    This was actually really helpful. I just started getting into nhl last year and I’ve been trying to understand zones, positioning, and pressure. Now I’m gonna be a demon

    Would it have killed EA to display what each play looks like on the right side? Come on! Also, it annoys me that when you adjust camera angles is does not show you a preview of what it looks like.

      I don't really set my strats for a couple nhl mins. I can figure out his forecheck at least and likely his d set up. I wouldn't recommend passive ever really....alot of goals come from turnovers on his breakout or i get scored on when i make a bad.line change....dont get cocky.with line changes when it's not deep moving forward

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  4 роки тому +5

      Well I'm an idiot, you are the first person to point this out in the past three years. I forgot there were 4 settings instead of three. I stopped on the third one and moved to the next setting 😂. Thank you for pointing this out. I'll be sure to include it next time!

    Its mostly because the plays tend to stay the same its how well a team can execute them. I still see strats I learned in minor hockey. Its the advanced strats you can choose a few of to work around.

  • @skinflaver
    @skinflaver 4 роки тому

    In minor hockey I was a defensive defenceman and I could read and stop plays so my couch set us up 1-3-1 defence set up. When I get the puck the setup is made so I shouldn't have to think of where my guys are I should know where they are depending on where I am on the ice I will know where they should be.

      We were a collapsing team. Our goalie wasn't that good. My goalie said always take the passer.

      its definitely back... i played some guy where if i won the faceoff the game would desync and go back to the faceoff and when he won the game playedout normaly.... this was off the draw... he actualy scored, then it happened again, then he got disconnectd. I didnt realize there was a way to do this purposely and it seemed odd , the game also didnt count as a loss but did eat a contract... didnt count as a game played in hut comp seasons though...... can someone elaborate?

      I've tried your strategies, it helped a bit, but still I'm bad in ofense. Also goalies are savings my one timers with ease. Even from close. Last year div 1 or div 2, this year I'm in 6 and struggling to stay there :-)

    one question. I have huge issue when entering zone every time, but really every time I've been sourrounded with at lest 2 guys and smashed over the board. I've tried to pass, to deke to protect the puck, L2/LT, all that sh... and nothing man. I'm just getting busted by the boards. If I try in the middle 5 guys waiting to poke or kick my a... What to do man......

      Dump in. it works also as a great way to change lines and its 50/50 that you will get the puck to yourself from it. And its also good because you can get easy turnover in neutral zone and attack fast from that

    Wait u said if the efficiency/energy slider is set to 10 then it makes them try harder but I thought it was the other way around? Isn’t 0 max efficiency and 10 max energy saving?

    • @ShreddedByScience
      @ShreddedByScience 4 роки тому

      J Dobbz max efficiency and max energy saving is the same thing isn’t it? 0 they’re trying to conserve energy, 10 they’ll be going all out.

    Ive found that behind the net looks nothing like the diagram....the other 2 forwards besides puck carrier crash the net..there not all spread out

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  4 роки тому

      I don't see the issue. The puck carrier is the one by the faceoff dot, there is one forward behind the net, and one that crashed the net. Keep in mind that your positioning affects where the AIs are!

    • @TerryBollea1
      @TerryBollea1 4 роки тому

      @@Brianstormed Watched it again...your right. I thought the carrier was BEHIND the net. I normally use this setting on my goon line (4th) and carry it in to the office. This makes the other 2 goons crash the he net, and gives me good one time options for them. It works alot better then the actual crash the net option cause you have more the one guy skating in. For the other lines I use overload for 1 and 2, and 3 is either overload, or another behind the net depending on if Im running 2 goon lines or not. Usually with a good franchise, Ill have have one ALL goon line (4th) and a back up goon on the 3rd, in case one from the 4th gets a misconduct.

    Oh dont you worry even when its set at 0 my players still go offside. Mostly cause the other guys AI interferes mine and holds him outside the blue line. Has anyone else had this problem? Happens to me quite a lot and its pissing me off.

    • @Brianstormed
      @Brianstormed  4 роки тому

      Yeah the offside issue is still a prevalent problem, however, I think with these strategies it happens less often.
