  • What a week in Emporia - Unbound 200 mile race, round 2 of Life Time GP.
    4th Overall and on the Podium within the Life Time Series - 3rd place, STOKED!
    A storm came the night before making the course CARNAGE. We raced through some of the most brutal conditions. Massive thank you to the host family for looking after me this week and all my sponsors for supporting this journey!

    Awesome behind the scenes on a pro travellog! Congrats on you're race. Coulda' told you about AA. Terrible service last time I flew them - ten years ago! You're travel was actually worse than mine! I got delayed by work and rain, drove two days each way (2200 mi total), slept in the back of my pickup the night before and drove back the next day. (At least this year I brought tent cover - thankfully!) And the craziest part is I still can't wait for next year!

    Congrats on a great result! That was one tough day and yes a paint / mud stick is essential. At least you didn’t get hung up in barbed wire like I did. Sad when the travel home is worse than the ride - that sounded brutal and Dallas is notorious for weather problems. 🥵

    Danni incredible smashing results with conditions and jet lag. You would get even better results in a better weather year here. I found you by accident, but I think that I will see what you do next. Cheers

    Cycling is unreal - FOURTH!!!!!!! at Americas biggest race against the deepest woman’s field ever… but yeah.. running through airports and the day job. Been cycling for 55 years and nothing has effected me more than the semi pro life as shown in your vlog and Maddy’s. Hope you got home eventually - surely Vibro need to sponsor you - or give you a couple of days off with pay. PS When you’re not so knackered - tyres, gears etc. Keep the vlog coming.

    Folks in the midwest are unfailingly nice! I only hit the mud in the beginning of the 100, but it was something special! All Americans hate the airlines. We really do. Good job! Cheers!

    Great content, love seeing the before and after footage, instead of just the Unbound that most others post. As a person in professional audio, a note to who ever is editing to equalize the audio, I adjusted the volume about 20 times during the video! But of course I wasn't viewing it on a phone, might sound ok on one.

    Sounds like the first 10 miles of unbound was mud bound 😮. My question is why didn't people use mud tyres since you know there was going to be mud . Since it rained the day before. Prepare for the unexpected then it's not a surprise.

    • @dannishrosbree
      @dannishrosbree  Рік тому +1

      It’s all dependent on bike clearance and speed for the rest of the course. Yes the mud section was horrendous and caused a nightmare for most but then a good 195 miles of the course was majority fast gravel! So it’s getting the balance of speed vs surface function!

    Oh man I didn't realize it was you when we were chatting just after landing in LA before they opened the door and then you charged away to your connecting flight. And then that guy closed the door on us and had to re-open it again as matter of protocol? What the heck was that all about. Anyway, what a pain to have to go through after riding the 200. I thought KC > Dallas > LA was a pain after Unbound but you were dealing with a whole other level of annoyance. Congrats on 4th overall on that tough day.

      Haha!! That guy cracked me hard, I was so sleep deprived. 🤣🤣 I was like I do not need this right now when I have just flown 3 hours in the wrong direction and might miss my next flight !! Hope you had a good race!

Guess AA forgot where the UK is and that they have international hubs in MIA, CLT, PHL, JFK and even DFW. Congrats on Your Race & Results....................sorry about the trip home😎
