100!
I didn’t even know that they have a cleanser oil! When did that happen! I love oil cleansers
@muhallebi6168 yes cerave has it , it LOVE IT ❤️
Thanks for sharing, Docs!
I'm still thinking the La Roche Posay products to buy and this vid helps a lot. ❤
LP is my go-to brand for cleansers. The Toleriane cleanser is my favorite of them all.
Hey Dr Shah and Dr Maxfield.
You guys finally uploaded!! Always look forward to watching your videos 😊😊 always brightens up my day ❤❤
Very good video, good informations I will keep in mind for work. I'm a pharmacy tech from Switzerland. I didnt knew that the product habe diffrent names than here.
Have used effacar duo with or without spf 30 for over 10 years. It has been amazing! Wouldn’t change for the world. Also loving their retinol this year following your recommendation 😅
I’m on my 3rd bottle of Tolariane cleanser which is the equivalent of 3.5 years worth.
I've loved every product I've tried. Their serums especially make my senior skin look terrific.
Love the purifying foaming cleanser and yes it does last a long time, a single pump goes a very long way.
The melt in milk sunscreen is amazing. Especially for sports- it doesn’t run in your eyes when sweating.
I use the sunscreen orange/white tube - Anthelios.
Recommended by dermatologist who used it himself. His skin looked great.
I love their Toleriane range. I have severely sensitive skin and their milder cleanser from the Toleriane range (white bottle), the serum and moisturiser saved my skin, especially in winter. Everyone with sensitive skin should try that line.
The lipikar moisturizer is amazing! Literally the only one that keeps me moisturized for over 12 hours.
