    Things that affect mindset to play this game :
    Fatigue
    Stress
    Thinking of other things while playing
    Alcohol

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому +5

      No no no, its the other way around. You tire easily because you aren't playing NHL. You stress over the fact that you aren't playing it right now. You drink because its only 2nd to playing NHL. You think about NHL while you are dealing with important matters (like an exam, or interview, or date, or sex). Once you play NHL, it all goes away!

    Just want to say thank you BS. I started playing NHL just last year, I was atrocious to say the least when i started. I've ritually watched your videos and some of No sleeves' videos as well. This year I've managed to beat 3 top 100 players already. So thank you for that.

    • @alexboehm776
      @alexboehm776 6 років тому

      To piggy back on that, one area where I fail is when the opponent applies heavy pressure on the forecheck when I have the lead. My guys get stuck in quick sand and I turn the puck over non stop. If you could cover how to prevent this from happening, that'd be fantastic! thanks in advance!

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому +1

      You are very welcome :)..happy to hear of your success! As far as how to counter the forecheck, thats pretty tough because in most cases its situational. If you can't make that long breakout pass, you have to make a short support pass before breaking out. Sometimes you'll have to take it behind your own net or pass it around the boards behind your net. You could always flip the puck out by clearing it and hope your player is fast enough to pick it up.

    Hi Brianstormed. I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer. 1. My passing on 2 on 1's or 2 on nones is terrible; most of the time the player passing the puck passes it behind the goalie or nowhere near the open winger; very frustrating; any advice on this. 2. My passing in general is always below 50% is there something I am missing to increase this; it just seems when I'm aiming to the open player I want the pass to go to it goes to a different player; again frustrating. Thanks for any replies.

    I'm new to the NHL games, and I had no idea why everyone's controls were so different to mine and why these guides were so unhelpful, and then I realized I use hybrid controls and I had no idea they were "noob controls." Great. Time to relearn the game.

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому

      Damn, sorry to hear that. For the most part, hybrid gives you the best of both worlds so not everything you learned was useless. Its really just transitioning from buttons to the sticks.

      When you go to instant replay, press Y or Triangle to get rid of the black bar on the bottom which will allow you to see your stick positioning.

    So about your center's. Do you prefer leftys or rightys. Or do you choose based on stats?

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому

      Stats mostly, the only reason I would care if my centers are leftys or rightys is if I have a faceoff in my opponents zone on the powerplay. If I'm on the right side, I prefer a righty to stick lift to the open man on the right for a set face off play and vice versa.

      A lot of the ways I mentioned here will work in EASHL, rebounds, cuts, 1ters, and breakaways. You can set up some more redirects too if you work with your team.
      If you are playing against player goalies, you have to be unpredictable (like the wrap around maneuver). 1Ters from bad angles can get them good too. There is also a breakaway cheese there where you can take a slap shot toward one side on a breakaway and unless the goalie is hugging the post it goes through him.

    what do feel about online players who player lock on one position(skill zone) I do it and I get criticism for it.

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому

      Player Locking is not considered skill zoning. Its frowned upon because most people believe the AIs are stronger than players so they are the ones doing all the work. I personally don't care if you position lock BUT, it will not help you become better at the game so I think its useless.

    • @rainbow_waif7897

      I don't think the prices for the extremely hairy collectibles will decrease... If anything, near the end of the month, they'll get higher. I just try sniping em.

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому

      Well they may go down when the season ends and everyone is opening packs and selling the collectibles. I'd still wait until that time, or maybe after a round. Just makes sure you are around shortly after the round is over to try to snipe some for less.

    aiming your clappers bottom left and right will get you more goals versus human goalies in EASHL

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  6 років тому +1

      Hmm thats pretty good advice! I think thats something I don't have too much experience in since I always play against computer goalies.

    • @lvlewtube7956
      @lvlewtube7956 6 років тому

      I find you're way less likely to get robbed by a big EA animation glove or blocker save keeping your one timers along the ice. A lot of good 6s goalies depend on those dramatic animations to stop the crosses. One day I got frustrated and decided to just keep my shots along the ice after missing the net high several times and hitting a few posts. I was amazed at how drastically my one timer percentages improved and how I could be deadly accurate putting the puck inside the post.
