I bought this goat new. The wheel hop is solved by putting on a set of high performance summer tires. The all season tires are what caused the hop. Solid muscle car. Only thing that has failed is the plastic sided radiator!

I definitely have a habit of short-shifting out of first. Usually let it rev out higher on the rest of the gears though. The skip-shift made this one a bit trickier. Just didn't realize it had that at the time.
@@GearboxCarReviews under 2k it forces 1- 4 skip. 2.7k is casual and smooth for me.
@@alloutriot808 ah right, looking back now, I forgot the issue I was having was out of first. That makes perfect sense, thanks! I'll have to see if I can get back into a GTO again to check it out.
@@GearboxCarReviews the skip shift can be "tuned" out by HP Tuner or anyone that does tuning.
