i was literally searching up how to play offence in nhl 18 and 1 hour later you post this. thank you
haha perfect timing!
10:40 YES! That's what I needed. Gold. Thanks again dude
Watching this I'm realizing that I've mirrored a lot of these moves subconsciously over the last year or so. I do the exact same things. Got me to top 100 in Vs! Great video.
Haha very nice, congratulations on top 100!
You’re the best informative NHL content creator I’ve seen. Amazing stuff, even if I still have trouble with quick decision making and small refined stick movement and aim.
Thanks dude!!! All of that will come over time with patience and practice!
No sleeves is dope too
I don't know if you mentioned it but for those who dont know you can cancel a pass by pressing LB if you want to practice what he is doing in the video
Yeah I mentioned it in a previous video.
Brianstormed bae
Great video as always. I’m looking forward to the deking video specifically when to use them.
Can you make a how to cycle video....this is an area that im lacking in as most of my offense comes off the rush. Your puck protection an cycles are amazing
I'll look into having a video like this in the future, thanks for the suggestion!
Really nice video bro. Thanks !
Brianstormed you are Pro!!
idk what it is but it always feels like my poke checks do next to nothing while my opponents always sends the puck 20 feet away. Also my players cant seem to get a rebound to save their lives. Im still div 1 so im not a terrible player but i definitely lose a lot of games because my opponent's players feel more assertive than mine
Might be a connection thing where your players aren't as responsive as your opponents. Try switching up things on your connection, whether its going wired/wireless, replacing routers, or opening ports..anything could help there. If you are talking about not being able to pick up and shoot in rebounds immediately, try to wait a little bit for your player to pick up the puck and then shoot rather than spamming the shot.
Agree with you 100. I’m also div 1
Nice vid! It'd be cool if you put these into a playlist to make them easier to find
They can all be found here: ua-cam.com/play/PLk6pkrcYDtk8WAifWSnvuSRfSxWOa-Xh2.html
Cool, it turns out I just didn't see the "show more" option in your playlists...
Like the channel been watching since nhl17. I got 11 overall last tourney, but i still have problems with guys that play comp d or do alot of skillzoning, i usually cannot power past them with speed ( my teams very fast) and unless i get momentum early the whole game is slow and opportunities are few and far between
Are you talking about skill zone in the offensive zone or just players not playing defense when in the neutral zone?
i love the vid secret to goals gg
Do you ever use LB to take the puck along the boards? Very powerful and no penalties.
yup! i showcase that in my defense video.
Hi Brian have a wonderfulday!!!
Aww thanks! You too!
Hey man love your channel! I am a division 2-3 player and I am having trouble picking a top tier goalie. Currently have ice card bobrovsky but he lets in a ton of garbage would love a video of the top goalies or even just a comment about who you think is the best goalie. Thank so much!
Jon Ward Price any version he is solid or kolzig
Yeah I heard Kolzig is really solid. Brodeur is good too but may let in a bunch of garbage. He tends to stop a lot of high percentage shots to make up for it.
holtby ice card
Hey!
Can you please tell me what strategy you use?
I feel my team is never involved in my offensive plays and your team is always ready for a shot.
ua-cam.com/video/8GPJCKCPXpY/v-deo.html
Cool video! I have exactly issues playing like this, quite often got stopped on blue line, terrible!
I am wondering, do you often release left stick to decrease speed of player to perform those really wide and fast dongles like on 8:59 where you do almost 270 degree turn in split moment? Can you make a video for those with the on screen controls visible from instant reply? That would be really appreciated!
All righty, seems like 14:34 answers my wish :)
Yeah! Anyway, what I mean, more of those practice mode replays would help a lot and so we could try to reproduce that. Thanks again!
Glad I put that clip in the video! I'm currently looking for a way to have all of my stick movements in my videos for you guys. Thanks for the comment!
Big fan of yours bro... Would love to play you brutha
While I'd love to play, I unfortunately don't have time to play against everyone who asks. Maybe in the future I'll host another community night to play with subs/viewers (:
Thanks! What away jersey are you using? I love it!
DEL's Krefeld Pinguine
Brianstormed looks like the other Penguin team in that league. Fischtown or whatever.
Great video. Do you play on PS4 or Xbox?
Xbox
What are good strats for breakout though? As in the strong side slant stuff.
Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/8GPJCKCPXpY/v-deo.html&lc=UgzqgR_jx_sH6tBA7kh4AaABAg
Holding A is is under offensive move list.
Can I increase player size on zone angle, the players look so small
Nope. But if you want something a little more zoomed in, I found Classic to be pretty good as well!
Brianstormed, ok thanks
Is it worth completing the Evolution set in HUT or should I sell the collectibles instead?
sell
Brianstormed that's what I was thinking, just wanted some reassurance. Thanks man, keep up the good work!
What difficulty was the practice mode on?
Usually its on Superstar, doesn't make a difference on how the goalie reacts though.
I can’t figure out how to do a slap shot one-timer? Anyone know?
Pull back on the right stick and when you are ready press RT or R2 (while aiming with the left stick)
descent!
What camera angle is this?
Zone
Thanks
I suck at being patient. Like I have such a hard time doing it!! Another question....why would you suggest going for a 1-2-2 passive and 1-4 defence? I find guys are always....always on me...they have super aggressive defences and your strategy suggetion (other video) doesn't really work.
ua-cam.com/video/QJjH9ya-Cbc/v-deo.html His strategies are more pressure based. Not saying one is right or the other...but just trying to understand yours. What I do like is setting my strategies to behind the net. It allows me to master one thing...and one thing only. But apparently BTN only works if the D is in a certain formation. Sorry lots of questions...getting better...but man ..my rating is sub 370 and all the guys are super good. Odd time I'll get someone who I can beat.
THANKS!
Brianstorm is bae

Show offensive vs skillzone
When it comes to skill zone, you have to use your defensemen and get around one of your opponents players, fake a shot, and then take a clean shot at the net. Thats usually the best method, but you could always go for redirects, screens, one timers, or back doors.
Hey what camera view do you use?
classic
Notification squad for the boys
This years game seems like it's more about luck than anything else. I have had countless games of being pissed off due to some lame shit like a puck bouncing of the boards and slowly hitting the back of the goalies skate, and in the net, like they can't just reach down and pick the shit up.
Depends on the game mode. A game mode like Versus is a bit more luck based just because player overalls are lower and the chances of taking a shot on net are lower. With high overalls in HUT you'll find your players are a lot more consistent with their movement, shooting, and puck handling. Something like the puck bouncing off the boards and hitting the back of the goalies skate to go in is tough luck, but shouldn't happen too often. The luck stuff is more like players keep missing empty nets (from one timers) or the opponent scoring goals from impossible angles because they aren't taking the time to set up and just shoot in on net, then it trickles in.
😍😍
A good way to change the tide of a game you're losing is by Calling a Timeout and Changing your Goalie. Set your controller down and take a little break, works every time.
Nice video brainstormed. Thank you. When I’m get that sub @my channel
Thank you for the love. But when we going get video for average players which do. But what about this year the game is bad. I know bacon reply to one your videos then mike p back you reply to bacon. I know we not here to fight we have to support our nhl community. But damn why is it I build a team. I rank in top 400 competitive season and now I’m rank in 6000. Like come Easports with the broken game.
All suddenly my players can’t skate can’t pass can’t play defense can’t get puck right in front of them change direction when trying get puck change direction when your about to make defense play. Delayed when shooting delayed when passing. Your the only player in their zone where your team to help to set up offense play. Like really ea. And if you call ea or use chat live. They say we give to specialist team. Then tell you go online to ea form to make complains. And that’s where the ea team look so they can fix game. Where hell if we been complaining about this for how many years small problems. Well maybe it time to boycott game next year. Then maybe 2k will make a game then it make ea fix the game.
I spent $100 last year spent $110 this year. And all they can say is we give your complain to the specialist team. Oh yeah I can’t have hard copy no more bc we gone dlc with games. Is that slap in our face to say we got you again and you can’t trade it back to eb games or game stop. This why board cast and stream my games so ea can go look at damn video themselves which they won’t bc they don’t care.
Well shit back to the aderall
Do you play hockey?
I used to play floor hockey but I never got skated on ice.
Brianstormed, cool. I used to play floor hockey too, and I might start ice hockey next season.
That's awesome! I'm jealous. Are you playing for school or beer league?
Brianstormed, probably the local travel team. At the bantam level.
Pro tip - play on rookie difficulty
You can, but it won't make you a better player ;)
Every mother flipper div 2 on up is a “glorified skillzoner”. Every one. Switch. Switch. Switch to AI for their D.
Hi Brian great video can u give me tips from my channel?
You gotta make each of your videos be different and unique. It starts with the title, description, and tags so that more people can see your videos.
I have zero interest in nhl nowadays
