    I had a Yellowjacket 2004 GTO 6 speed manual and I loved that car and miss her . It started developing a few issues around the 10yr mark , including clear coat pealing which, like a cancer , started small on the hood and just grew and grew . GTOs were also notorious for having thin paint , which didn’t help . Parts for the car were somewhat of a pain to get at the time , and not that cheap . Need a replacement key and fob … well ya paid around 130 for the whole thing , which included an 8.50 charge for the 2 screws to hold the key in the fob lol (the whole package was sold in 3 parts separately) …. Still , like I said I miss that car

      The vehicle market is worldwide now. I wish all USA models were made here but that isn't the case anymore.
      The Monaro Holden and the GTO are similar but the GTO does have some differences.
      If you are from Australia, you should be proud, since Monaro was a great company.
      If not, then why even reply? The 2 cars have differences. Both are GM owned companies so what is the problem?

      @@JB54379 Don't get me wrong it's a great car and Holden is a great company but the problem is that calling it a GTO is not only a huge disgrace to the Holden Monaro but also a very huge disgrace to the original GTOs from 60s, now had the 04-06 GTOs had the retro styling of the GTOs from the 60s (like the 66 to 67) instead of a rebadged Holden Monaro from Australia 🇦🇺 it would've not only sold very well but Pontiac would've still be here to this day.

    • @JB54379
      @JB54379 Рік тому

      @@StelioKontos42069 Depends a lot on that, from a roll.
      From a roll the automatic kills in certain RPM's but, I agree with you, it does have a few dead spots.
      Of course you can get around that with the automatic by just downshifting the auto to match your speed.
      If you downshift the automatic, on a roll race, you still pull harder than the manual, just like from a dead stop.

    Finally someone that gets it! I've gotten into it with automatic heads that keep going to the "with automatic, the car is faster" which to me just shows the laziness of these people. My opinion is that there's always going to be faster cars out there, but I want to enjoy my car driving experience and the manual tranny provides this. I told these guys that if there were to be autonomous cars racing, it seems like they would be okay with just sitting in one doing absolutely nothing, while the car wins a race. They just don't get it. Anyway, good review man.

    So that car would have a little more than factory HP , as it has a cold air intake and aftermarket headers and pipes. So You should do some reserach on that t56 transmisson. Depending on your driving style or where you are at in the RPM range , throttle postion and speed it wont allow you to go into certain gears. If you put in first hold the break and rev the engine to about 1500 RPMs it puts in a luanch mode . If you are cursining around town you can start off in 2nd, or you can start in 1st and go straight to either 3rd or 4th., the dash will also tell you want gear to go into after a while if you het the right permateirs ,. How do I know this ? well My Dad bought an 04 GTO with the same 6 speed and now I have it, So if it does not go into the gear easly when driving then you are not meant to go into that gear

    You lost me at heavy clutch ...I've driven Toyota and Hondas with a heavier clutch and flywheel weight than the majority of the LS/T56 TR6060 TA's Camaros and 2 corvettes ive had the pleasure of driving not to mention a Stock LS2 T56 equipped GTO. Its your opion and your video but you lost me my guy. One of the first people I've ever heard outloud say the LS7 flywheel clutch swap felt heavy.

    i never knew someone could make a gto look like what ever that is also were tf did this man really think that putting what ever those long ahh exhaust pipes, purple accents that came out of no where, and for some reason thought it would look good to put a gtr spoiler and American flag on the back of that car. Im honestly surprised that he can drive stick without redlining it who ever the owner is because i mean.... look at that thing

    Like every year, I will lay up my 2005 GTO for the winter after Thanksgiving Day. In Michigan, she is the worst car to drive. Even my old 1991 Corvette is better.. Because she has SO much torque, she is almost impossible to drive in the snow or ice. Any gear will make her slip out.

    Why the American Flag? It's a rebadged Holden, not a true american car. So it should be an Australian flag 🤔🤷‍♂️
    Edit: After watching the video, I now take back some of the snark/sarcasm in my original comment, seeing as Zach/Zack did make light of this fact.
