This was absolutely fantastic! I followed all day on IG and thought you guys did a great job covering it as well as you did, but this video edit, 48 hours later, is epic! Watching "Call of a Lifetime", is what got me into gravel biking and the Life Time team continues to bring the heat. Thanks for all your hard work, team! It's greatly appreciated!
It is a fantastic shot, but doesn't the drone negatively affect the riders that are behind it? This is a sport of marginal gains, and I think I would be pretty pissed if I had to sprint through a drone-induced headwind at the end of a 9-hour race. If the drone is off to the side, or flies a little higher and zooms in, we'd get a similar shot with much less disprution for the riders.
ONE PERSON edited this? Blake my dude what the fuck. How much caffeine did you consume in the last 3 days? Great fucking job to the film crew, sorting this footage, and clipping this together.
Kudos to those who put in an epic few days compiling and editing this video. I can't imagine going through the hundreds of hours of raw footage and interviews! Great work to all the unsung heroes!
Yeah nice video about the event in general, but there is basically nothing about the race, just few shots here and there. But it's not a race recap it's a documentary about the event
@@kubackjeeewhat are you talking about? The race was covered. They don’t have 17 helicopters running around catching every second. For the most part the race is pretty mundane from hour to hour. These are just the highlights. Quit being so negative this is infinitely better than any other race recap
LDC's laugh is perfect for a horror movie. So glad to see Hannah and Dylan slowly but surely making progress. LTGP's production is awesome. This one was phenomenal!
Absolutely outstanding footage - that women's sprint drone footage 🔥 - and production, especially on the tight timeline. This is everything the racers deserve. Kudos to the entire team putting it together.
Constructive criticism: I want to see the race. I specifically don't want to see the commentators. The presentation style of this and the other Life Time Grand Prix videos is very much a presentation of an epic event, but I feel like frequently the race suffers because of it. This is the best place to watch the race and the video is only an hour long. If we remove all the introductions, histories, interviews, etc, etc, we're down to less than 40 minutes. That's only 40 short minutes for a 200 mile gravel race. The strategies, attacks, the unfolding story of the day is getting lost in the priorities. I think your audience is dramatically more knowledgeable about cycling and racing than you are giving them credit for. The American NBC style Olympic coverage that needs to cater to people who have no idea what's going on is less important, IMHO, than making sure the race stands front and center above the fanfare. I still appreciate this more than I can say, but I've got to ask for what I want or nobody will know ;-)
Give the footage to Lantern Rouge and we'll have a more informative 10 minute summary than this whole coverage. But I guess the purpose of this video is a showcase.
Hey LT crew, phenomenal job, as always! As a race fan, I love the coverage. But as a lover of cycling I was nearly moved to tears hearing about Dani Shrosbree staying with a local family and mentoring a local HS cyclist. Please keep finding and incorporating stories like this!
Best event I've ever participated in. Everything and everyone was top notch. Glad to have completed the 100 (my first Unbound). The race staff and town of Emporia were all stellar. Welcoming and supportive. We let the pros be pros, while we were out there on our own journeys, competing against ourselves, the heat and the terrain. There was plenty of room for all of that at this race. Thank you 🤘
I really respect your responses to all the criticism. I’m sure you worked really hard on this and it’s pretty awesome that you can take the criticism with grace. Well done.
Truly appreciate your comment and thanks for taking the time to write. We’ve got half the team 💤 while the other half is getting hyped on Crusher and Leadville!
Kudos to Lifetime for putting on an amazing event! It’s great to see the pointy end of the race here (was also really neat to see them blow by me on the 100 course, but I had no idea what was going on.) I want to mention how neat the event is for the average Jane and Joe athlete. The volunteers were amazing and took great care of everybody. I continue to feel overwhelmingly grateful to the families who come out to watch, cheer, and even have coolers of cold drinks. Just amazing to see the love and support from the community! Thanks for putting this event on, it was fantastic!
So glad that you enjoyed your time in Emporia! Seeing the faces after the lead riders approached at high speed was priceless. Game recognizes game, as they say!
Great job! Amazing work, Congratulations to the whole team at LTGP and all the race participants for making such a long race so exciting like a crit race. Who wants to watch the Tour coverage after this. That women's final sprint finish drone footage just killed it.
Amazing film. What a cool race series. I love how you showed more than the race but the stories behind it. UCI take note. This is how you promote a race and keep viewers engaged!

The race itself is unbelievable event but this aftermovie is a work of art. Complete coverage of all key moments, superb structure of the whole event and interviews, great cinematography (the drone shot of women finish was epic), great music, great everything. Absolutely awesome work. It was like watching some action movie. And the delivery time is unbelievable. Great work guys!
I'd love to see more race footage of some of those important moments earlier in the race. Footage of finish was fantastic, would be great to see when those splits, breakaways, flats, crashes, etc happened too. Amazing effort to get this done in two days though, great work Blake and Cold Collaborative folks!
What a utterly fantastic edit of an utterly fantastic race, the camera work was brilliant. The drone shot of the women's sprint was just on another level. Lachlon winning for me was the icing on the cake.Thank you Lifetime.
