The Adipose were the only aliens that made me gush. It's a nice break from psychopathic killer species like Daleks and silent creepy ones like the angels.
You know, if they openly sold a diet pill, where every night you lose a pound and a cute little Adipose popped out, I'd buy it! This would give the term "dropping the kids off at the pool" a new meaning.
Yeah and that's a point to ponder. The Adiposians didn't necessarily have to creep around like this. They want something a lot of us want to get rid of, and they can help us get rid of it more easily than we can do it ourselves. you have to think that some kind of deal could have been struck here.
Which is why I think a deal might be struck. They don't take enough to kill the human, and theey get some offspring and the human loses unwanted diameter.
Also, the fact that Adipose larvae can metabolize any piece of host tissue if need be, not just fat cells, at the price of their equivalent of a stomach ache. The fat walking away is fine. The fat, muscle, stomach lining, and bone walking away? Not so much. (For proof of this, note the example and tragic sacrifice of "poor Stacey" who was converted 100% into Adipose)
The Racnoss babies were going to destroy the human race, but the adipose babies were already leaving, no harm done (or at least they were done harming)
David Tennant had so much compassion. Even a lady who was about to murder millions of people the doctor tried to save. Eccleston would’ve smiled and let her ass drop. Shows amazing character development in the doctor. Some time away from the Time War softened him
I think TheZStudio was talking about the ones from manhatten in evolution of the daleks two parter in series 3, they were humans that basically were supposed to work for the daleks, but the doctor got in the way like usual and instead they questioned the daleks, so they fought, the human daleks killed the two daleks in front of them and the final remaining dalek, dalek caan, killed them without even fighting, killing an entire new species that they had only just created.
I love the bit at 0:12 with Wilfred being completely oblivious to the massive alien ship. I also like the bit when they shut off the beam and she's just hanging in the air momentarily, and then falls, complete with cartoonish whistling sound.
I love how Donna doesn't even wait for an invitation from the Doctor. She just assumes that she can go and that he is taking her. This is why she is number two on my top companions list. 👍👍😄😂😊
more 'appropriate' really. You don't not expect a weight loss vid before this. It's not a thief being robbed or a man bludgeoned with a marksman trophy.

As cartoonish as that death was, it can easily be explained. The light and the attraction beam are two separate devices. The light which tracks the person or people it's pulling in, giving a clear guided pathway from the ground to the ship. While the beam itself is invisible to the naked eye. Ergo, they shut the light off, gave Foster enough time to register she was gonna die, then turned the beam off.

they look cute
they look soo cute
hahahahahah that was soo funny when she fell
mxgirl918 the way to have good dreams is just imagining a field full of adipose and unaltered Ood
Well, had they asked politely, I would have give the 20 xtra pounds I carry.
When Miss Foster fell, she looks like a classic cartoon because gravity won't work till you look down...
+The Doc/ Moriartress I know. I thought this show was a Sci-Fi, not a cartoon!
+beng1603 But it is really funny
Jacob Wood She will float xD
Yeah I know right that's so funny
Reminds me of a Wylie Coyote Cartoon.
I love the one adipose that was waving to the doctor n Donna, I can't stop watching that part. It's so adorable
You mean the one that hit on them? Little Winky
“I’m waving at fat”
I feel bad for donnas grandpa he wants to see aliens but he is looking the wrong way :(
Well he finally got to see the big blue box and the doctor. so don't feel bad for him because he found what he wanted
striker300x not half as bad as should feel for the several hundred people who worked in the building who'll now be out of employment!
meh they will be fine... I think
Best line to finish entire Doctor Who Episodes:
"It's them aliens again."
I find it a little funny
You know, if they openly sold a diet pill, where every night you lose a pound and a cute little Adipose popped out, I'd buy it! This would give the term "dropping the kids off at the pool" a new meaning.

I'm basing this on my sense that humans survived the seeding.
Which is why I think a deal might be struck. They don't take enough to kill the human, and theey get some offspring and the human loses unwanted diameter.
I think the main problem would be the number of dangerous aliens that have appeared before, they'd probably have a hard time getting trusted.

Doctor: *gulps*

I don't think they were children in the same sense as the Adipose
Uhhhhh...No Time Lord wants to relive the Dark Times of the Universe? Best Excuse I've got.
Andrew Jennings the Adipose are harmless. The Racnoss were giant man eating spiders
The doctor is creative af, I'm sure he could have thought of a way to keep those babies alive but he was just being edgy
is it bad that i think baby adipose's are the most adorable ever
Nope. I went "aww" when I first saw one.
No. I do too.
No you're right adipose are the second cutest things in Doctor who first is stromageden the baby

Me too and the human-daleks :)

I just loved the Nanny's reaction when the beam left her.
So Loony Tunes like.
The0mega79 All she needed to do then is hold up a sign saying HELP before she fell 😂
Missing only one thing.
They look like little marshmellows

Louis Green So cute!
TheHelloGamer little tiny cute staffpuff marshmallow babies
I've always wondered what adult adipose look like.....
Probably the marshmallow man from Ghostbusters XD
Apparently, they're very large.
Also, one of them went on to become a newscaster.
Saw them in a comic they grow up to the height of an average adult shoulder
thisle men

I'm sure there's a perfectly logical and rational explanation (well, for the Who-niverse anyway) but I love the cartoon physics in this scene.
Well, she was in a floaty beam, so perhaps some residual floatiness made her stay up for a few seconds after the beam turned off.
