This thing sounds like my old 5.7 vortec 97 yukon. My gto sounds completely different
bought a 5.7 about 5 months ago and can’t decide between cam header or exhaust first
Depends on what you want. Do you have good knowledge about those mods?
alibobo baba i’m more familiar with the exhaust aspect, that would be nothing for me to do. headers would be an interesting challenge. and a cam seems out of my skill set but sounds beautiful
@@jimbertjimothy4639 Well cams can give you way more power than exhaust/headers. The only thing is you have to take the heads off and replace the old lifters, valve springs, and put in hardened pushrods. So you'll spend 600 to 750 dollars on all that. Headers you could easily do by yourself. Just be careful with the header bolts because they break easy. Get good cat back exhaust but honestly cheap long tune headers on eBay or Amazon are the exact same. I recommend OBX long tube headers. They're on my gto. Headers will give you way more power than just cat back exhaust and are cheaper if you go that route. Honestly man you should buy them all by saving 2000 dollars to cover the install fee if you can't do it. If you don't have that kind money I would get a cam and tune. Got to get it tuned after a cam or you can fuck it up.
@@jimbertjimothy4639 tunes are anywhere from 200 to 500 dollars depending on where you go. (Dyno).
@@jimbertjimothy4639 if you do go the cam route have the shop who pits them in for you put in LS7 lifters and 650 double valve springs with hardened pushrods.
